A landmark win for Angel City FC came as the hosts defeated OL Reign, 2-1, behind goals from Clarisse Le Bihan and Madison Hammond helped establish a two-goal lead. A Megan Rapinoe penalty near the end of regulation saw the Reign pull one back, but in the end Angel City was able to hold on for a crucial three points.

@BUCKconservatives that's my main thought as well. The only way that could not be a handball (because it clearly was) is they ruled Rose flicked it into Thompson's arm on purpose.

the reason was that the arm was not extended in an unnatural position given the proximity to the ball and Rose as well... which seems fair..

that goalkeeping performance from Dickey was an absolute disaster choice from Harvey. zero reason to demote PTJ for that match. Zero and she didn't own it afterwards either. Tziarra and Huitema are both totally lost rn and appear to be playing the sport for the very first time in their lives. just disaster performances from all three of them plus that manager last night.

That penalty kick was a joke. OL Reign flopped when they got in the box. The ref was awful all game, but in particular too deferential to Rapinoe (who I'm a big fan of).
