So this is THE INFAMOUS SALLY STEELE! I'VE SEEN HER, BUT DIDN'T PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER WHEN I SAW THE AWARDS PRESENTATION WITH EDDIE TRUNK. SALLY YOU ARE F-ING AWESOME FOR PUTTING THAT TOGETHER AND FOR THIS MOST WONDERFUL INTERVIEW!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!!! I've been an Angel fan 4-EVER!!! Too young to see them. Parental control grippage and then family moved to a remote island in the Atlantic Ocean! 😢. HOWEVER, got to see them in 2023, COMPLETELY SOLD OUT SHOW! I should have added to the docu, but I had never seen them, but the *memories*... oh, the ever loving memories.... sigh... THANK YOU, SALLY AND PUNKY AND FRANK! IT WAS SO GOOD TO HEAR YOUR CHAT!!! THE BAND MADE MY DREAMS COME TRUE!!!! If I can finagle three puppies, will be following you!!! Two pups are okay, but three? They are crate trained and do not bark incessantly. We'll see! LOVE YOU(S) GUYS AND GREATEST SHOW AND YOU HAVEN'T CHANGED A BIT!! I'M AMAZED BY FRANK'S VOICE! HE HASN'T BLOWN HIS VOCAL CHORDS AND EVERYONE LOOKS 20!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I had LASIK surgery, and 20/15 vision! I CAN SEE VERY WELL, NO READERS!!! 😂😅😊❤ NO KIDDING. 😊
@@michaelconrad6631 what's so funny..The joke is not on me but perhaps on you wise guy You shouldn't be commenting on a post if you don't like that certain band or artist. Are you a musician, Are you in the industry?
@@Nic1973KISS Just recently got that book in the mail. I´m looking forward to reading another perspective on the band. In the Wing & A Prayer book Gordon GG Gerbert´s narrative is about what a bunch of horrible jerks they turned out to be.
Cool. I "discovered" Angel when I was 15 and thoroughly absorbed with Kiss at the time. Actually, my brother picked-up the first two albums and I couldn't believe how these guys looked! They literally looked like they could be actual angels or what you would expect an angel to look like. Just incredible looking guys! Then I listened to the music! I was hooked! It didn't hurt that this timing dovetailed perfectly with me joining my first band, which was of all things, a "progressive rock" band. What I mean is that Angel's first 2 albums, were bordering on progressive rock, with more instrumentation than Kiss, for instance and they became more commercial but it was all great stuff that I listen to, to this day. I saw Angel 5 times in the 70s in Erie PA twice, Pittsburgh PA, Akron OH and Binghamton NY. I met Punky, Frank and Mickie Jones in Binghamton NY and they were super nice guys. They are exactly the same in this interview. Really genuinely nice guys which only makes me hold this band nearer and dearer to my heart - just great music and great feelings through and through for these guys! Interesting and cosmic NOTE: I worked with a guy at a design firm in NYC in the late 90s who claimed to be in a band with Punky in the 60s. I said "C'mon! Prove it." AND HE DID! A couple of days later he brings some 8"x10" glossy promo shots of a band called the English Setters! Sure enough, there he is with Punky and the others guys! He also had some Polaroids that were taken during their rehearsals. His name is Larry Shawn Gray and he played bass in the English Setters. Also a super nice guy who was great to work with and an excellent illustrator and artist. Nothing but good vibes! I love all of these guys! Great interview! Not surprised!!
angel was the coolest show , girls would hand frank roses, punky would smoke a joint that was thrown onstage drink a heinekin during his solo , angel was a big party !!!!!

@@briankeightly3361 Wow AC/DC with Bon Scott! Sometimes we don't realize what a privilege it was when we were seeing these legendary bands back in the day and only realize what a special time it was seeing them back in the day. Sounds like you have a great track record! I never kept ticket stubs. I had too much trauma throughout my life moving around constantly, sleeping in my car in Hollywood in the 80s on and on LOL
Punky, love Angel, love you're guitar work and hate to burst you're balloon but you didn't start the glam movement. T-REX, (Mark Bolin) Bowie, Mott the Hoople, Slade, Sweet, ...... Started Glam Rock
