They are now under the same team behind the Pantera celebration, and whilst Phil is singing everything live they are blending some of his studio vocals into the live mix, same with Charlie, they blend some of vinnies actual drumming into his mix to make it truly sound like Pantera. Same is being done here, Tom is absolutely singing live, but he did not do all that scream at the start, it’s actually from the album and blended in to his live vocals.
@@creepycrawler123 Come on, Charlie is playing live. He is very clearly not even playing to a click, so there's no way on earth they would be blending in Vinnie's tracks. They actually are blending his drum mics with drum samples from Vinnie, but that's a completely different thing. I also highly doubt Tom is lip-synching.
I was pretty much there to see nofx play the decline, but I caught the first 2 and last 2 songs of slayer. So glad I did, the production value was absurdly high.
I wonder if anyone will post the wall of death and circle pit. Kentucky you're in for a hell of a show, they sounded so good and Tom was sounding awesome.
Sounding awesome. Gary is just an absolute legend and I don't think anyone else could have filled in for Jeff. Bloody amazing stage presence and energy.
Dude. This! 100%! I always thought Paul was the third best (first worst)? You both are equally correct. Lombardo or ette would have been better. There was a time where I thought Dette could play it better than Dave...maybe once. Kinda wished they kept Dette. He deserved to have at least one LP with slayer
Tom sounds SO much better than the guy Kerry King has singing in his band... World of difference! I'm glad Kerry is still doing his thing with his own band though. Will see Slayer at Aftershock!!
And whatever sampling technology they tried using on Paul's kicks is absolutely terrible... Bring back the old man you replaced kid... All he needs is microphones..
No one really knows why, but Kerry king forms his own band which is basically just slayer with machine heads guitarist and another Hispanic guy (Marc osegueda) and he wrote his own stuff but they played slayer songs live and then out of nowhere earlier this year slayer announced they’re reforming and are doing 2 shows this one and one at a festival in Kentucky. Kind of weird.
They were but then they announced they were gonna do a couple of one-off shows this year. Apparently they're not gonna be touring or making any new music though and Kerry King has said his solo band is his first priority now. Whether it stays that way however I guess time will tell!
@@HammerHeart3229 I’m sure once the numbers come in for riot fest and louder than life they will be announcing some more shows. I feel like they’re gonna play the DWP festivals
@@Huddle_House56 You might be right actually. I guess money talks at the end of the day. I suppose it also depends on whether Tom is bored of retirement and has the itch again!
People ask me why I don't like new metal bands. Here is exhibit A. I grew up listening to this auditory a$$-whooping on a daily basis. New bands just don't have this level of viciousness. Why waste time listening to them when I can listen to this?
They still sound pretty damn good…idk about showing actual footage from Auschwitz though, especially nowadays. Too many weirdos get their rocks off to that kinda shit these days.
