You're going all in, looking great. I hope to get a trailer converted sometime soon too but I doubt it'll be as fancy as yours. I have two cargos, both newer. One is 7x16 and the other is 6x12 both 7' ceiling heights. Im thinking the 6x12 would suit me better to keep the weight down and its more compact plus easy to do an axle flip for additional ground clearance for boondocking in our local mountains here in So Cal. I'm about ready to purchase the insulation, already have 400watts solar but I know it'll be a little project that will take more than 4 months to complete.
Thanks for the compliment! Some folks build nice campers but I'm not into camping that way. I love the outdoors but I don't want to eat or sleep in it! 😁 I have a 6 x 12 that I modified for work purposes that I may add a fold-down bed for just in case. I wish you well on your project! I've found one advantage already of building it yourself. One of my neighbors in Florida was fidgeting around inside my trailer as I was installing the diesel heater and he accidentally pulled one of the wires loose. Since I wired it myself I knew where to look and made it nearly impossible for someone to accidentally pull the wires loose again. If someone else had built it, I wouldn't know where to start. No need. For the right side of the trailer, the windows are too small to get out of for most adults. What you can't see on the left side is there is a latch on each window that I can hit and whole window will drop down in case of emergency. The latches have key locks on the outside for security but a person from the inside can open them. Thanks for the concern and suggestion!
Looks like its going to be a great camper. 👍 talk about high security level 10 with thoses bars on the windows. You must plan on leaving it in the woods ? 😮
I did go a little far with mine. You can start by buy a smaller single axle trailer but you'd be limited as to what you can add but a minimalist wouldn't worry about that. Thanks for watching!
