😢These are HAPPY tears I'm a former Fosterchild,and we only received 3gifts and that would include clothing if we put it on our list;and depending on your foster parent you may or may not get the gifts especially if they had grandchildren your age so thank you for doing what you did I speak for them when I say Thank You.
I’m not doing Christmas gifts for my babies due to financial difficulties but just having a nice meal together maybe bake a cake is enough. I hope to be in your shoes someday, where we get to look back at the times we couldn’t afford diapers and wipes, let alone Christmas gifts, and buying things for other kids. I hope god blessed you with much more success in the coming year. ❤
No judgement here. I would like to just offer some advice because we've all been there. When your finances are better, get yourself a plastic container with a lid and cut a hole in the top. Duct tape the lid close. As you get paid or have extra money, get $10 rolls of quarters (empty them from the wrapping) and random store gift cards for $10, $25, $50 ( Walmart, Target-only store cards). This is what I call a hard time box. When times get hard, go to that box. You will be amazed at what you've set aside. I hope this helps. Bless you and your family.

we did this as a child. our church had a huge tree in the lobby with a bunch of these on them and every time it came around the holidays each of us would take one off the tree and go shopping. When it was almost christmas just seeing the amount of gifts that everyone had accumulated for these families was incredible. It was a great lesson taught to me at a very young age about it’s better to give than to receive. And i hold that very dear to my heart to this day. I think that’s why my love language is giving. I love seeing this and seeing more people aware that these are around

NGL. This year has been good for me. I bought my family gifts - but I was able to pick an Angel List. First time. I hope he likes it. Thank God for providing in these times.
My job does the same thing. They set up a Xmas tree with kids gender, age, and what they asking for. I felt the same way the first time I was thinking in grabbing one. When I did it broke my heart! This kids are from shelters around the county and let me tell you it is the saddest thing ever. They were asking for a pillow. Blankets. Socks. A handicap teen wanted puzzles I mean little stuff like that and then you got my kids in the other side asking for a ps5, the latest phone. The latest cool shoes. Money. Etc. I told my kids and I made them see that not everyone is as lucky as others. I grabbed 4 tags of the Xmas tree that year and been doing it since then. It makes my heart happy because at least I can help someone a little ❤ it doesn’t take much to be compassionate.

It really is heart warming when your able to help out other families in need during the holidays. My son’s daycare had an angle tree and we picked out about 3 kids and 2 adults. ❤️
This is amazing ❤I have three kids on a 4 days/9 hour shifts have been shopping for Christmas since July/ August to prepare ❤gives me so much hope for the future

It means a lot I remember when I was young my mom didn't have a lot of money and she signed us up for the Christmas tree program angel tree and I'm so so happy to get amazing gifts from perfect strangers that's growing up I know now that that's what those presents came from
Awww, I worked @Publix as a teen, my mom owned our small town video store & our high school ALL had "Angel Trees"; I'd low key grab 1s for 3siblings in same fam that we knew so were kind + so needed & deserved great Xmas; myself & 2lil bros ♥️ to shop for em + Was awesome to see em stoked to return from winter break wearing new kicks, outfit, bag/backpack & trendy accessories (late 90s)

We all need it. We’re all struggling with something. If we could only remember that when we approach people or they approach us, the world would be a kinder place, wouldn’t it? If we would just turn to God in that moment and ask Him to use us to Bless that person, imagine the kind of world it would be. Imagine the kind of world it would be for that person in the moment. Whoever told you that, they are exactly right every year we adopt a group home for Christmas with older kids I can honestly say I have witness a lot of older kids never get anything for Christmas
It's a beautiful blessing to be a blessing to others, especially at Christmas time! I used to gift out food baskets at Christmas, but because of Covid-19 I stopped giving out food, I now give out $25 Shoprite gift cards, which is better, I just love seeing everyone blessed and happy! We did this at kmart when i was about 10. It was the best Christmas ever. I felt like santa and it was good. I even wanted to not get many gifts the next year to be able to do more kids. Doing this with my child!!

When my uncle was in prison, he made sure my sister and I got gifts from the Angel Tree. I've never ran across one. Hopefully, I will next Christmas. ❤

This is the true meaning of Christmas.. My 14 years old son didn't see Christmas.. He was home all the time no gift no ntn not even a call from his father... I wish we ave a angel tree
