Singapore’s Angela Lee faced dangerous Brazilian grappler Istela Nunes in the main event of ONE: DYNASTY OF HEROES. As the fans chanted her name, Angela methodically picked apart Nunes in the first round, bringing her to the ground and locking in a Twister submission. Istela Nunes showed the heart of a warrior and powered through to the second round.
Angela was relentless in her pursuit of the finish however, pressing Nunes up against the cage and locking in the anaconda choke before pulling Nunes to the ground, submitting her in the second. With the win, Lee improved her record to a pristine 8-0!

Facts. I literally just watched a video on Angela and her family. I didn't know they was a world class fighting family. Angela and her brother Christian was both world champions and their younger sister Victoria would've been ( RIp 🙏 ). Now im binge watching all their fights.

One of Angela's underrated assets is her ability to take punches. Lets face it, most of the time whoever she is fighting against has a better stand up than she does and will land hits on her, but it barely phases her. She takes the punches and keeps coming.

Angela is one of my favorites. I know its already been said but she does need to learn head movement or she is going to get KO'd when she goes up in competition. Love her. She could be one of the pound for pound best female fighters in the world with just a little bit of stand up work.

won't be unless they get rid of knees and kicks to the head on a downed opponent. No legit athletics commission will allow that to be a standard. They will not be able to become world wide like ufc with rules like that. And quite honestly it's surprising no one really uses it much in this league. If you look at pride they had no rules like here and the kicks to the head on a downed opponent is just hard to watch.

I say this every fight she is incredible on the ground but 1 day someone will come along with world class striking and take down defense and just straight up nail her to the ground unless she gets her striking to be on the level of her ground game.

@@Tenz220 Angela Lee is an Atomweight meaning she weighs around 105 lbs or less. Bantamweight is around 115 - 118 lbs. Angela would get destroyed in Bantamweight because she has never been that heavy let alone trained at that weight class.

In street fight, wing chun or other striking martial arts is more effective than ground fighting technique. MMA rules favors ground fighting.

These are some tough chicks but when some of the fighters run a combined weight of less than 250, the ref always looks like he could take them both at the same time
