La prima cosa che si sente è la cattiva pronuncia del testo italiano. Urla e grida nella cabaletta, accompagnate da un vibrato che fa ascoltare due o anche tre note insieme. Lei sarebbe la stella del Met???
Sorry this isn’t a vibrato. It’s a wobble. She sounds like a car alarm or an ambulance 🚑 she probably needed one after the cabaletta and Verdi would have needed one if he had heard her. Reminds that mental case of Theodossiu.
Dragan Vidic yeah. Mental case. Theodossiu. Yup. Car alarm wobble, sloppy coloratura, a parade of wrong repertoire, screamed high notes. That’s the one I’m talking about.
I must say and it's not a critique to yukio who is to be thanked, that the record' is by necessity amateur like I was there and for my ears, I am Italian, the pronounce was good. She had a wonderful full voice wide range and very emotional! I am one of her admirers so I might be biased but I thank her so much because she gifted us with the pivilege of coming to Turin and sing for us in her marvellous way!
