I think the left underestimated the power media still has over, mostly, older voters. We tried to outflank it using independent media but only young people get their news from many diverse sources. Even the framing of your point is based on arguments regurgitated in corporate media. That's not your fault, that's the left's fault for misreading the media landscape. I'm surprised our ideas are popular with so much negative press being pushed about M4A, paid sick leave, 15 dollar minimum wage, Green New Deal, gun control, etc. Oh well, we live to fight another day if Bernie can't overcome this deficit.

The government would be in charge of baseline healthcare for everyone, AND if you have the money to put towards private supplemental healthcare on top of what the government provides, you could do that if you wanted. No one would lose healthcare under his plan; everyone who doesn't currently have it would have it, and if you wanted more than the baseline, you pay for it like you do now.
