Angela!! Jenny is my favorite too! So good to see you look up to her too! I really enjoy watching your show, as well!! Your personality makes your show! Well, that and that you are quite gifted with your quilting. Thanks!!
I’m so happy when my quilts get finished and then I look at those quilts in Houston and I am overwhelmed by the levels of artistry. Thanks for the peek.
I agree with you. I feel proud of what i've achieved until i see what these incredible people (both men and women) have done and feel arghhhhhhh I NEED TO DO MORE!!!!
Angela, I want to say how much I love your enthusiasm, PJs and wine and your INCREDIBLE talent. Ohhh no - jealousy moment!!!! As for Jenny???!!! Well, she's also incredible. I was soooooooo happy to watch this from Sydney Australia and see my two fav quilters together. Thank you.
I am so fortunate to know so many amazing people......I am so glad that I got to introduce you to them!! I am definitely a hugger.....just a heads up in case we ever meet!
Jenny Doan taught me how to sew by watching her videos. I LOVE Jenny Doan!! It’s my dying wish to meet her and thank her for teaching me. She’s amazing!! 🙋🏻♀️Hi Jenny! ❤️❤️😍😍
Angela -- this was the best ever video (other than the Midnight Quilt Show) to see the Houston quilt show. I've never been, but you gave all of us a wonderful look and feel for the event. Your interview with Jenny Doan was really great, and I loved seeing some of the prize-winning quilts. Please do this again every year so we can be "there" with you!! Thanks so much.
Jenny is such a nice lady and a great inspiration. I love how easy her tutorials are and so much fun to watch. Thank you Miss Doan for sharing your talent and starting this "new" way of quilting.
Fantastica ANGELA...noi siamo delle appassionate dei QUILTS ( in Italia sul lago di Lugano vicino la Svizzera) e abbiamo la fortuna di vedere Voi così lontani che ci date tanta gioia...GRAZIE DI CUORE
Angela It was a pleasure meeting you in Houston. You make me laugh and I make you cry! Imagine my surprise when I saw my photo with you on this video. I have just returned to New Zealand with wonderful memories of you all at Craftsy. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. It was a memorable evening. A big hug from far away.
Oh my Dear! Thank you so much for taking us along on your trip. I use to quilt but had a tragedy in my life. While moving, all my sewing things were stolen from me, even my antique Singer treadle. Years of work on quilt tops (5), all my stash, rulers, quilting frame, well... everything, but my 1971 Kenmore (Singer) sewing machine. I was and am still, broken hearted! Haven't quilted or sewn for almost 4 years now, haven't had the heart to begin again. Now the good news! I started watching your show out of curiosity and have decided I will start quilting again, when I can afford it. Thank you so very much, you helped me heal and filled a hole in my soul. Btw, I am almost 66 yrs and getting younger each day!
My 2 favorite to watch are the midnight quilt show and MSQC. I love how you take it from cutting to finished. My favorite quote is "a finished quilt is better then a perfect quilt top"
Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! My two favorite quilting celebs together! Loved the video! It was almost like being there with you. I must have looked like a dork while I was watching it😜 Thanks for sharing! Loved it!
I loved this video Angela. You and Jenny together was great. I am a quilter also, but I have never been to a quilt festival before. The quilts there were beautiful.
As much as I LOVE Jenny , you brought the fun back to quilting for me. You are such a breath of fresh air and the reason I bought my first long arm ! Soooo excited you have your own channel ! Can’t wait for your new season xoxox
Lisa Probyn I agree completely ~ Angela's bright outlook and shiny personality are a much needed breath of fresh air in the quilting world. She revived my love of piecing & quilting; I'm hopelessly addicted in a way I never was before. I've been forced to get my friends hooked too, just so I'm not like the only grandma in the room, boring everyone with baby pictures. Now everyone is carrying quilt pictures. And we have Angela to thank for it!
Thank you for sharing your adventures at the quilt show, especially your conversation with Jenny and your Midnight quilter preview! How cool to see both Jenny and you in the same video, you are the two quilters I have enjoyed the most because you are so real and personable. Very happy to see that you are getting your own You Tube channel because the only videos I really watch on Craftsy are yours, so now I do not have to sort them our. So excited for your new season. Have fun!!!
Angela, I love all your videos, and love, love, love your quilting. I am so envious of you meeting Jenny. I made two trips to Hamilton, and missed her both times!
Thank you for showing us shots of the Houston quilt show. I couldn't make it this year, so your video let me be there. I loved that you showed us the outstanding quilts at the show. It is hard to believe a quilt out of leather. True craftsmanship there. I am glad you enjoyed this show. I can hardly wait to see what is next on the Midnight quilt show. Thank you.
Love love your show!!!! and love that you are so funny and light when showing us how to , it feels like the beginners can do it, and not feel overwhelmed
WOW!!!! those quilts are gorgeous, how exciting for you to get to go and share it with us..... Thank you and can't wait for the new season to start.......Thank you
Love the Quilt Festival! Go every year and I too got to meet Jenny!!! I was so freaking giddy! She is so Awesome!!! This is a very cool video!! Keep quilting Angela! Cant wait to see the bargelo!
Angela it was so exciting and fun to meet you in person. Hope you enjoyed the M &Ms and thank you so much for my signed book. Have got a lot of inspiration from it. ❤️
I'm so glad I've discovered Angela and her Midnight Quilter youtube videos! I LOVE Jenny Doan and have learned so much from her. (I'm in KC so get to go to Hamilton when the urge hits! ) Angela strikes me a younger version of Jenny with a more modern twist on fabrics. Cant wait to discover more and more. Jenny will always be my girl but there's always room at the table for another quilting diva!
So glad you showed so much the Festival. I would love to be able to see it in person. I love your tutorials, and Missouri Star Quilt tutorials. Meeting you and Jenny are on my bucket list. Keep drinking that wine and cranking out those tutorials, God Bless you.
I'm so glad you made it to the festival! My mom and I loved meeting you and taking a picture with you. Can't wait to get started on the kit I bought from your booth.
Thank you so much for the inside look of the Quilt Festival 2017 - the quilts are amazing! I am making plans to attend the 2018 show and hoping you will be there; I would love to meet you in person. You are fun, inspiring and make me laugh when I really want to rip out my quilting and cry. Your show, books and tutorials are educational and I look forward to the new season.
You are so sweet! Thanks so much for watching......I can't tell you how much I appreciate the support! I hope we will be there in 2018 as well....fingers crossed.
Angela, so fun to come across this as I am scrolling Craftsy's/BP videos. The Color Crystal's Quilt which we talked about how our corner borders were different(!) finally was raffled off for our Guild, this past December. I hope to see you again in Houston 2019... keep smiling and making us laugh and sew!
Oh my goodness!!! I just love watching you!!! Thank you for showing us around the Quilt Festival! You make me smile and laugh...the family is giving me strange looks because of the stupid grin on my face! hahahaa I can't wait for the new season of the Midnight Quilt Show!!! EEEEK And congratulations on your own channel! I'm already subscribed so I won't miss out!!!
He didn't realize that I was on camera. He just saw me cut in line so he was nicely telling me that everyone had been waiting. He was shocked when he saw the camera.....I almost felt bad for him!
Thank you for showing what it was like at the quilt show. I wanted to just reach into my screen to fondle , I mean, touch that wall of red fabric. LOL I am looking forward to your upcoming videos.
I enjoyed watching the video, I will have to put this back on my list to do again because I got sick and didn't see any of the show last year when I was there. Love all that you do Angela Cheers from Australia.
Glad to see there are other people out there that caress fabrics they like (haha). I love your videos. This was such a fun video to see. I wish I had been able to go to the quilt show.
I too couldn't get to Jenny! Glad you got to see her. So glad I met you! Was really a highlight! Hope you found a home for the sewing machine decal I gave you. Hugs!!!!
I've always wondered what Quilt Market looks like, as I know it's just for people in the quilting business ... so thanks for recording some of it and sharing it with us Angela! I have already subscribed to your new RU-vid channel, can't wait to see what Season 4 has in store (but thank you for the sneak peek). ~Diana from Toronto
The Houston Quilt Festival opens after the Quilt Market for anyone that wants to attend. You can shop all the booths, take classes and tour the quilt displays.
Your own channel! So exciting! Do you know how many times I'm like wonder what Angela's been up to and I I can't find Midnight Quilt Show in my subscriptions? Oh yeah, duh it's Craftsy. But now I'll never lose you!
Thank you for sharing this experience! 💕💕💕 LOVED your conversation with Jenny! Have a wonderful week!! Looking forward to your videos! Congratulations!
So fun! I was thrilled this past July to extend our working vacation at Fort Leavenworth by a day just so that I would be able to visit both MSQC and Quilting Is My Therapy. Loved them both!
There are some unbelievable quilters/educators her on YT, and I am new to your channel pretty much, I don't get to see it much..gotta change that!...and you bring a youthfulness and fun aspect to quilting that makes it fun for my endeavors. I find, to be honest, that although I am older,, like alot of the quilters I meet, some are not always wanting to innovate on ideas, and that's alright...whatever one wants to do is what they should do with their great talents . I am so glad there are younger quilters to keep fresh concepts and ideas, and non traditional quilting around for us older...ahem...quilters who like to go around the outsides of the 'box'.
I will probably never be able to make it to a Quilt Festival in the States since I live in Japan but this video helped me feel how it was like to be there. Thanks! I'm excited about your new channel! Can't wait for the next Wednesday!
