Wale is sooo passionate, and he bleeds so much emotion and truth. He needs LOVE. This podcast just makes me want to grab a blanket, wrap it around me and Wale, and just hug him 🤗
This nigga's purpose in life really was to be a poet or something that requires articulation, because he prefaces and over elaborates everything he expounds on
Yudah El how do you figure A 16 is a poem take a break from listening to money hoes and clothes and listen to some real shit there’s deep rappers in the game
Wale is a hopeless romantic and seems to be a great conversationalist. I'm a fan of both his music and his deep thinking. Funny how he reminds me of myself. I hope he finds the perfect love that he yearns for. It does exist.
When you come expecting sloppy toppy and ass eating jokes and leave with a deeper understanding of the artist that is Wale. He completely shifted the dynamic of the show and held 2 hours of intellectually stimulating conversation!! Love it.
Precisely. Speaking your absolute mind then elaborating so people don’t misconstrue what you say yet not wanting to talk to much about the same thing. SHIT IS TERRIBLE #SociallyAwkwardCancer♋️ & yes I know my Lover is A Virgo (Wale😻🤪)
He' been having allot on his shoulder. He expresses it in his music and in his interviews. That's his outlet. P.s who hasent have allot on their shoulders tho?
Wale definitely has an anxiety issue. I think he would really benefit from a therapist and possibly some supplements (ashwaghanda)if he has an open mind about them.
So many dudes hide their hearts and don't expose how they be feelin about things but Wale really put it out there. Takes a strong man to do that in my eyes. Makes me admire him so much more! ❤
Lore'l is really likeable and funny. Great episode. Wale reminds me of myself so much I understand why he feels so misunderstood. I can tell he's a very anxious and depressed guy. Maybe even bipolar. I hope he finds the peace he's searching for. Struggling with your own mind daily is one of the hardest battles ever. I hope we all win the battle with mental illness in the long run.
Wale got to find a creative, someone outside the industry. dating Strippers is not the way to go if you have trust issues and don't like women who are smashing your label mates.
Love Wale but he is a overthinker, sensitive, a lil low self esteem good dude but he overthinks too much instead of letting things flow. He is a perfectionist. He has big trust issues because his heart was broken before. He don't see the true value in himself. If you want a woman to love you, you have to see and carry yourself in a confident way. #dcornothing
I meeean you have a point. But I can say, at least thus far, that he's acknowledged some of the things that you've mentioned. You can see it in the interview. Some of those aspects he has conquered and some he's still dealing with. All in all what counts is acknowledging the "problem(s)" and honestly and diligently striving to fix 'em. I can relate to what he's expressing because I've been there. It's beautiful once you start to realize these things and can honestly deal with them head on as opposed to being in denial about them. Good observations nonetheless. And yeah ➡ #DCorNothing
LaShawn Cooper bro just in a position where he’s realized his reality ain’t on the same level as others. The minute you stop overthinking is when everything you could possibly be thinking about will come back and smack you in the face. How do you win, where do you lose? Some are more cautious than others! Trust is a five letter word to some but it could be everything to someone else. Intention is everything and you would never know a persons intentions or why they even investing time into you unless you take a chance. But you have a choice before all of that to either control the situation or let it come to what you prolly never wanted it to be.
i don't see the low self esteem...the rest sure. Lol women love and value outright losers that call them every 5 min "what are you doing...what are you doing?!" So thats not it.
shorty in the middle wale real friend still. you can tell from the body language and the connection. he blocked the camera while she picked her boogie and then she told him about the eagles while he was on the verge of tears.
I cant help but empathize with him.. i feel lie when he speaks.. hes speaking what so many men go thru.. but have been conditioned not to talk about it ..His vulnerability is so beautiful... But so sad because he needs healing thru unconditional love..And its rare to get that.. He has t o get a close intimate relationship with God and that will clear up alot of what hes feeling..and it will push him to his purpose..GIGI look like she sat in this convo before...
I usually don't watch the videos after listening to the full podcast, but I was so intrigued on this one. Dude's soooo passionate. I saw him a few years back at SXSW and literally got soaked in the rain and muddy AF, but he still put on a crazy show. I spent my freshman year of college binge-listening to "Songs About Nothing," and have always found the light in dude. Forever rooting for him.
For all fathers including wale who have daughters. I have 2 ages 5 and 10 and one thing i will say is these kids dont understand the money. All they remember is the times they spent and those experiences so i know its hard balance but try to make time with your daughters a BIG DEAL...as men of color we are the pillars of the culture. You have to show your daughter what real love is so she knows what to look for as a adult she will know how a man is supposed to love her. Trust me
Good comment but i think he is grinding to get the money to help facilitate his career and be with his daughter at the same time because right now he could only do one at a time
Wale has a degree of self doubt but shorty to the right of him sees his greatness and knows what to say to restore is confidence. You need a girl like that. Balance.
We absolutely over analyze EVERYTHING but it comes from being factual . We want our reactions . Actions . Emotions. Etc to be based on facts ! We are so misunderstood bcuz we strive so hard to be understood
Phenomenal episode . Best one..... I usually hate his interviews , because honestly he comes off as kind of arrogant . I really enjoyed his conversation in this one . He was very down to earth , intelligent , honest , real and VULNERABLE . Which is definitely a characteristic that's needs to be encouraged more amongst black men . Men in general . Internalizing everything is destroying us....
Illusions VS Dreams I love Wale interviews, but this one was great he was super vulnerable. Most people are too scared to do this in public or simply at all.
Gigi seem real and loyal. She seem like a person who been through her share of ish and made it out other side. I can't say the same for the other two. Although they cool I can tell certain things about them. Yee comes off a bit two-faced to me. L'orel I can tell by what she says that she's terrible in relationships. She is insecure and has trust issues.
I have really grown an appreciation for Wale after this interview! I really wanna see this man win. I feel like people are really sleeping on his music too. Hopefully the culture will start to push more real artists like this. He is real asf! He’s not perfect, but he is honest, and he’s a real man that is trying to make shit right. I really hope that he finds a real woman to match his energy, and to be his peace in this cold world.
He is such a Virgo, i swear im all in my head all the time. It sound like he is uncomfortable showing vulnerabilty and I get that. I understood him in this interview.
I enjoyed this interview. My friends back in the day used to say that “Bad” described me perfectly! 😂 Now that I’ve changed my ways and have gotten over my commitment issues, I’m married to a wonderful D.C. man...the irony.
Loreal is cute and i like how she let others speak and gives her thoughts when asked. i mean that's how a conversation is listen and speak not talk over ppl she the real one.
She seems hella cool, but at the same time sometimes you also have to look at the friends of a person too and she seems to have a lot of thot friends 🤣
I love his openness and vulnerability. I love his growth and wanting to be a better man. I love how he articulates himself and knowing he needs to do better . I’m speaking it into existence that’ll we’ll have a great relationship one day.
I always go to the comments to confirm if other ppl saw what I saw lol, I just started watching these but I noticed Gigi seemed quiet or like some’n was on her mind heavy
Aaah lol. Them three thought they was gonna get to ask nasty questions for the whole 2 hours but it turned out to be a heartfelt and good interview/convo.
I wasn't raised in a very affectionate household either. & I didn't notice the effects of that until I started forming relationships with other people & watching how other people communicated. One of my biggest dreams is to be a mother one day. It's scary because I don't want to pass this trait on to my kids, if I ever have any. It's something you have to actively work on changing. I pray he figures it out.
no he was talkin abt Rihanna. remember he said she had wayy more than he had and on top of that he did a hat collab with Mel (rih's bff) "go best friend.. thats my bestfriend now"
I dont think he's underrated, i say he's UnderAPPRECIATED. He's got timeless hits, He's Not a Forget Artist in our generation, he just gets overlooked because how fast music is consumed nowadays. But for people like Me, You & everybody who watched this interview, we appreciate his music immensely.
damn you think so? why they both deny it so hard when it came up? cus im like allem stories bout them talkin and smokin late nights you know they grown he got a way with words and i could just see it happening but they denied it so i left it alone.
Sylvester Dargba because GG Married now and just watch GG face expressions the whole interview I never seen her this quiet she was reminiscing the whole time
I agree with Wale, If I'm in a relationship I never follow him on social media. I might look at his page from time to time but it's to much especially in the beginning of a relationship.
Yeah tbr I be wondering why some of my "situationships" w/ females never turned into relationships and I think it has to do with the way we started out. Like damn we fucked around days after we met and when we really got to know each other we didn't fuck with each other like that. I think you gotta be friends first and let it evolve into something more for it to work out.
It seems that the right women for him are probably Caribbean women who have found success in Europe etc. I fit the bill and so do a lot of my friends. I'm young, successful, ambitious yet homely and *I emphasize Caribbean because we tend to have more substance and treat our men like kings for the queens that we are. plus we're sexy, feisty and islandy* and I can travel at the DOAD -if i reallly like u ....etc etc. all that he said And whilst he was talking I kept trying to figure out if I was even attracted to hiim ( not that our worlds would ever meet) but because I realize that I fit what he wants I thought about it , I thought about it and I'm not (in anyway lol ) and TBH most of these men - not just celebs have grown accustomed to a certain type of beauty that I do not match up with. So he may NEVER find the right woman because not alot of women in his circle who have the physical traits he wants have the personality and character he so craves. some do but very few. he should just come get lost in west Europe. HA!
@@mendypeters8489 Mendy Peters Ha! Lol... Hmmm. Well, if what you say about Caribbean women (if you're speaking unrestrictedly) is true then what's La La Anthony's problem? 👀 How did my former situationships with Carribean women go left? 👀 I guess you're gonna say, "Maybe you were the problem" or "Maybe they weren't the "right" Caribbean women." Or are you? 😂 Don't get me wrong, I'm not oblivious to certain distinctive traits that many Caribbean women possess. However, just be careful when speaking in absolutes. At any rate, I feel what you're saying to a degree so that's that. In addition, I can relate to Wale as it relates to many of the things that he expounded on in the interview. It's as if I'm watching myself in this interview to a degree. We're both Virgos at that... About the personality matching the body type then I most definitely can relate. It's like a battle sometimes. It's always like a fkn mix match 😂 A woman doesn't have to have the best body in the world as I'm attracted to different body types. But when that body can compliment the brain then 🎯🎯 What's DOAD though? I didn't wanna google it.
Ben Osama yeah she been gone. It’s just not classy for a woman show to state or insinuate that fact. But it’s like wayno coming on everyday struggle when Star was there. L’Oréal was the replacement... plus GG took a shot at her when she poured the drink for wale, cuz in the rick Ross episode Stephenie was not trying to pour his drink
Praying for you Wale. Please stay strong and keep working towards healing. Heal so you can help others to heal. You will find happiness, comfort, and love...just trust the process of what the universe is taking you through.
