Notice she never touches the ground, she is the ghost and he can't let go. Amy Lee has a hauntingly powerful voice that sucks you into her emotions and her world. Love this so much!!
I pick up after listening several times that *_she_* is dead but doesn't know it. She thinks he is. She is locked in a state of mourning his loss whilst he mourns hers. The clues: the strange (and beautiful) clothes she wears, the flowers in her hair, the bandages on her wrists (!), the fact she never touches the ground....
In the video Amy portrays the person that has passed away, ie her feet don’t touch the ground , bandaged wrists etc and she is the angel of someone that has passed. The song is actually about her little sister that passed away at 3yrs old when Amy was 6, and the the song is about the mental health issues she had to deal with
The comment under this one by Rogerc is nonsense. She's openly talked about it. It's a song about addiction. How it helped her, scared off the tears. And even though she's clean and sober it still has that grip...
Wanna check out someone that will blow your mind? Check out Angelina Jordan. She has over 140 cover songs not including her own. Once you experience her music you won't be able to stop! Take your pick! She is signed with Republic Records and she is fixing to turn 16 yrs old.
I know how you feel. Let's hear some metal band, well a somewhat softer metal band, right? So you expect aggressive vocals to go with the instrumentation. What you get is a beautiful, delicate, incredibly steady voice weaving through the metal chords.
For the "record": "The lyrics of the song refer to a spirit that haunts the memory of a grieving loved one. Similar to several other songs written by [Ben] Moody, the lyrics of the song are based on a short story he had previously written.[According to Lee, it was "Ben [Moody]'s song." Moody said that the song talks about "a spirit staying with you after its death and haunting you until you actually wish that the spirit were gone because it won't leave you alone." He also stated in the booklet of Fallen that he dedicated the song to his grandfather, Bill Holcomb. In "My Immortal", Lee expresses her feelings through the line, "Though you're still with me / I've been alone all along.A writer for IGN said that "'My Immortal' is a song of pain and despair caused by the loss of a family member or very close friend and how it drove her [Lee] to the edge of insanity." Great reaction bro! Evanescence has so many great songs! I would definitely check out Lithium, Sweet Sacrifice, My Heart is Broken, Better Without You, etc... honestly their whole catalog is great! They just released a new album The Bitter Truth earlier this year. Keep up the great reactions! 👍
Amy Lee’s voice has few equals. One of them is Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. You should react to Break In by Halestorm ft Amy Lee, it’s a vocal master class from both of them.
Lizzy Hale comes no where close to Amy. In the song they do together, Amy can't even actually open up because she would leave poor Lizzie sooooo far behind.
I think she’s the one who’s died and she can’t get back to him , that’s why her feet can’t touch the ground she’s always on something above the ground, he looks like he has his funeral clothes on and looks to the sky for her
Nice reaction. This is my favorite band 🥺 Can you react to more Evanescence/Amy Lee? I highly recommend: * Evanescence - Lithium. * Evanescence - Lacrymosa Synthesis live DVD version. * Evanescence - Secret Door Synthesis live DVD version.
It's Abt death. But if you notice in video she is always laying down like on a CAR maybe falling jumping? She's almost floating and always outside...then in a tree etc. her clothes are all white.. And he is moving around inside and out but in funeral attire it seems. In beg. I noticed he was moving his fingers like playing air-piano. So then it shows him playing...I think he wrote this song for her. She's dead but can't move on...I've been watching reactions just to see if ppl get it and I would say only 30% say vid is abt death in meaning and only 10% how she is the one who's dead.
A couple of facts about this song and video first of all the song featured in Daredevil Ben Affleck movie and the song is about a lover who died and she can't move on The video in the opening scene when Amy Lee walks round the fountain those children to can see were not part of the video originally they are not actors they actually live there and were playing I'm background rather than reshoot the scene they decided to leave the video untouched has it made the scene more authentic Evanescence are one of my favourite groups of all time unfortunately there was a lot of division in the group and now Amy Lee is the only original member left in the group They have some songs especially from the album Fallen you should checkout # Be Kind ❤️ # Peace To All ❤️
This is my all time favorite and thank you for featuring this on your channel. By the way I've just subscribed to your channel. Please react to her song Bring Me To Life. I'm pretty sure you'll gonna love it too. Thanks and God Bless ✌️
As a singer, Amy Lee is underrated. She emotes and belts! 😃 Great 👍 Covers. 1 Julie Anne San Jose. From The Philippines 🇵🇭. She sounds and plays piano 🎹 like Amy Lee! 🤯 2 Morissette Amon. Friend of Julie. 🇵🇭The Morissette version is only her with a piano 🎹 mode on her synthesizer. Suggested Evanescence video 📹: Bring Me to Life. 👶
You'll see from all the Amy Lee song recommendations below, that she has millions of fans around the world (like me) who love her and her music and everyone has their own suggestions which songs to listen to from her. My own favourite is the 'Sessions' version of her amazing song 'Lost In Paradise'. Just Amy and her piano, and her amazing voice. I hope you give that one a try (as well as all the other great songs of hers of course). LOL
This song is almost 20 years old now and came out when I was in my early 20's. It's a song that defiantly hits harder today. Back then, to me it was just a great song by an awesome singer, now it's a very powerful emotional song. I can now relate to the lyrics, but not just towards a specific loss or relationship with someone, but towards my memories, my moments, and my mind. The older we get, the more the memories hurt, not just the sad and/or bad ones, like losing a loved ones, as I have lost both my parents over the last twelve years, but the good ones as well, like having a wonderful childhood, first getting marriage, your children's births and them being young, these memories of life, moments of time, will never be as great as it once was, as certain moments that will never be experienced again like they were when we lived them. My memories, both happy and sad, are slowly killing me as I can't let go and depend on them so much.
This is one of my all time favorite songs and definitely my favorite song of the group. Amy Lee has such an amazing voice. This song always makes me emotional because it's such a sad song about dealing with the loss of a loved one. Great reaction video. I just subscribed to your channel.
