Actually she's 12 now. She celebrated it in July. I follow her YT channel. Angelica killed it! I don't know what the hell Mel is talking about because she DID put her own twist to it. None of the high notes or long notes are even in the original song!!! Screw you Mel! I could have kissed Howie. You go little muffin!
@@kateluxor2986 Nope 11... 2017 first performed on AGT at age 9 and turned 10 over the summer. Turned 11 during summer 2018. She'll be 12 over summer this year but she's currently 11 and a half ;)
What's CRAZY is after Howie gave Angelica the Golden buzzer then Mel B stood up and was clapping with the rest of the crowd!!! I don't know about any one else but I actually think that was sending mixed messages from Mel B. I just LOVE Angelica because she doesn't act eragant much like her predecessor did when the winner for 2018 was announced. When the 2018 winner Darcy Lynn was announced one of the Judges asked Darcy if they were going to celebrate after the show she said yes. The judge then asked Darcy if she was going to invite Angelica to celebrate with her. Darcy Lynn answered NO in a very MEAN TONE!!! It was at that moment that I was actually SORRY that they had picked the wrong young lady to be the winner of 2018 AGT. At that moment I also saw a young lady (Angelica) be a SUPER SPORT even though she didn't get first place. From that moment on Angelica Hale was my winner!!! I remember when Angelica was on AGT for the very first time and she told the Judges that she wanted to be a SUPER STAR. Well she may have not took first place in AGT BUT if you look at all of the people all over the world that love Angelica then you will KNOW that at 9yo. She set the bar high and achieved the goal that she set for herself! Angelica Hale is a SUPER STAR!!! I believe that the following is what has helped her get to the point she's at now. Angelica is just a BEAUTIFUL person she has alot of love and she's it with the world, she set's the stage and doesn't let the stage set her (Doesn't let it go to her head).When Angelica sing's you can hear her humble spirit flowing out of her body and projecting into the soul's of other's. The ability to do this is her true gift. Final thought.... has anyone noticed since Darcy Lynn won 2018 you don't really hear alot about her anymore. However if you open up your ears..... Angelica is always a topic!!!! I do hope she wins because I think that she DESERVES TO WIN!!!
I agree with you 100%, Mel B did the same thing to her in the semi finals of season 12, I think to protect her own golden buzzer, Darcy then, Susan Boyle this time, not harshly but enough to put doubt in peoples minds, Angelica did put her own twist on it, very few could have pulled off that performance with that song, Angelica seemed to do it with ease, everyone was on their feet right from the beginning.
I saw a video with her vocal coach. She taught her to do that stance because of the theory that you "pull power from the ground" when you sing. It's cool that she's so disciplined that she sticks to those fundamentals no matter what's going on around her. Freaking 11.....just insane.
Angelica totally owned this song. Just compare to the original - better vocals, better arrangement, better feel to the music. Mel B was trying to coach her into taking things to a higher level because the competition is so tough but came off as being critical. Angelica not holding back anything - just saving her best performance for when it really counts - the finals. She's such a pro!

Angelica deserved to receive the Golden Buzzer! I am GREATLY DISAPPOINTED and somewhat perplexed by Mel B's comments. I feel that undue criticism should be off limits to children because we don't want to crush their hopes, dreams, and confidence. This is not the first time that Mel B has voiced what I felt was undue criticism of Angelica Hale's performance. I feel her comments were unjustified. Angelica's performance was flawless and spot on. Her rendition was superior to any adult I have heard sing Fight song. Yet, Mel B criticized her and asked her to do what she hasn't demanded from adults who come on the show...which is to make a song their own and take a "bigger risk.". Every time that Mel B was harsh in her critique of Angelica, I could tell that Simon didn't like it. AGT edited Mel B's comments from Angelica's "Without You" official AGT video of the performance. And, I was happy that they did. Mel B said that she wanted Angelica to give "Fight Song" her own twist. Angelica did give the song her own twist!!!! She added so many elements to the song that is not in the original. Her vocal control was outstanding!!! Once Mel B has chosen her golden buzzer act, she tends to knock the contest(s) that she feels has the potential to successfully compete against her choice. I applaud Howie for pressing the golden buzzer. Angelica deserved it. I, for one, felt she should have won AGT. Don't get me wrong. Darci Lynne deserved to win. I was rooting for Angelica along with many others. Win or not, for me....Angelica is a WINNER because of the tremendous human being that she is. God's hand is on her life. Angelica is bound for continued success. She is so special...a Rare Jewel of a human being who is humble, kind, and giving. Thanks again. I really appreciate you. Each week, a pre-select ed group of AGT audience members get to vote 1 act through. I was very confused by Mel B's comment because she clearly did her vocals differently than in the original recording. If Mel B had said she didn't care for the way she chose to sing it I might not agree with Mel B, but I'd consider that a valid opinion/criticism. But to say Angelica didn't put her own stamp on it is not true. 🤷♀
Mel b just doesn't get what's going on around her sometimes. Heidi had to exsplain to her things all the time cause she doesn't get it. I thinks she's on heavy meds after her divorce.
@@dave69mj I do not see what her divorce has to do with her comment. Allusion rather cheap! Mel is the only one who has a performance experience on stage and can feel what a singer feels. Except it seems that at the table of judges, it is necessary to show social rectitude and say only beautiful things. I see in this video that Mel was not quite wrong: Angelica's performance did not have the stature of AGT's QF and Final. Except that she could have spoken with more nuances and delicacy. Angelica was shaken by her comment. She is only 11 years old. There are more pedagogical ways of saying thing. Simon has shot her his tongue... Not very mature for a man of his stature...

SLAY MY QUEEN!!! I don’t know how Mel could say something like that!! I don’t think it’s right to really put SO MUCH PRESSURE on kids!!! I’ve also heard that Mel tries to take out the other contestants so that her golden buzzers can win to which I think is absolutely awful!! (Don’t know if it’s true or not tho) but how could anyone do that to a kid especially her knowing her story and how polite, sweet, and caring she is I just don’t get it!! I enjoyed your reaction. Angelica was only on life support for twelve days, in the hospital 80 days and on dialysis for a year and a half. Every time I hear her sing I thank God for his healing grace and modern medicine. Angelica is a bright light in a sometimes dark world. Not many people find their purpose at only six years old. Angelica has used her second chance at life and her God given talent to help raise millions of dollars for the Children's Miracle Network and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. After coming in second on AGT, Angelica was appointed the first Children's Ambassador for the National Kidney Foundation as well as an Ambassador for the Sepsis Alliance. She has traveled to several countries and across the country to bring awareness to the need for organ donation. I am in awe of this child's giving spirit as much as her extraordinary voice.

I love how fast it hit her she went from crying to extremely happy and that smile on her face really tells it all nothing can replace how happy she was and it hit her so fast she wasn't sure to be sad or happy congratulations Angelica you deserved it.
I've enjoy your Angelica reactions. I've said before, Angelica's AGT 2017 performances she grew so much. Compare closely, each song she sings; always subtle nuances we didn't hear before. We expectantly wait for what's coming next. The artist in her is constantly stirring her recipe; testing and tasting and perfecting. Angelica is always raising her own bar. We're spoiled expecting this performance to "blow away" the last one. She is an 11 yr old athlete in training, performing many different venues and situations, and every song requires its own approach. This is just another step on her journey AGT 2017 she said, "They haven't seen anything yet!" We're just getting a glimpse.

Mel B obviously did not listen to Angelica or how else could she make such a "stupid" comment. Angelica has her own style (with her high vocals) and OBVIOUSLY put that spin on that song. In fact, I have never heard ANYONE else sing that song the way Angelica did. I was personally very upset with Mel B's comment. I was so glad when Howie "trumped" her and gave Angelica the golden buzzer. Well deserved!!! Thanks for your reaction.
Angelina truly deserves the Golden buzzer with the song. It would of been great too if Darci would made it to the finals. Her and Oscar had a great performance. It was rumored that she lost because she had already won a competition on AGT. It was great to listen to your input again on AGT champions.

Also a second-place finisher each week goes through to the finals and then they are picking some wild cards I think one Wild Card each week to be in the finals. Angelica is always great. Love your reaction. She did put her flare into it, but I think Mel B thinks she’s capable of wowing us more and hinted, to win the whole thing, take chances and bring out all that she has to offer.
Oh my ! It is so good to see U !!! Missed U. I am a subscriber to Angelica’s site and have not missed any of her performances. She has matured so much in her singing career since leaving AGT 2017. Really enjoyed your reaction, I am full of smiles right now after watching your reaction. Angelica is beautiful. This performance was absolutely wonderful. Angelica always chooses song to perform which are so related to her. This fight song performance has so many of Angelica’s musical twists , especially her “Angelica high notes” . I just do not know what Mel B was watching / listening to during Angelica’s performance .You can see that Mel B’s comments took the joy from Angelica’s face as she was listening to Mel B speak. I am so glad Howie spoke words of encouragement and gave her the Golden Buzzer. the joy came back to her as she stood on the staged and thanked the audience and Howie. Angelica made history by being the first contestant to receive two Golden Buzzers on AGT programs. Simon also said to Mel B what are U talking about Angelica did put twists into the song. In fact Angelica changed the pace of the song and put strong emphasis in area where this made it her fight song,there were also beautiful sweet soft notes that Angelica sang , especially at the end. Angelica’s performance was absolutely wonderful and I am so glad she received her second GB. Can hardly wait for Angelica’s performance on the live show in February . SOOOO GOOD 2 see U . Good to see you reacting to Angelica again! I always loved your reactions to her on AGT 2017 when she was a three foot high munchkin! LOL! Mel B has been critical of Angelica ever since AGT 2017! I remember Angelica saying "Mel B,you're my favorite judge". I think Mel B thought Angelica was trying to get Mel B to play favorites! When it comes to Simon,he asks Angelica who her favorite judge is? At the time I thought this harmless stuff! Angelica should not tried to curry favor or give the impression she was trying to! But Angelica was only 9 yrs. old,lucky to be alive,and will have to take anti-rejection medication her entire life. She will suffer from decreased immunity due to having sepsis! Mel B needs to get the burr out of her butt about this and critique Angelica fairly!!

Angelica wasn't trying to curry favors or anything like that, she said Mel B was her favorite because of all the judges she's the only singer and that's what she identifies with.

There are 2 from each show, 1 golden buzzer and 1 picked from the 50 states. There are 50 contestants, with 10 in each show, so I think Terry will also get a golden buzzer. There is also going to be a wild card, which was announced at the end of the 1st show. So 1 of the other 2 from the top 3 from the end of each show will also have a chance of going to the finals.
I was upset at first about Mel B’s comments but now that I’ve rewatched it, I think it was just constructive criticism and she didn’t really say anything bad. It was kind of a compliment since she was saying that Angelica can take a bigger risk and the fact that her performance was already incredible and Mel B thinks that she can do better must mean a lot
Who can sit and listen to Mel B and judge anything about singing when Scary Spice was always autotuned. Angelica would out duel her in a singing contest any day. I think the series will be 7 episodes. One golden buzzer the 1st 4 weeks, each judge gets the golden buzzer 1 week and then they have 50 judges throughout America, 1 in each state who votes. The highest vote total also goes though, so after 4 weeks there should be 8 left standing.

AGT the champions mechanics! The AGT the champions is composed of best 50 acts all over the world who perform on their country. Like america got talent, britain got talent, spain got talent and south africa got talent. This acts are the winners on their respective country they represent. So the show is divided in to 5 episodes, each episode will have 10 act to perform only 2 acts will advance to the finals per episode. 1 golden buzzer by the judge and 1 voted by the super fans in AGT. This are the acts that advances so far Week 1 Susan boyle (britain got talent runner up) Preacher lawson (2017 AGT finalist) Week 2 Deadly games (AGT finalist) Cristina ramos (spain got talent winner) Week 3 Angelica hale(AGT runner up 2017) Paul potts (Britain got talent winner) So all of the acts are winner on their own rights. This are the best of the best of each country. Darci lyn and courtney hadwin also perform on week 2 but unable to advance on the finals.
Where are these people coming up with wild card picks? Not mentioned any time when voters & voting procedures explained on the Championship show. Must be people wanted the performers that have been eliminated to come back. Rumors & more rumors, heard this when Jeffery Li was eliminated .
I dont know if there will be wildcard picks. As far i only know 10 acts will perform in the finals from the 50 acts who perform. Never in AGT history they have a wildcard act who was eliminated and went straight to the finale as i know off. It will be unfair to those other acts who didnt make it if they selected a wildcard. That is for my own opinion only. I think there will be no wild card because as i watch this show and follow AGT they never mention about any wild card at all.

I can still fondly remember your reaction to "little muffin" when she first burst into all our lives on AGT 2 years ago & now, with the new arrival in her family (baby sister, Abigail) she's only getting better & better. Amazing stage presence. Right now people are focusing on her runs and belting, but she showed some real artistry in the soft parts. Listen to her sing the word "explosion" as one example. I predict MelB will be redeemed by the last episode, when they bring back ... someone.
I PARTIALLY disagree with Mel. Anyone who has listened to that song more than just one time would know that Angelica DID put her own spin on it. BUT, I do agree that Angelica did not give this her One Hundred Percent effort. That is IMPORTANT. She did that for a reason; she's doing the build-up, because a same-old-same-old performance will not win this show. If she gives it her all every time, there would be this even keel and people will get bored and won't vote for her at the crucial time. So she will build up after this, and build up again after the next one, improving as she goes. Becoming better, making bigger and bigger plays will get her the win. I TOTALLY believe she could win, I think she was playing this very smart. We KNOW she can do better vocally, that's the part I agree with Mel about.

There will be 10 Finalist. Two performers are selected from each initial round(approx 5 rounds); There are superfans that represent all 52 states that vote on a winner or winners from each round. however, some performers are given the Golden Buzzer which automatically qualifies them for the finals, while the other winner has to be selected by the "superfans". If there are no golden buzzer winner(s)from particular round then its left up to the Superfans to vote on both winners. I hope that helps!
I've also heard there may be wildcard selections from the performers that didn't get selected, so there may be a couple more than 10. I haven't seen anything official though.
This season, there are 9 acts per episodes, 1 golden buzzer by judge + 1 public vote are going straight to the final. To answer your question - AGT Champions has 5 prelim shows with 50 acts featuring finalists and champions from around the world. 5 Golden Buzzers and 5 acts voted on by the audience will give us 10 acts advancing to the Finals. The competition has been insane. Paul Potts (Winner BGT Season 1) came in first on Angelica's show. Susan Boyle got a Golden Buzzer and Darcy Lynn was eliminated. To answer your second question - I didn't fully agree with Mel B (I think Angelica added many of her trademark changes including high notes, runs, a growl, etc) but if you listen carefully to what Mel said she wasn't saying Angelica gave a poor performance just that she thinks she can pull off even bigger risks and more dynamic vocals because she is *so* talented and there I think I do agree simply because Lil Muffin is amazing!!! (and I can't wait to see what she sings in the Finals because I think she'll take Mel B's comments to heart and give her best performance to date
Angelica Hale doesn’t sing a song unless it has meaning to her so putting her own spin on it is a very easy thing for her to do. Want to add that win or lose Angelica will always be a champion to me. I feel that this is her calling and she’s doing exactly what she lives most, singing.
