I'm also Mexican and I never know how to explain this to my friends who are not from here and make it look normal, as I keep explaining it sounds weirder everytime but it's the most normal thing for us Mexicans lol

The point is you can resist the push, and it's actually supposed to be done when you least expect it, the whole tradition also involves trying to get people around to protect you from it and the other person trying to find the perfect timing for doing it, also the piece that you bite it's your piece, only your close family wouldn't have a problem with it but they normally won't give it away. And it's also smart to get more than one cake lol.

Yup, it is a tradition but optional, in my case, I do prefer to avoid it because some people can push your head in a very aggressive way and the result can be upsetting with a huge disaster...

Es que aveces no sabemos si lo mismo lo hacen en otros países, no decimos que es Mexicana o "de México" la tradición, solo que la hacemos allí. Por eso preferimos decir que lo hacemos en México. Hay unas cosas que hacemos que pueden molestar a personas de otros países de latinoamerica o del mundo y pues así es esto.
