Jesse, great observation how Angelina gave you a small club vibe. I got that vibe at her shows in Vegas. Angelina has become much better interacting with the audience. Many angels, including myself, who were sitting close to the stage, believed they made eye to eye contact with Angelina. During her late show, Angelina said she recognized many faces from the first show, which didn't include me because for the late show, we were sitting in the 12th row. Younger sister, Juliette was sitting behind me, along with Uncle Mike, his wife and two daughters. The whole experience in Vegas felt like a family gathering.
So full of Jazz, Angelina’s happy and relaxed personality comes across, and I agree with you Jesse this performance has an intimate vibe. Her vibrato dances playfully and the quartet plays so smoothly with just the right emphasis so as to enhance her singing style without overpowering her. Hats off to the bass player and drummer.

My first post went on then was removed. Must not of liked the links I guess. Love your take on Angelina. If you want to contrast her younger vs concert versions here are 2 phenomenal performances: Stay and When We Were Young. I recommend Knut Hegland's recording for stay (and others as well), and James Thiel's site for the Adele song. James and Big Angie are combining multiple vid's and these are/will be the best recordings I think. It would be interesting to review the old ones first-maybe on your video. If you could have gone you are going to have remorse big time after watching these-nice close ups too. All the best, Jeff
Thanks Jesse for the wonderful reaction and always great to see you with Angelina. There are a ton of "Cell" phone videos of Las Vegas show, very few good ones, though Chris Walker and James Theil are uploading some worth watching. Whatever you choose to do, hope the recommendations are the quality ones...otherwise mostly videos of AJ with poor quality, the nature of cell recordings. Do appreciate all the sharing from fans though...just waiting on some professional recordings to show up....will wait.
Angelina always has fun on stage: you see her here in her natural habitat. Rumor has it she was born on stage and when swatted, she started singing. I'm rather confident this is a rumor because I've been spreading it myself 😂

Remember when you were talking about Angelina's distinct vowel & the sound of the word YOU ? A musical reviewer, Paolo Bassotto explains how amazing her sound is, but he to is baffled. Song he talked of was I'm Still Holding Out For You.
