This is a charity concert for an organization called Plan Fadder that sponsers kids from a young age and continues supporting them throughout their childhood emphasizing education. . Each doner donates to a single kid through these years, about 30 dollars a month. Every year the doner gets a photo and letter from the child. I sponsered agirl in Bangladesh. It was a nice experience to watch her grow and develop. Angelina is the best. The "Queen of Jazz".

Angelina was busy during the Christmas holiday season in 2014 when she was 8 years old. She sang Fly Me to the Moon on German TV, and sang I'll Be There in Sweden and this performance, with each venue raising money for charity. Angelina also sang at the Children's Peace Prize Celebration (part of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony) around this time. I like to believe most of the emotion Angelina conveys comes from her desire to help the poor children of the world. Angelina is on a mission to make life better for others, providing a great source for the emotion which pours out of her while singing.

She was actually 8 in this performance, it was just a few months after winning the NGT competition. She was singing around a bit of a sore throat, the organisers gave her the opportunity to pull out of her appearance but she insisted on going through with it because it was a charity event. What a legend! How many big name stars would do that, knowing they wouldn't sound their best? I think her little face at the end says it all, she wasn't 100% happy with her effort! I still think it sounded brilliant, she some how made it work to her advantage!

Hello Buddy! This recording is from a televised charity event, a yearly occurence here in Norway, and probably many other places, too. Anyhoot, Angelina was sick as a dog here, but as the trooper that she is and already was at this age, she refused to back down. At this age Angelina had quite a few battles with cold, because she had been attending a lot of outdoor venues, also during winter time, and of course she performed barefoot LOL So I guess that figures. But still she pulled off a performance like this. That's Angelina for you, right there. And allthough I was already aware of your appreciation for her, it's totally awesome to hear that you put her right up there with the young Michael Jackson. You and Mr. Quincy Jones obviously see it the same way, as do most of her die hard fans :-) Her time of absolute reign WILL come! I loved this reaction. Take care and stay safe my friend. The young lady with the 1000 beautiful voices. Every time she brings tears in my eyes cause it is so beautiful. Angelina Jordan Astar, this young norwegian lady is imo the best singer on the planet! I am 69 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life.

NO competition. This is one of her numerous CHARITY concerts for which she has raised umpteen thousands of dollars.

She was at least 8 yrs. old but she was sick with a cold. She had her permanent two front teeth. This video was put up on October 10, 2015. That would make her 9 yrs. and 10 months old. That still doesn't diminish what that young girl was doing. I too wondered what was wrong with Angelina because her voice seemed strained. I found out that she was ill with a cold or sinuses. Angelina will never make excuses nor fail to perform unless she is on her death bed. She is a trooper.

Angelina was told by her doctor not to sing. If you watch her singing in the freezing cold at the Nobel Prize concert you can see she had 2 heaters blowing onto her bare feet. Since this was a Children’s Charity Event (the phone numbers on the screen are for call in donations), in spite of her cold and stuffy nose, she came to perform. A true humanitarian and trooper, even at this tender age.

I think this was after NGT, about eight years old. This was held in Norway. They have spectacular musicians there. You can hear the difference in her performances throughout her eighth year, then again during her ninth year, etc. Her talent just keeps evolving. My Funny Valentine at 16 is masterful! Actually, I think Quincy said that Angelina reminded him of Michael. Her performance at his 85th birthday celebration was stellar! Thank you for being such a loyal Angelina Angel!

This was a charity event, as i am sure you know she raised millions for charities. She is i believe 8 here. Believe this was after Norways got talent, where she appeared on 4 times, including winning the Final. The youngest “performance” i am aware of us when she was 6, one of several recordings at a performing arts studio elementary school in Norway. I who have nothing the most famous of these. There are several from that studio i believe. There are a couple of school performances not as good around the same time. Sometimes its the quality of the sound recording. Long story short her “public” personna performances really began at age 7 on NGT.

She's still got her flu hear she also did I'll be there at the same time age 8.

There is no one with the versatility in performing different genre singing than this girl. Michael wanted to be like his idol Sammy Davis Jr., known as the most complete entertainer in the world, but neither was able to match the complexity in all the various aspects of vocalizing that this girl can do. In singing, if you want to penetrate the listener deeper than anyone, you better be a true jazz singer, for if you're not, you are not going to have any chance of accomplishing that. You have to think of Angelina as a 'One Off', or hybrid if you prefer, but just so unique in totality when it comes to all the different aspects of vocal musicality. The fact that her 'vocal chameleon' ability allows her to integrate emulations of Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, as well as Adele, on occasion, displays this intricate form of complexity no one else has ever been able to master, and you can go down the list of singers from the beginning of time and not find someone who can match up to her. People, if they haven't as yet realized it, will have etched in their memory the fact that music has been redefined by her in ways no one has ever done.

The "Bli plan-fadder Ring 02123" literally means "Become plan-patreon ring 02123". Plan International is a global aid organization that works for children's rights. So this is one of many charity concerts she did. It fits right in with her goal to get shoes to all the children of the world :)

ThatSinger, it seemed to me that this time, for the first time in your reactions, you got caught up in the vibrato and what you thought her age was, and lost the big picture -- the note-by-note magnificence of this song. I believe this was a charity event telethon, the sign says ring and a number after. Not sure tho. She was 8 here this and another charity event she sang Michael Jackson's "Ill Be There". Both of these performances touch my heart so much. It's crazy how good this performance is esp. after listening to a mash up of Angelina here with Ella and Beyonce.

And the text in the left buttom corner says: "Bli Plan-fadder" is loosely translated to Sponsor a kid in some poor country. So this was one of the many charity-events where she performed.

You look closely you can pretty much tell what age she is by the way her front teeth look early on at 8 years old they are still pretty crooked but between 8 and 9 years old they straightened up #fun fact

A great reaction Nick, I think she was 8 here. I love Angelina's freedom of interpretation, her stylizations, her Vibrato and the way she was sliding up to and across the notes. Of the several covers of Etta James songs each one she has made her own. She also has raised lots of money for children starting at an early age.
