Her multi- Grammy winning producers, Stargate Productions, have said that, of the many artists they've worked with (35-40), they only know 3 that can record a song, top to bottom, in 1 take. They are Beyoncé, Sam Smith & Angelina Jordon! You would be amazed at the names of the artists that didn't make that elite list of 3. That says it all.

Angelina has actually a link to the Jacsons family, One of the judge who discoverd AJ in Norway got tallent, Batthi. He had he`s childhood at Neverland with MJ and he`s family, and he`s mum was Prince and Paris Jacsons Nanny. And in one intervju he said he was so proud when he was showing MJ mum a Video of Angelina and they absolute loved her.

Nice reaction! It's funny reading some of the few negative comments on your page and others because they think they she is trying too hard or is not good enough to sing this in a jazz style. This girl of only 15 years old has been listening to jazz music since she was very little. You can tell she has been influenced by many jazz greats, but she is still finding her own style. Many of us enjoy her watching her challenge herself with covering big songs like this. If you don't like it, fine, teach each his own. For me, after listening to this for a few times, I appreciate that she had the balls to try to change this very iconic song up. I thought she did a fine job. ...Keep up the good work!

I might add, AJ knows the Jackson family, her friend Omer Bhatti, was a protege of Michael. You could bet on it, that she asked about it, maybe even showed them first. Someone wrote that Mama Jackson is a AJ fan. I am not sure about that. But after Aj´s "Heal the world" version on national Live-TV with introduction by Norways minister of foreign affairs; there is no doubt in my mind, that the Jackson family is friends with AJ.
Harri, you're spot on with your reaction. It's interesting to read comments across different reaction channels. I think it's brilliant, but something some aren't keeping in mind: this cover/video is from her personal "cover" channel and not her "official" channel. Based on those key points, those who like it, wish maybe it had some drums, or those who don't like it need to take that into consideration. If she weren't Angelina, it would just be another cover channel artist's song. In my opinion, it's an opportunity for an artist to try out different things as they grow musically, get real-time feedback from the public, and use it as a white-board of sorts for creativity with the opportunity to change it if a revision is produced and released. It's great that her record label, Republic Records, is allowing her to do this unofficially. If she were a seasoned oil painter and wanted to try her hand at watercolor, she'd create a few pieces, display them, and depending on feedback of her watercolors continue to fine tune it or cease and focus on her talent for oils. Just my perspective 😊

All of this exceptional talent and brilliance coming from a uniquely gifted fifteen year old young woman whom happens to already be an elite master level talent. Her instincts and her hyper sensitivity to interpret the emotion the lyrics call for is unmatched. We are witnessing a bona fide musical genius at work.

Like you said, I think Angelina has the guts to try anything (ref her cover of "I Have Nothing" at age 12 ), and she obviously has the musical integrity and vocal skills to get away with it. She's still 15, her voice is still developing (scary enough), and she's still trying out different things. Of late I have seen her stuff on TikTok, where she is definitely experimenting, absolutely nothing wrong with that. If I like it all is of less importance, but I have seen some critical voices, almost for the first time. That is how it has to be when you change things up, but it's an integral part of developing as an artist, and hence is very important. I like this rendition, but it's not on my top 5 list. I'm so excited for her upcoming album, I almost can't wait. Much love and respect from Norway :-)
Not sure about all the color changes, but AJ's vocal fry is incredible, and (intermixed with her breathiness) is becoming her signature style. Only AJ can sustain fry and pitch all the way through her runs. This arrangement of "Billie Jean" is brilliant. This is the first performance where I can hear a strong Diana Krall influence. Maybe she can even arrange a jazz version of "Thriller."
I think Angelina did this whole thing , on tiktok it shows her covering 7th Heaven walking through these tools, also on Tik-Tok it had a question could did you recognize a song she was playing on the piano and I believe it was this song if I'm right she arranged this entire thing .I'm always impressed with her , check it out
AJ is a true artist who use her voice as a painter his brush to create a universe of sensations. She is both a revolutionary and a visionary. I believe that if MJ would listen to this version he would love it. And I believe he would call AJ to do a duo.

I love, Love, LOVE how the accompanist (Rob Christie? Angelina? Someone else?) played the piano line throughout in the style of Van Morrison’s “Moondance”. It fits perfectly with Angelina’s jazzy treatment of “Billie Jean”!

I imagine Angelina's first big concert being accompanied by Egil fir a couple songs. Then she introduces Ivan Mendez to play the guitar as she sings California Dreaming and a million years ago. After that she sings " I put a Spell on you" with the original musicians she sang it at 9 yrs old. And so on...that would be s phenomenal concert. What you guys think ?
Angelina changed the song completely and yet, you cannot confuse this with anything but the Original "Billie Jean", the melody is the same, the intensity is there, the lyrics are there and yet it is totally different than the original!

Quite independent of any opinions regarding music or the appropriateness of certain songs, the interactions I and others have had with another commenter were ill advised. Looking back over all of these interactions, it is clear to me that we were dealing with a clinical narcissist. If you care to look up the characteristic behaviors of a narcissist, you can decide for yourself. Again I’m sorry to have participated in a type of discussion that you probably would rather not have on your channel.
Your feeling is correct: this is a performance carried out in one go. So in the various scenes, it's lipsing. This assembly is only a distraction which does not add anything to the performance. I prefer the Norwegian options: focus on the artist and the musicians. That said, second part of the video, we perceive a distortion between the vocal and the music. Hardly fits! In English, we talk about timing. In French, my language, more of synchronism. The problem is not Angie: tempo, rhythm, cadence... Even the stony voice ... She is true to her style. So the pianist who hardly follows the artist or inappropriate composition? It takes a musical composer to analyse. Even vocal coaches don't perceive the problem.
Kevin, I went back and deleted all of my responses Cosmo K as soon as it finally dawned on me that I was trying to engage in a rational conversation with a true narcissist. I’m not name calling here. I came to this conclusion when I reviewed his responses to everyone in these comments and was able to check almost every box on the list of characteristics of clinical narcissism. It’s not enough for one to make a definitive positive diagnosis, but sufficient evidence for me to disengage and steer clear. She is very talented and creative I agree. This cover is quite impressive. Her voice is unique…….but, for me personally a little distracting at times, too nasal and breathy in this cover and others I have heard. I do understand why others like her.
Sorry, but jazz singers do not sing through their nose and chop their words. Jazz takes more talent than that. It takes control of your voice through the vocal chords not your nose. IMAO

Harri, this is one singer where our tastes differ. The over-the-top vocal affectations in this performance are so unbecoming to a girl her age. Heck, they'd be over-the-top on a woman of 25. But at least at 25, her voice would be mature enough that she wouldn't need such exaggerated breathiness and nauseating Kardashian-fry, because she'd have the breath control, which she lacks now, to smoothly weave her way through a jazz-styled performance like this (regardless of the song), while delivering emotional punch at all the right places. This risible performance of hers, at age what?...15?...is stilted, disjointed, and pedestrian. The gal who I know would positively nail this is Esperanza Spalding! (Although I'd choose a different song, because I cannot sanction music from an artist who was a criminal monster in his personal life.)
