I have hours on my hand due to that terrible Corona virus, i put Angelina to the test. I listened attentively, eyes close, to the very best Etta's covers, namely Christina Aguilera, Beyonce and Céline Dion, and to the original, not to declare a winner, since they are all winners as exceptional vocal artists, but to find who or which interpretation would amplify my emotions and bring me to my knees, so to speak. Obviously, Christina, Beyonce and Céline blow my mind with their individual soulful and perfect interpretation of Etta James's iconic song. But they did not burst my musical bubbles and made me shead a tear of blissfulness. Not even Etta, as sacrilegious and blasphemous as it could be. Only Angelina shook me to the core. They all got from me a cheerful standing ovation, except for Angelina: i was stll on the edge of my chair, noding in disbelief. They all met my high expectations, but Angelina exceeded them. They sang with their amazing voices, while Angelina sang with her wide open pure innocent heart. Angelina felt the song.
Yes, despite other singers perhaps having a technical edge (for now) still AJ delivers something else, difficult to capture in words. And she's still got it at 16, it's not something about a cute little child. ??
Yeah I mean a standing ovation? No. Poor girl wants to make people dance, but we're over here like, 'how? I'm busy having an out of body experience here young lady.' I have no legs, and don't want any legs, I'm just a mind gone elsewhere. She's always captivating. I think the reason is often as you said, there seems to be no filter between her heart, her music, and her performances. It doesn't feel like performing in the same way we know it. Performing as it's looked at, an 'act'. I do not know how to explain it. You feel like there is a connection there to her at a pure level. We've felt pieces of others before, but not quite like that. These days, she should be losing that lack of a filter in our world quickly, and she isn't really. She is much less of an act, and more of a show than I've seen. I don't know how she gives that feeling, but the good music combined with the real artist and good human we get out of these songs is quite a deal.
No matter her age, or what ever she sings or where ever she performs , every rendition always amaze me,becuse the beauty of her voice is so unique and uncomparable.
All of a sudden the Lady in the left center foreground realized what a Musical Moment this was in her Life when she got out her camera. What a fabulous presentation this was that she witnessed...
At Last is one of my favourite songs, especially when it is sung by my favourite singer. You were a diamond even at this age, today you are shining even brighter. ❤🙂

I think 'At Last' is one of the song that suits her perfectly.She is so good with it I saw all her versions many.many times.Luckily there is quite a few.So what about that bloody album coming out soon that everyone is talking about?I believe it only if I see it,otherwise it's just wishful thinking by us,fans.

Christine, watch at about two minutes twenty seconds in this clip where she is practicing the song at a tempo set faster by the band. She frowns, wrinkles her brow and makes known she is unhappy, then in the next take in this clip the band goes to a slower tempo. She is not 7 years old here. When she was 7 she had missing teeth. She is at least 8 or 9 here. Look at her audition on Norway's got talent when she was 7 and you will see.
@@elwoodjones4772 People are not saying she was older than 7 to try to "take anything away from her". They are saying she was older than 7 because it's obviously true that she was older than 7. That's all.
I don't think you can draw absolute conclusions from her front teeth in one music performance. 'course you may be a forensic medical expert to whom minutia matter.
