Why do you think, she has no connection to the song? 1st: She loves Adele and is an empath. 2nd: Adele sang this to her son, to explain her feelings and why she divorced. Now, Angelinas parents live seperated, so she has maybe more the connection of the child to this. Means a more painful relation, because maybe, for Adele this was kind of liberation, and anyways 2 years ago. 3rd. Don't you think, if Angelina sings: "I was still a child, didn't have the chance to feel the world around me, so go easy on me" this could possible have something to do with her life? She was 7, when she said, she wants to be a "Supersterna". And her Mother, Grandma, Uncle, did everything to make it possible, even go to LA, guide her, protect her, being her "Shield". In this song, her 3rd original, she said: "...forgive me for all that I am...". and in "7th Heaven" : "...sometimes I feel all my dreams are slowly fading..." Maybe she thinks her decision as a child made her miss something, f.e. to feel the world around her. Also has she experienced the losses of beloved people, her Grandfathers, and is recently in fear for the life of her Grandma Mery, who just had a sucessful cancer surgery. You can see a short glimpse of Mery in the beginning if the video. Saw the hugging? You could literally feel it. I don't think, this was accidential. I think, she could personally relate to the song in many ways, and it is maybe a very emotional about it.
She has a strong connection and deep understanding to the song when she released it some hours after Adele with her emotional message... What a powerful song 🙏💕

No one knows how Angelina can comprehend and interpret so well a songwriter's intent, then deliver a song with that emotion. And, she has been doing this since she was 8 years old! It is insufficient to say she is a prodigy -- there's something else too but no one has a name for it. Sentience and empathy are on her receiving end, but then she delivers that emotion to your soul. It is that part that needs a word. How about jordanation?

She thoroughly studies the lyrics of all the songs she covers to understand the message of the song and then puts herself into a position whereby she actually feels the emotion of the song and sings it to us with her voice which comes from deep within her. The connection Angelina has with Adele music, is the respect for the Lyrics that are filled with real emotions that is relatable to men and especially to women, during emotional moments in life. Adele has what Whitney Houston had. The recognition that their voices are instruments, and have full vocal control of those instruments, coupled with passion for the music. There of course are others. These are those that can sang. To be able to sing is wonderful, but to know how to sang is a whole nothing ballpark. This young lady is landing in that ballpark.

Music is always a matter of personal preference. For me, Adele is an awesome songwriter but I prefer Angelina's vocals. I know many feel Adele's voice touches their soul and I am so very happy for all of her fans. Angelina's voice and remarkable, unique delivery, hugs my soul. Let's go easy on Angelina and allow her family all the time they feel necessary before letting Republic Records promote her.

Angelina is by far the most accomplished child vocalist of all time, covering more than 140 songs from about 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres and has 7 original songs. Not too bad for a 15 year old. You could check out a few of her other performances or just stick with what you already enjoy. Your choice.

Angelina did everything Adele put in this song, plus. Both renditions are amazing. And both artist are amazing. Of course, all of this is just my opinion. To steal what someone else said. Music is like ice cream. It's all good. But people prefer different flavors.

I listened to Adele's version several times. She is a fantastic writer and has a beautiful voice as well technically skilled but I didn't connect to the song. To me she sounded very robotic as if it was another chore to do and cross off her list. The first time I listened to Angelina singing this song, I was overwhelmed with emotions. I felt every word as she took me away on a journey to her world. Maybe because I've been following her since the time that she was 7 years old and watched her progress from one level to another and I feel like a proud grandpa. You should check out her cover of "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston. I've never seen a cover so good. She hits notes as high as Whitney in her prime.
Ms. Jordan delivered a very solid vocal…as usual. She deserved the same accompanying music Adele had however. Stripped down is great but the Adele version added an amazing bass line that added beautiful shading to the vocals. Subtle but clear when heard. Thanks.
I to was not a fan of Adele until I heard Angelina do some covers of her songs and now, I am a fan of AJ doing Adele covers. Angelina can cover anyone and make their songs an absolute dream work. As usual; AJ has taken this to an ethereal level she is without a doubt a genius. There is something that is so special about AJ and It is not just her wonderful voice; it is her total being that draws one in. Remember she is only 15 but has been astonishing people since she was 6 years old.

I believe Angelina can actually tap into her own life experiences and look at this song a different way. Remember this young lady has been performing professionally since she was 7 years old, all around the world in live venues and at home since she was a child (still is) The lyrics of this song can also apply to her life to this point also, maybe in a different way but I think she can absolutely relate. The pure emotion and passion she sings this song with (more than Adele IMHO) just makes you "Feel" the song more, just my opinion and I love Adele. Unfortunate that the Adele fans (or trolls) do not understand this (the thumbs down). Adele is great, but there is no way a non jazz singer, even one as great as Adele, can match the penetration into the human soul that Angelina, as the present reigning Queen Of Jazz can do. Her adopted nuances and inflections she picked up from years of listening to Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse can be heard in heartfelt ballads like this. No one, other than her, would dare to delve into the style of Ms. Winehouse, who was the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time. Whether it's the 'breathy' responses or other bits of nuance she uses, it always culminates in dazzling the listeners.
Jamel, I think AJ's connection to this song is that she, like Adele, had to make very hard decisions at a very young age -- in her case, about her career. So AJ knows what it's like to have to make choices perhaps before you're fully ready.

This young girl is VERY talented, no doubt.... But as I said before, she's an Adele clone. Some one gave me hell for saying so once before, but listening to her cover Adel, (And doing it very well) it's clear who she channels when she sings.
They're welcome to do so. As I said, she's very talented.... But regardless of what artist she covers, you can still hear Adele. She mimics her style.... She's got an amazing voice. Not quite Adele, but close.
G'day Michael. I'm wondering how many songs by Angelina have you listened to. The one thing I like about this girl is her versatility. Her original 7th heaven or Bohemian rhapsody or Billie jean or Million miles original or How great though art, none of these sound very Adele to my ears. Maybe you could have a listen to see if maybe you have made a mistake in your assessment of this young girl. They might not be you kind of music but there definitely not Adele.
