Not exactly a true mashup, more a "first me, then You" duet created from Angelina's performance in the finals of AGT the Champions 2020 and Sir Elton John's performance at BBC "Top Of The Pops" 1973
There were several roads nearby, but it did not take her long to find the one paved with yellow bricks. Within a short time she was walking briskly toward the Emerald City.
Later she found that she already had what she was looking for all along.

Thank you for the lyrics, Yozhik! Very helpful for our review! I will never, never forget the last 4th and 3th lines of the song where, first, she imitates the howling of the owl, then pronounces, it seems to me, the word owl, thereby artistically taking a poetic licence with regard to the lyrics. I may be wrong, but i don t care too much! The immense emotional pleasure it gave me then will remain: there is no thruth in art, but delight!

As a lifelong fan of Elton John it is hard to admit she is better than he is with a great song. I am not sure how to describe what I feel when she sings but otherworldly would be close!

@@rogmun1820 she's been in bigger stage singing with quincy jones and the likes. She already have a career. It's good that her family is protecting her lest she end up like most hollywood teen celebrities who ended up miserably. Notice how she remains humble and shy ending her every performance with a simple smile. She should have been in agt as guest performer not a contestant. She's way beyond their league.

I believe shes on the show because its champions from other Got Talent shows. She won New Zealand's at age 7 so this is all champions competing. But agreed shes had a career for quite awhile however this show just made her famous in the U.S. and other countries. None of us heard of her before these performances.

Cozette M she won Norway’s got talent at 7. Right now she’s got the no one jazz album on the jazz charts and she has so many fans all over the world. Just check out how many views she has on RU-vid and watch some of her videos. She is going to to a legend as she grows older.

You could also say that she took on Pablo Picasso, Paul Gauguin & Gustav Klimt with the dress she wore in the first show and came out on top, but music isn't a competition even if TV shows like AGT and others try to make you think it is.

@@takismi With all due respect to your opinion, Angelina Jordan significantly improved the original versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Good Bye Yellow Brickroad. That doesn't mean Freddie Mercury or Elton John are no longer Legends. There are just now two best versions of two Rock's iconic songs.

Thnx 4 the mashup. It shows what I observed in comparing the two performances (after her AGT rendition), and also from another more recent live from Elton John: he needs backup singers to augment the high notes of his song, but Angelina can do it all by herself, solo. She outshines him and his whole band. The girl is that powerful.

I fully believe will be the greatest music phenom for a few generations. She just turned 14 for fucks sake!! I'm in my 40's and she shocks my spirit. I truly wish the best for her, may she stay free of all the things that have broken/damaged/destroyed so many great singers. (She's already experienced to much in that department =( ...........not that she did but things that happened to others she knew of, worked with, and covered.

I love both versions..Elton John's version I can relate to as a real life situation..Angelina's version is a more soothing relaxing version that I enjoy listening to after a hard day at work. Both are excellent versions...and yes there will only ever be one..SIR ELTON JOHN.

The two versions are not comparable. Elton John’s is an excellent rendition of an original tune in that particular genre. Angelina does a beautiful job making it her own in a jazz standard genre.

Elton has his voice double tracked, with a ton of effects on it. Angelina had no effects whatsoever. However, Elton is a legend.

It would easy to "mashup" Angelina's version with Sarah Bareilles' 2013 re-arrengment of this Elton classic, since Angelina essentially sang Sarah's version. Not the whole song of course, since AGT does not allow that much time, but Angelina definitely based her presentation of Sarah's vocal interpretations and also Sarah's musical (piano) variation. Elton was never known for the beautiful dynamics that Sarah applied to this melody and Angelina delivered them nicely.

Actually AJ did not style this after Elton's version. Take look at this song done by American singer Sara Bareilles. This was most likely the inspiration for Angelina. By the way, Sir Elton raved about Sara's rendition.
