Angelina, is (like) a Singing Impersonator. She has the amazing skill to match the sounds of just about any Vocalist she hears. Not that she is Copying ANY of them, she changes tempo, and does her thing . It's no wonder we "hear" similar sounds of other Vocalists.

From Iowa, USA; 1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 2. AJ is currently signed with Republic Records. 3. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music. 4. She has been arranging most, if not all of her music performances since she was 8 years old. Hopefully this will remain as she continues her career with Republic. 5. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot and I hope by now that you have discovered the incredible reason why she does that. 6. AJ sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother) and she stands 6 feet tall at 15 yeats old! 7. We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come. 8. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since age 7.

In my opinion, it's even better and more "professional" than this one (though this one's incredible too)! It was done on a Norwegian TV show on stage in front of a live, large studio audience. You should check it out as well!

We know that you are going through a rite of passage and, one day, will become a hard-core Angel like the rest of us. Always remember that Angelina was born January 10, 2006. That will help you calculate how old she is in her videos. Don't use the RU-vid posting dates as indicators of her age. Sometimes those were posted one or two years after the videos in which she performs. Just do regular RU-vid searches to access the 140+ videos she has there. Harri, she is just a pro-always relaxed and comfortable on stage. Even in her first public auditions at 7 years old. Definitely watch the Norway’s Got Talent songs. All four are special in their own way. She just kills them. The combination of her incredible vocal talent and her stage presence at 7-8 is literally something you have never seen.

She seemed a bit nervous at first on Gloomy Sunday, but soon forgot her nerves once the music started. I think she was nervous singing I'm a Fool to Want You. But after that - never.

@Fred-I know what you mean. In those two, I think it was just such a new situation for her that she was a little bit tentative. But once she started singing Gloomy Sunday, she got right in that groove where she’s immersed in the music. On I’m a Fool to Want You, I think it’s more the soft and breathy interpretation that we’re seeing. It’s just so outrageous that a seven year old could even consider doing Billie Holiday a cappella in front of judges. Like her later performances-she hardly ever seems to be singing for the judges or the audience. She’s just in her musical bubble, and she wants to sing.

She is fearless! Never any stage fright, just the opposite. She had done at least 3 AW covers. Valerie, Back to black (enhanced lyrics) and Rehab (enhanced lyrics). Other classics she has done is What a difference a day makes and Every time we say goodbye. Just to mention a couple great ones. But she has covered almost all shangres, except opera and hard rock.

That's our girl. There is one word that I believe fits her better than any other. FEARLESS. Amazing, stunning, fantastic, impressive, beautiful, prodigious, yes. All of the above and many more, but always FEARLESS. My $.02 (two cents) BTW she did this twice for a TV audience, the second time indoors with an even better band. It's worth another whole reaction. The ending on this one is unmatched - face to the sky - simply mind-blowing, but the other has many subtle additions that make it arguably "better". Great reaction again Harri. 👍👍

Nice reaction! Angelina has 3 channels. One is specifically Angelina covers. You could also check out Rusty Shackleford's chronological playlist of most of Angelina's videos. Angelina does a few Amy Winehouse covers. Back to Black (with revised lyrics to make it age appropriate). Valerie (with sister Juliette dancing to some of it), Rehab (with more appropriate lyrics--school instead of rehab), Our Day Will Come (nice outdoor festival). Good stuff here! She also has a few Adele covers that are exceptional, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Dinah Washington, Whitney, Dolly, Queen, Elvis. One- named artists we all recognize. Soon that will be Angelina!

One of her exceptional (even for her) performances is her version of "I'm still holding out for you," which was written by BabyFuzz, although he didn't release his own performance of the song to the public until after Angelina recorded hers. And that's one of the songs not on Angelina's RU-vid channel (because reasons.)

As far as Angelina's major musical influences go, her #1 is Billie Holiday. She has said, without the beautiful music of Billie Holiday, there wouldn't be an Angelina Jordan today. She has also mentioned major influences were Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé & Adele. I would add Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Dinah Washington & about 50 others!

You can't always go by the date videos were posted to figure out how old she was; many were posted long after the performances. Rusty Shackleford has a chronological playlist ( ru-vid.com/group/PL2v8kgVeo4EbYDVnRwObjETfWpXbzbgIO )of most of her videos. If the particular one your viewing doesn't list a performance date, one of the adjacent ones probably does. By the way, she says she is never nervous when performing; she thrives on it. Ivan Mendez, one of her guitar players, said in an interview she knew way more songs than him in detail. And he's more than 10 years older. Another reactor noted that identical passages in the same performances really are almost 100% identical. That should tell a bit about the consistency she's able to manage, if she wants to. So the audacity to try that run - well thats the point, she's not trying because she knows what she is doing. There is no one place that holds all her performances. There are fan recordings from her concerts, tv recordings and some leaked and/or reconstructed stuff. Someone may have already posted this but here are some answers to your questions. First, you cannot always trust the date on a video. Sometimes they are posted many months or years after they were made. Second, Angie has another video of the same song, inside and a different band. Some folks like that one better; I don't. Third, head on over to Rusty Shackleford's page and he has posted playlists of all of Angelina's songs, about 140 now. Just a heads up Harri, not all of the videos are uploaded at the time they were made. For example, the 'I who have nothing' video wasn't uploaded until 2015, but it was recorded in 2012, which is probably why you thought she was 9yrs old in it.
