I remember my shock when hearing this particular performance for the first time. I think a major part of the impact Angelina's singing has on people is a combination of four elements: 1) a body that's made for vocalizing; 2) an instinct for mimicry that helps her learn techniques quickly and accurately; 3) a detailed vision for how she wants a song to sound; and 4) the will to work to deliver that vision to her audience. She is already the most exciting vocalist and composer since Joni Mitchell. I'm breathless to hear where her talent takes her in the coming years. Since you and Vickie loved this cover so much, AJ, I'll suggest you listen to a hidden gem from her. You can compare it, because she exceptionally sang Frank's fast version at Quincy's birthday concert (for obvious reasons, O2 Arena London 2018). “Fly me to the Moon” is Angelina's signature song, she has performed it countless times - it is said that more than sixty of these performances have been recorded. It was her first ever live appearance on TV (“Senkveld” talk show March 2014) and is part of her first album (“It’s Magic, 2018). Interpreting this video is like looking at a Picasso painting - there's a lot to talk about and you're not sure you understand the meaning... It is unknown when the soundtrack for this video was recorded in the studio and mixed with the visuals - probably late 2015 or early 2016. The location is somewhere in the southwestern United States, probably Southern California, but could also be Utah. Although Angelina is from Norway, she has relatives in LA and often traveled to California to visit them.
