I've listened to her every day since and just recently had the wonderful opportunity of seeing her perform live at a sold out concert in LA. When I think that at 75 years old I'm still not mature, I can't help but feel a bit envious of these old kids. Angelina is Norwegian, but with ancestors from all over the world. A film crew followed her and created a documentary of her called Angelina Jordan: 10 Years In The Making which premiered on her official RU-vid channel on March 29th, 2024. Currently, she is working with 3 time Grammy winner songwriter/producer Toby Gad creating new original music for her to sing. Gad has co-wrote and produced such big hits like All Of Me by John Legend, Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie, If I Were A Boy by Beyonce, and Skyscraper by Demi Lovato and a number of others. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. One of the reasons why we love her so much!

There is about 170 songs on you tube she sang before she was 14 and Katia, you and Gabriela will enjoy listening to her very much. Yes, you are correct, she was born to sing and as far as how comfortable she seemed to be, she has been quoted as saying she is most comfortable in life when she is singing on stage to people. Gabriela, I enjoyed watching you react to Angelina because you didn't seem jealous of her. Instead you recognized her talent and appreciated it. You are very special, too, Gabriela.
The most obvious next song is "I Put a Spell On You" with Halloween coming up and she is 9 in that one. You will see an entirely different side of Angelina, but then again, she changes her style for each song based on her artistic vision. And yes she has an artistic vision at age 9 arranging the songs herself accordingly. Someone said that "Fly Me to the Moon" wasn't her best song at age 8, and while I find that debatable I suggested it because of the short interview beforehand. My favorite at that age is probably "What a Difference a Day Make." performed at an outdoor concert. She has so many cover songs at a young age and one can't ignore the songs she sang on Norway's Got Talent. You are in for a fun ride if you want to watch more of them. She has gotten increasingly more brilliant as the years pass up until her current age of 18.

She is an excellent role model as well because of her charitable activities and her general attitude. She will be 19 on next January 10th. She has a lot of music on Spotify. If you want to be shocked by how low she can sing listen to her sing How Great Thou Art at 12. No one else is a singer in her family. Her grandmother is a painter and poet. Most of Angelina's fans are older people, we know quality when we see it.

Very nice reaction. I hope your daughter enjoyed it too. No singers in Angelina’s family. She showed an interest in singing as a toddler. Her grandmother introduced her to jazz at a very young age. By 3 Angelina was studying the jazz greats on RU-vid videos. She was born in Norway but her family moved to Los Angeles when she was 12. She speaks multiple languages. I think the only ones we know that she is fluent in are Norwegian, English and Farsi although she may not have spoken Farsi in a long time. She knows a little bit of a couple others. Like all artists she started with cover songs but has been writing songs since she was about 10. She says that she has written over 100 songs. 13 originals have been released to date, several others have been recorded but not yet released and she also debuted a couple more at recent concerts. She’s currently 18 and not a household name yet but little by little she is getting more recognition. If you decide to go on the Angelina journey you can go back to her Norway’s Got Talent performances, you can go forward or jump around. Either way you will not be disappointed. I'm 60 and discover Angelina on youtube about 3 or 4 years ago..I can say without a DOUBT, Angelina is a once in a generational talent...I've listen to so many genre of music and have enjoy many artists in my lifetime, but in recent memories, none is as good or GREAT as her...Not only is her voice divine, she also write her own music, talk about a true musical genius...She's not just a 'so and so' music writer, but in my opinion they are GREAT music, that I feel deserve some grammies... If you watch any of her early performances I think you’ll come to the same con census as most angels have. That is you’re witnessing a child musical prodigy that only comes along few decades or centuries. Her grasp of music at such an early age brings to mind such luminaries as Mozart and Beethoven. Both were similar child prodigies. Angelina’s grandmother,Meri Zemani, was also a prodigy. A highly celebrated artist and poet from Iran.

Her maturity, and calm in situations that would terrify most adults, is one of her striking and endearing characteristics: her mother Sara said recently that Angelina was behaving like an adult by the age of an 8... Angie is from Oslo in Norway, nowadays living in LA/California. Her grandma was a child prodigee in painting, yet no other artistic roots are known in the family. She had access to an after school music program in Norway but apart from that she's been mostly self taught. She said at age three she watched one of Simon Cowells Talent shows and decided she wanted to sing there, too. After that she relentlessly trained and followed that path. yes she is 18 now! she has completed weaponized her voice, it has matured so beautifully with is crazy because her voice has always been mature for her age. Angelina told us, during a listening party for her "Old Enough" EP, she would line up her dolls on the couch and perform concerts for them. She taught herself to sing and began receiving music lessons starting at age 4, but her teachers were smart enough not to do anything with her vocals. Angelina is 18 now, and said she has written more than 100 songs, 16 of which we have heard. In my opinion, she is the best female singer in the world. I have been following her ever since she auditioned on Norway's Got Talent when she was 7 years old, and now at age 18 she is absolutely amazing. So far she has been protected from the industry, but things are about to change very soon. She has just had two concerts in the US, (Las Vegas on Feb 29th this year, and just a few weeks ago in Los Angeles, where she has been living since she was 12.) She has more than 200 covers out on RU-vid and also quite a few originals. As to what you should be listening to next, I just have to recommend her cover of I Put A Spell On You by Screamin' Jay Hawkins (now that Halloween is getting very close), from when she was 9 years 2 months old. She made her own arrangement for the song, and the performance is probably the best performance by a 9 year old you will ever see.
