Angelina was reading the words (English) as she was singing. She skipped a line, but like a true professional, she quickly realized it and caught up with the lyrics without stopping the performance. Her voice and inflections are perfect. And the fact she was able to correct and continue was phenomenal. All at less than 7 years of age! Amazing!
I believe she was 6 here, and if this isn't insane, I don't know what to tell you? I believe she was born with an adult level 'genius' brain like her prodigious grandmother. Two geniuses in the same family is a bit on the rare side. Grandma Mery was reciting her poetry on 'Radio Iran' when she was 4 and Angelina has been shown to be singing an adult song when she was 1-1/2. Both love Billie Holiday and whereas Mery was her mentor in all areas except music, Billie supplied Angelina with improvisational singing that no one else had ever done.

That's at least the way I have understood it. This was maybe the first recording of her where it became REALLY apparent that something extremely special was going on. Some performances by this remarkable human being are milestones of the journey in my opinion. In this song, her genius is clearly manifested, already showing not only her powerful and talented voice, but her abnormal abilities already demonstrating her immense musicality. Pure intelligence!
First: get well soon! Angelina was only 6.5 years here..... This really is so, so good. It's her age, the fact English is her second language (Norwegian is the first) and than that breathcontrol from start to finish.... And the conversation at the end makes clear that she is knowing so very well what she is doing....
This video was lurking in ‘private’ for a long time before being made public briefly. Luckily I captured it (just) before it disappeared again within 15 minutes. Unless the metadata has been manipulated the original video was posted when AJ was 6. I think I know who was behind the camera and in this case it wasn’t grandmother Meri.

A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. As usual, a vocal master piece. Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old.
Every time I listen and watch very young Angelina sing this song I fall in love with her while marveling at the beauty of this performance and her voice. Really hard to find the right words to describe Angelina. For me she is like no other.

Hi Mr. J, health goes first I'd say. Hope you keep improving! Angelina's age is often said to be 6 here, as the video had that in the title until recently. However, by looking at her teeth and comparing that to her teeth in the NGT videos, you can clearly tell that this was recorded after her Gloomy Sunday audition, and likely after her I''m A Fool To Want you accapella performance. She fumbled one sentence. Well, in her defence, most English 6 year olds wouldn’t be able to read the lyrics, let alone sing them at the same time, and definitely wouldn’t cope with doing that in another language! She is and always has been absolutely amazing. So sorry you’re going through the mill, might I suggest that you just watch more Angelina Jordan videos, you will forget your pain and that is half way to healing. Take care of yourself.

Not many 6 year old can read at all, much less can speak and read in their second (or third) language, even much smaller number of them can read and sing at the same time but only one can read and sing and make mistake and continue in a way that you even do not notice mistake.

First take Angelina!! To this day, Angelina nails it on her first take. Amazing how someone so young (early age 7 is best guess) can sing so well but also reflect on her performance with such maturity. Angelina always wants to improve. Mr. J, wishing you better health soon. Cigarettes are tough to quit. I cut down to about 10 per day for a few years before convincing myself I didn't want to smoke anymore. Hopefully you can find your way to quit.
So glad you are back and i really wish you a fast recovery! I subscribed you on first AJ reaction and have enjoyed them. It is so inspiring to see a musician enjoy her so much. I did vote for her win back in NGT2014 and attended at her concert in Kongsberg. She sounds even more incredible live and producers says AJ is one of few 1 takers while recording songs. She’s reading the lyrics at 6 years old. Very few kids can’t do that at her age much less sing perfectly at the same time. Cut out the smoking and alcohol and acidic foods and take acetaminophen for pain. No aspirin or NSAID’s. Basically, anything that you enjoyed doing or eating or drinking, STOP! Lol!
