That was very impressive. I had goose bumps too. I have heard Beyoncé version many times and I thought it was OK. But this singer puts some serious emotions into this performance. He is currently in process of producing an album of his top eight songs called Piano Diaries. He invited Angelina to perform this song which was originally made famous by Beyoncé in 2008, and has received over 600 million views. Most believe this version is much more touching and emotional, and Angelina has made it hers. Move over Beyoncé! Toby and Angelina are working on some original music coming in the next few months, possibly as an album. He is very influential in the industry and this undoubtedly is a huge break for Angelina.

Welcome back 2 GEN....It's been too long, however you picked the perfect time to check out Angelina. I'd not heard the original, so I checked it out... Angelina's rendition is as different as the sun is from the moon. Soulful, yes! There's so much more emotion here, more attention is paid to the lyrics, the nuances that she inserts make one believe the poignant story, and the strength of resolve...and all it took is Angelina's vocal prowess that knows no boundaries, a piano and a cello, directed by a top notch renowned producer in the music industry. I hope this song bursts onto mainstream radio..as I believe it has the potential to blast the charts..as expected, across the pond it's made quite a splash. Angelina created, yet again, MAGIC!! 2GEN, I hope we hear more from you. (she did her 1st gig in Las Vegas earlier this year, a video was generated called "10 Years in the Making, Angelina Jordan", you can find it on any of her channels. I did a little search on the internet: This song is written by Toby Gad in 2008 and B.C. Jean (who was also the very first singer who performed it). Beyoncé performed it in the same year. And here we see the writer of this song,Toby Gad, playing the piano, and Angelina performing it: This is the result..... a very beautiful song. Not at least because Angelina is such a gifted "story teller". I wonder: did Angelina have influence on this arrangement? Maybe, maybe not, but it wouldn't surprise me because this woman understands the way music works better than most of us. One can't help it to feel it. Other good news is that Toby Gad and Angelina are working on more songs together, with Angelina as co-writer and performer. We just must be patience, wait and see....
The song was written by JC Jean and Tony Gad and originally performed by JC Jean in 2008 .. Beyoncé recorded it that same year. Now .. Angelina has sang this with the same pianist four times that I have seen videos of .. and the important thing is that he is Toby Gad .. the co-writer .. so this is the REAL DEAL

Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. This song was co-written by Toby Gad at the piano, together with the artist that first performed it (BC Jean), before Beyoncémade it extremely popular. Toby is an incredible song writer, and back in 2014 he was ranked as the world's 3rd most successful song writer, having also co-written "All Of Me" by John Legend and the song "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie, just to mention a few. The "Piano Diaries" is an album of his that released yesterday, and on it he has invited different singers to sing rearranged versions of some of his most popular songs Toby and Angelina have also made at least ONE original together, called "Bad Valentine". That song will release in a couple of months. But they have been working quite a bit together already, and I am extremely hopeful that the two together can elevate Angelina's career to the next level. With the kind of voice and skills she possesses, all it takes is ONE song that will go viral, and the rest will be a done deal. This song will been released in two completely different versions in terms of instrumentation. Another video will also be launched where the visual content is completely different where we see Angelina appearing in "normal clothes" and with pop instruments.
Well, I believe this song was originally intended for and sung by B.C. Jean who is the other songwriter. When Beyoncé later heard this song she liked it so much that she bought it.
