I heard Laurens version, It was good. Angelina took it up a few notches with her emotion. You would think it was angelinas song she put so much into it. Amazing. Beautiful reaction. Well done😊😊😊😊. My Dad passed away in September 2020 during lockdown. The same for my family and me. Mum had to sit on her own in the church with only eight other family members. Heart breaking. I played this to him shortly before he passed away and he loved the song. He was also an amateur astronomer and loved the moon reference 😢😢❤❤.
I agree that a lot of amateur filmed video is disappointing. Here you lucked on this performance which was professionally filmed by a Norwegian TV team. I think they filmed the whole concert, but only this and one other song has been released by them, as far as I know. I would love to buy a DVD of their coverage, if they ever produce one. I enjoyed your review and am looking forward to more.

Her live performances show her to change tempo and phrasing. I can understand why the people of Norway call her a national treasure of their country. She originally released this at 14 in 2020. When my mother passed several months later at the height of COVID , this became my touchstone. Angelina said that this song is for everyone who's lost a friend or family member. Thanks AJ.

Yeah..Angelina does here what she often does. She applies the Angelina Axiom of Tempo which holds that a 10% decrease in tempo allows for a ~50% increase in emotional content. I was there under this performance. That last belt she did, i forgot to breathe and i when i started to breathe again, both eyes were wet. I was only 6 meters away from her and the concert was best ever (seen Springsteen, Rolling stones ,Kiss- A-ha.) I am so glad i supported her win back in NGT 2014. When Angelina was a little girl, her japanese Grandfather took her with him into Oslo. "The streets saw her growing up". Her grandpa helped the homeless community with food and sometimes a job. This she honors today as her legacy, she was seen at Christmas, bringing dinner to homeless people. When her beloved grandpa was in hospital, knowing he would going to die, he told her, "I will watch you from the moon, see every thing you do" and, so I was told " stay true to yourself and you will never regret what you do". Thank you for sharing. I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank goodness Angelina was one of the best things happening in those dark days. Bringing a bright light during those dark times. We can, in spite of all our flaws and imperfections help one another face the future with confidence and hope. Angelina is our ambassador of hope God willing we will make it thru in love.

As it does for a LOT of people, for a lot of different reasons I guess. It is simply amazingly beautiful. This particular rendition of it has become more and more my favorite, even though it took me quite a few listens to adjust and hear it like I should, if you understand what I mean. What I found truly amazing about this version poolhallshark is that once again Angelina applies a technique that she often uses, this time to her OWN song… she slows the tempo WAY down. She does this so often and so beautifully. ❤️

Just WOW Zooty...what a wonderful heart felt and sincere reaction. Can tell by the look on your face this one got you and to be honest it gets to all of us who have lost loved ones. Angelina poured her heart and soul into this Live performance and every time I watch this the tears will flow...no stopping it. This absolutely remarkable young lady is such a beautiful, wonderful, humble, sweet and caring human being that the current music industry does not deserve. We Angels, you included, are very lucky to be alive in the time of Angelina. Now I have to try and get a hold of my emotions after this. Love all the versions of this song she has done but that last incredible note, crying out to her Grandpa, just floors me each time. I am sure he heard that.
