Angelina has built her name by taking on some of the most beautiful and intense songs in the modern popular music catalogue and killing it every single time. Her challenge is going to be finding or writing songs that are good enough for her. Her skills are limitless and her voice is inimitable. It's going to be something to watch. :)

Faith welcome back to Angelina's world. From what I understand, Angelina wrote this song shortly after her maternal grandfather passed in November 2019, so it was just before she turned 14 years old. IMO Million Miles will live forever providing comfort to anyone who has lost a loved one. Now she just turned 15 and her first album on Republic Records is due at any time.

Again with Angelina for the wonderful reaction also at the new version of this fantastic original of the barefoot princess, this is the third version, after the lyrics version and the live. Angelina ... it's really hard to comment on this song, this beautiful girl and the fantastic family that surrounds her, are truly a wonderful reality. ❤️ Every time I hear this so emotional song I am moved again and all hers 3 videos are, in a different way, an expression of Angelina's fantastic affective and human world. Always close to the heart and full of affection, she is simply wonderful. 🤗 ❤️ With the sweet participation of her little sister Juliette, her uncle Michael and the photo of her 2 grandparents who died in 2018 and 2019.

gonna be long winded here - sorry ... soooo anyway, more years ago than I care to admit, I was fairly fresh out of the service and not exactly sure what I wanted to do with my life - but I had enjoyed playing music for years, so started I studying music at Loyola in NOLA. One required class was "Music appreciation" - was sort of one of those "go for the credit" courses LOL. Anyway, the prof was fairly young - maybe a few years older than I was at the time, and, at one point, he got off on to music videos which, at the time, were still in their infancy - maybe even pre-infancy. Anyway, he was really excited about the possibility of bringing another level of experience to music and, while I was really in favor of the possibilities, I was VERY unimpressed with the few I had seen - mostly because they seemed just a distraction from the music or song. Some were just flashy ("HEY, look what we can do!") and some almost disturbing and distracting in the attempt to join the action with the song. For that reason, I was very hesitant to even watch this video when I saw it had dropped. I mean, I had seen and enjoyed the studio vid ... BUT I have so enjoyed watching and listening to AJ as she grew up and matured as a (apparently humble and pleasingly modest) young lady and musician - so I figured, okee dokee, I'll give it a shot. ... ... WOW!! THIS is what all music videos should be. It actually sort of brings you even further into the piece - WOW! I LOVE, most of all, the subtlety with which the actions recall the words - just amazing! I mean, obviously the hand holding, of course - but also the house, I guess either her childhood home or her grandparents' home - in either case, a place she would have spent time with her grandfather ... also obviously being alone on the long empty road with the moon overhead ("...I'm watching you from the moon...") and her calling out loudly and unafraid while standing alone and exposed at night in the wild with just the moon as company ... ... ALSO his shoes - first in the house - then later, beside her by the water ("...I'm everywhere, see everything you do...") ... playing chase as a child - and, when older, running alone ... her smallness when leaning against the strong old tree ... her song being released and rising up to the moon through an open window at the end ... ... AND, as an almost startling expression of her unwillingness to accept the loss, that scream of a defiant warrior in the face of an overwhelming foe (in this case, the MOST overwhelming foe - death) ... I mean, who among us is not taken immediately back to our own screams against such loss in our past. Without meaning to be too grandiose in my praise - THIS is a masterpiece and ultimate example of what a music video SHOULD be ... but maybe I should say "penultimate" or at least HOPE "penultimate" because I want and expect we will be hearing and seeing yet even greater effort from her in the future. WHEW! ... just HOLY W O W!! p,s, REALLY enjoyed your reaction to AJ's "I Put a Spell on You" ... LOL ... GREAT!

Thanks Faith for the great reaction! I must have been living under a rock because I've never heard Angelina before. She's really good! I know she's going to grow up with her own unique sound and identity, but for now I can't help but think of Adele when I hear her. Is it just me?

Hey, haven't seen you for a while, so am happy to find this new reaction. This is actually the third version of her original song. The first is an animated lyric video with the artwork of Angelina and her grandmother, reminiscent of the illustrations in the book that Angelina wrote at age nine. The second is her live studio version in black and white. And finally this perfected one. I think you would enjoy watching the other two on your own. They are both worthwhile. You know that Angelina sometimes has a little surprise for us at the end of a video that can be missed if one doesn't let it run out to silence. You missed the magic angel dust at the end of this one. I'm looking forward to the next one.
