I have been calling this album a cocktail of genre and beats. Tied together by Angelinas seductive soulful jazzy vocals and excellent lyrics. The story arc goes from unrequited love to triumphant self belief.
Besides the story arc, do you hear the musicality following a particular progression? One reactor describes one song as a 1990’s rap instrumental foundation with melodic vocal on top.
We should be absolutely thrilled when someone chops up Angie's work. It makes them need to go see the original content. It's the right thing to do. Win, win. I love this song so much. The lyrics are probably my favorite of hers. Some of my favorite lyrics ever really.

I think I understand where you're coming from when you draw your comparisons of why you do what you do with a video/audio you're reviewing. I think I have probably been one of the guilty ones bitching about the broken audio. Putting that aside, I still love your critiques of Angelina's prowess in making beautiful music, giving those of us without your skills the underlying technical shit that makes it all come together. Her EP is absolutely astounding vocally and lyrically, and I love it all. I appreciate what you do.

Hey Ellis, did you know Angelina has a concert coming up in September? It is in Portsmouth in the Musical Hall 'An evening with Angelina Jordan' There are still tickets and since you don't mind driving a few miles to see a movie... :-) For me it's very simple: you have your channel and do whatever you think is appropriate. I'll keep coming back as long as I'm having fun. The Cancer/RU-vid analogy was really good It may go over some people's heads. But, I understand that you have set up your channel with longevity in mind. That said, This is my favorite track on the EP.

Could it be your definition of Transformation is differrent than others. I generally watch reactors for what they are giving me. Whether they wear there feelings on their sleeve and brighten my day by displaying the obvious joy they get when listening to Angelina. Or in other cases, the interesting and quirky reactor, or dare I say wierd guy that Is obviously a good man, but in some strange way entertains me. Angelina Music is on display sure, but at the day is only part of the reason I watch these things. In fact there are many reactor's I won't watch, regardless if they play Angelina simply cause they don't offer any thing "transformative" in the form of Humor? Heart felt emotion? Deep Thoughts? Long winded Diatribs? So okay... You think it's not transformative... Others think it is, and your simply not wanting to take a chance. Others are. We get it. I've still been turning up to watch you, cause guess what? I like you, and some of the strange stuff you say (Strange but not crazy). It's all good really. I don't agree with your thoughts on it in this case, and that's okay too. FYI CICI Dover has over a million of subs and doesn't muddy anything, she offers a transformative technical reaction and I don't even care if she's talking in Spanish, the joy and her love of Angelina is out of this world. Bloyde Reacts is chasing down a milliion subs, and he don't blur or muddy anything either... Again a very knowable music lover offering interesting comments with a smooth enjoyable voice. Love it. HI Ellis, great analogy and I guessed as much. Lot's of channels just dissappear, some come back and are re-doing previous reactions to bolster their reborn channel. Many turn to Angie cos she has such a large following to try and fast track that process. Going fwd I suspect UMG will be much stricter with control of released material. U will notice on the whole EP the production is stronger than we have heard before, but I love it, Angie's vocals shine like no others, regardless of this.
What you do is why we come here. Do you stray from the Rez every now and then? My feeling if you don't know what that feels like you may not recognize it when you do so in the future. A little overreach is not a bad thing as long as it doesn't become the thing. I never worry that I will get a cookie cutter reaction when I come here. I also appreciate your lack of use of the phrase, 'she made it her own'. I have left reactors that always pull that old chestnut out. I try to tell them that that phrase is like people who say, 'you know what I mean' after anything they say. So if nothing else you save us from that. But you do way more than that and I appreciate the hell out of your reactions.
Het Ellis, lighten up a little. You add value to your reactions by explaining the importance of the instrumentation! As you say, Angelina's voice is beyond question, so it's the production and story of the song that bears investigation. Don't worry about the metrics! From my point of view, it's better to have 9 people listening to the end rather than 100 that have an attention span of 30 seconds! Especially as RU-vid has the same attention span. Basically, you worry too much. Of course, nothing lasts forever, just enjoy the moment!!
She adds vocal fry onto her vibrato and creates vibracatto? Stacatto with her vocal cords? Does anyone else do that, am I hearing that correctly? What do you think Ellis. I looked up vocal staccato and couldn’t even find it anywhere, only with instruments. Am I losing my mind, I know her vocals are insane but I don’t want them to make me crazy also. lol!
I always assumed the others were just luckier. Because they don't ALL get away with it. Lots complain of getting blocked, but lots get away with it. It seems that youtube cracks down selectively, and once it happened to you enough time that your threshold is exceeded, then you stop taking chances..
As soon as I heard this masterpiece, my memory went back to Alicia Keys and Jay Z performing 'Empire State Of Mind' live in 'Times Square' NYC. To get Angelina the wide world exposure that would be wonderful, imagine Beyonce (who, like Angelina is in the Republic Records stable), going to her hubby Jay Z, and recommending a reprise of his performance originally using Alicia Keys. Angelina can play piano on the level required for the intro to the song, and then just picture her leaving the piano and joining Jay Z on stage. She has more than enough power to match Alicia's vocals, and she has showed us her 'Rap' ability. It would be an epic event, for sure.
Ok. Not sure at all what this was. Certainly wasn't a reaction to Angelina, her sound, her lyrics, the story she was trying to tell and the FEELING, EMOTION we get from her singing and from this song. Your channel, your choices. Respectfully, would request you do an actual reaction to the song and the artist now that you got your lamenting out. Put up another video, why not?
I understand that you have found a practical solution to a serious problem, what I might suggest is that there are other solutions used by long lived 'reactors' that give a different (I might say a better) audience experience. Whatever you do, stay careful.
Angelina attracts people who are a little more musically knowledgeable. So we enjoy your musical analysis. However you did waffle a little bit about your editing process 😊. However I will watch your next reaction. Because I generally enjoy your content 😊
