I really love that "rehearsal" video with Staffon William-Olsson. They are just fooling around waiting to go on stage for one of her Christmas tours of Norwegian churches. Staffon isn't even the pianist for this band, he's the guitarist. She is so relaxed fooling around & able to add that high note out of nowhere. I really wish she would leave that in her official versions, it's just beautiful.

Thanks for all the background info. When I was a kid, in the late 1950's in Sydney Australia, I always watched a weekly TV show called "Walt Disney's Disneyland" and this song was always in the opening credits. Angelina sang it beautifully.

Very nice compilation especially for a Swede as I am. In a norwegian TV-interview she used the swedish word "jultomten" for Sancta Claus. Her mother corrected her - " julenissen". As you know her father is a Swede.

This encourages me to ask you to feature more of Angelina's performances on your channel, even though you are reluctant to do so because you have watched and listened to them and consider they would not be "reactions" in the meaning of the word. Tusen tack. Who would have thought that Jiminy Cricket introduced the Swedes to "When You Wish Upon a Star." Your intro was ingenious. It recalled fond memories for my spouse. Also, Angelina might like Cliff Edwards for he was known as an early jazz-scat singer, who my father listened to in his youth. Jiminy Cricket earned "When You Wish..." the Academy Award for the "Best Song." in the 1939-40 Walt Disney full-length, annimated film "Pinocchio."

I sub'd . Great reaction! We here in Norway also have a tradition with Disney and Jimmy Gresshoppe.. As a child I used to watch both Swedish TV and Norwegian TV (all year) and SVT and NRK never collided on their time of broadcasting.. so I got double up of Disney at Christmas. Yes, this song is tradition and sentimental to us and Angelina always make a song her own, and give me goosebumps every time.

I vaguely remember seeing that Disney show (introduced by Jiminy Cricket) more than 50 years ago. I would have loved to have been at her Christmas party.

That beautiful tone seem so effortless, the different phrasing shows her sense of rythm, tho i whish they slowed down the tempo and let her notes ring a little bit longer.

Pontus, I am from the USA and I thank you so much for your comments to this video and your story. I have seen both video's several times but, in true Angelina style, she warms my heart every time. Pontus, she is bringing so many of us together in this troubling world when we need it the most. I include myself when I know she has comforted so many, many people (millions?) with her voice. And, when we find out what a wonderful human being she is, well, what can I say? I just subscribed. Pontus, you and all our friends in Sweden, please exercise caution during the winter months. The vaccines are just around the corner and I have faith in the medical teams and science that the vaccines will be safe.

She can "imitate" any singer with her voice, imitating means having the ability to "absorb" from said singer colors, textures, musical smells, feelings, that's why I say that Freddie Mercury could only be Freddie Mercury but not Amy's textures Whinehuse or Elvis Presley and so vice versa. There is no singer of today, famous (Adele, etc) or in musical growth who has this capacity 2) humility. Absolutely all the singers at this moment personify the music, they create a show of everything they do, instead Angelina seems like a teenager who is continuously learning, practicing. How long is she going to practice? I don't know ... when she presents videos on RU-vid and fans or haters admire or criticize they don't understand that she is only practicing, she is a girl who practices music, nothing more than that. How to achieve this? making the important thing is the dimensionality of the song, a singer whose purpose is to teach that singing is not a gymnastics, singing is not an Olympic vocal chord tournament, music is not a stage show: MUSIC IS SIMPLY ONE BEAUTIFUL SONG TO SHARE.
