This is a tribute to Freddie Mercury - when Angelina had just turned 13. She sings this close to the original style. She clearly understands the story behind the song, at this stage Freddie was dying of Aids, but he wanted to continue performing - he didn't want anyone to know, he wore lots of makeup to hide his appearance (hence the mask) - in fact there was a mask in the Queen official video. I think Angelina prefers a song that has a strong story line, and here she delivers it with great passion and emotion. I can't understand why this video on her cover channel has only a little over 1 million views...

She's amazing at that age, she sits and quietly sings a song like this, of this power and makes a wonderful tribute to Freddie Mercury, with the symbolic opening with her wearing the mask that symbolizes the necessity of the definition on reality and closing with the last high that plays in the dark. Death is a sudden interruption of the show, this is what the abrupt end of the recording wants to communicate ... Angelina manages to give the songs she plays an absolutely unique meaning and she does it with such grace, intelligence and passion that I can no longer detach myself from them.❤️ 😊

Because she is contractually bound now to work through the auspices of Republic, regardless of how much artistic leeway they are giving her, collaboration would have to be approved. Freddie had an abstract vest similar to this mask and the clothes she wore Bohemian Rhapsody. By the way, her grandmother painted the fabric and Angelina sewed her clothes together.

Hey Omeezy, I went to check out your playlist for Angelina. I didn't realize you have been on this AJ train since last April!! So I binge watched all, and there's a lot, until around October when I discovered AJ and have seen all your reactions since then.(I "liked" all btw) All of your reactions have been respectful to Angelina as well as your audience and I totally admire you for that. The reactions were also well thought out with a good musical sense. A few I didn't see a reaction to were "Young and Beautiful" Lana Del Rey, Nothing Breaks Like A Heart Miley Cyrus and an original song written for her is an EDM composition "Above the Water". Every Norwegian school child makes these paper mache masks. The Norwegian version of "keeping a stiff upper lip" - to hide any problems so your nabours, friends and even family doesn't notice, is called "to keep your mask on". Whatever bad things happens to you, don't display it.. "the show must go on".. That's all. She was a young girl here, she was being dramatic :-)

I think your suggestion of her leading a carefully selected band would be a good direction for her. Gives her control of the music, and a stable performing environment for concert tours to get her out to the masses. She has the voice for it, no effects needed, and it likely wouldn't even consume much of her time since she needs so little preparation for superb productions. Also she seems to like and thrive on the feedback of live performance. I think it would be really interesting to hear what might come of a collaboration of her and a rapper like yourself. JazzRap?
I've followed Angelina since she first showed herself on Norways got talent and fell in love with her. She a!ways amazes me. Question for you, what is the stone you are wearing around your neck. I'm a collector of stones and wear then all the time.
Nice reaction. I see the mask and her recording contract has been addressed by others. While the original is a classic and, I believe Freddie's last, I think Angelina puts more heart and soul into it. I'd love to see her do it with a band instead of a karaoke track. (if you really listen to Angie's skill in this song you'll catch something mind blowing, her audio tension on her arrangement is so far off the charts for her at 13 it's amazing. Even as a pro singer that would still be considered amazing.) I hope you can get a chance to do at lease do 1 song with her or write a song & she if they'll give it to her to try. (remember a lot of people & artist want that same thing, for they know it will help their careers for they see she's a force to be reckoned with. You can tell that eventually even the biggest names in the industry will want the same thing. (remember she turned down 90% of the industry's production co. even Disney too.) The mask maybe her own art work, or the work of her Grandmother, who is a respected artist and mentor of Angelina’s. Do you know Angelina’s manager is her Mom’s brother, so her uncle. I thought I heard Angelina will be in Norway soon to give 2-3 concerts. Maybe, fly to Norway when she performs there!?!

thanks for your reaction video. personally, I also like her rendition better than the original in terms of voice and interpretation. Of course the audio quality is lacking since she just recorded herself at home and at some point she was a tad off-beat, but it's extremely hard to be exactly on the beat when you just sing to a backtrack like this in one take without any post corrections. Anyway, her talent at such a young age can't be denied.
good reaction i grew up listening to queen and freddie mercury was an incredible singer one of the best but i hate to say it i prefer to hear angelina singing this song as i do with most of her covers she just has such a versatile/rich/soulful voice and connects with the story of the songs she sings no matter the song.
I guess you are part of a line my friend, containing people wanting to work with this amazing musical wonder in this world. So maybe not the easiest task, but as Angelina herself say; "- you should never give up hope". Noboby knows what tomorrow brings. Her newest release is a cae in point. 7th Heaven is a direct referral to the highest level of "Heavenly" attainment. Her grandmother "Mery" is Iranian and I have an inkling that she was raised under Islam. That would lead me to think that Angelina ha some deep rooted connections along those lines BTW, will you be posting a reaction to 7th Heaven? It's some lyrics along the line I mentioned to YOU, for a "Rap" that she might consider doing a cover of.
Just my opinion, but I think it crosses a line. It is of course, up to you. Getting Angelina to do a cover of your work would be huge. Try writing a Rap with "her" in mind. Nevermind her "covers" lok only at her original works. For some insight. I'm on your side, getting her to even notice you is a challenge in itself. You can see what her Influences are. By listening to her. You'll have to become, one of those influences.

She is a great singer, but I cannot agree that she does a better job than Freddie here. I liked her rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" (really made it her own), but this one is nowhere near Freddie and the emotion just isn't there. Having said that, she is a kid and it would be foolish to expect a similar vibe from her and a rock legend.
