This is simply Tom Delonge at his best, this is what he does best "Melodic" music!!!!

In my opinion, this is one of the best AvA songs yet. Absolutely love it!

Just went to the AvA concert in Maryland, I cried, listening to Tom before I was even born (my mom listened to AvA while she was pregnant with me). This is and forever will be amazing! L 🌙 V E you AvA!!

I truly believe ava's music as a whole is music one should give time to appreciate and to understand the lyrics 100%. I still listen to the first two albums and think "fuck... why didn't I hear this before?" Tom is a poetic genius.

Within the pantheon of male rock vocal performances, voices like Phil Collins, Lajon Witherspoon, Steven Tyler, Freddie Mercury, and Rob Halford, Tom DeLonge may seem like the odd person out. But I believe he belongs in that company, because he RARELY gets the praise for his vocal prowess as I believe he should. Angels and Airwaves changed my life when WDNTW was released. Eleven years later, they're still doing it.

I’ve been an AVA fan since I was just a kid and this song came out my senior year of high school - I remember getting high and listening to this is and feeling almost euphoric. I’m 25 now. Time flies

I don't ever comment on anything, but this has been my favorite band since I was 12 in 2005. This is the first song in a long time that has brought me back to those days. I almost want to cry. It's so perfect. Thank you Tom.

I think Tom has done very well with this EP. Each track hints at so much of his previous work, but everything still has a fresh twist to it. In the middle 2 tracks, I can hear little riffs and hooks and sounds that remind me of I-Empire & Love I & II. Overload has suggestions of what could have been a blink song, and Chasing Shadows is the masterpiece; it is produced and layered similarly to Dream Walker and ...Of Nightmares, but also sounds like something how WDNTW would have sounded if it was written today. You can see how so many of his fans will fall in love with it. I'm a die hard blink fan before any other group/side project or other, and as much as it sucks to see and to know they'll never be the same again, the last 3 pieces Tom has put out has shown serious maturation, progression and ambition. We may not have seen anything like it if he really was unhappy in blink. I think Neighborhoods gets unfair press, I think it's very underrated, and Dogs Eating Dogs was a welcome bonus

This is the most mainstream track and would be the hypothetical "single", I think. Gorgeous song. I'd like to hear Tom take a stab at the chorus in a live performance, though. The melody and cadence are very tenacious. Love it.

Someone said this song is actually about tom search for aliens and it makes sense. Digging in the shadows (aliens are real but invisible because they choose not to be seen (yet). The gallows that he chose is the choice to leave blink and upset his fan base. He’s a new person the day he met her (the day he started the journey of searching for the truth).

people say tom delonge has left behind blink 182 because he hated them, OR hear me out, possibly because he felt deeper meaning in his music and he just matured much more and faster and just needed time to do what he feels. people chanel and grow up, it's life. I love you tom, you're my hero mr. delonge. I was always on your side with your projects and music. because you're being you and I wasn't accepted in middle school or my first year high school (almost in my 3rd) so I can understand where you are coming from with these people jumping off the wave along with you
