At age 43 after being friends with a girl I had a crush on since high school, I've been spending more and more time with her just as a friend. I've talked her through two abusive ex-boyfriends who physically abused her and helped her get rid of them only because that was her choice. Now she's planning all kinds of trips and things for us to do together. If things go as well as they have been, I'm going to finally let her know I like her as more than a friend. I hope it goes well. She has dropped a lot of hints, but I haven't told her or made a move while she was going through her crazy exes. I feel like she could be the one. I hope she feels the same.

This speech is so true. The date thing is true and right before he sings the greatest love song ever written he talks about love. You stare at that stupid phone for hours on in. Then the second she calls you answer as if you haven't been waiting on it. You wonder if she feels the same. She does just ask. There is someone out there who feels just like me, There Is.

I love how the crowd starts singing at 3:53. It must be an amazing feeling having that many people memorize and sing words that YOU wrote and have your words touch that many people. Tom is fucking awesome.
