cw: vent, religious trauma, but also very much related to the animation This spoke to my goddamn soul. Especially the first sequence, but also everything. Well, except for the friend part. I don’t have any friends atm (can’t have em hatin if you ain’t got none of em 😩 lmfao) There’s so much shit going on that sometimes, most times, I can’t help but feel…helpless. Resigned. But we keep pushing anyways, however we can…or at least I’d want to. And the thing about vague not-so-vague shade on religion, Christianity in particular, is so true, too. Sometimes, I feel so helpless and tired that I wanna believe there’s a miracle solution to it all, like a savior, like a God. And that maybe our lives on Earth really doesn’t matter, since we’re either going to hell or heaven anyways. And if you’re lucky, if you’re “good” and “acceptable” enough, you can go to paradise. And for a very short moment, I’m tempted to go back into being a believer… But then I remember the damage that it’s done to me, that they’ve done to me. And how people _like me_ aren’t accepted _there,_ and how my ideals do not match with theirs, to say the least. And how, instead of saving me, it just pushed my 12-year-old kid self into a spiral of paranoia and anxiety that I will die and then suffer forever for being human, for doing human things, for merely existing as I am, for things that were way out of my responsibility or control, for clueless naive Adam and Eve eating that goddamn fruit and God blaming them for it, as if they literally hadn’t been born yesterday before that. If God was real, I’d wanna kill him with my own hands. But I don’t think he is. I no longer think so, at least. And there’s no “miracle solution” to everything. And our lives on Earth *does* matter, everyone’s does. There’s no use in waiting for paradise, we have to change things ourselves, in the space we all exist in, the space we all occupy. Very easy to say, much harder to do. But we have to anyway. We have to at least try, in our own little ways. I have to believe we can change things that way. I have to believe there’s a better future out there. Maybe in that way, in my own way, I’m a believer, too. If I can’t have faith in a God, then maybe I can have faith in ourselves, in humanity.
