Angels Landing 2023. Zion National Park

This is our experience of hiking to the top of Angels Landing in Zion National Park, Utah. For the week leading up to the hike, we had been on many high ledges such as Colorado National Monument N.P., Arches N.P., Bryce Canyon N.P., bike riding ridgelines in Fruita, Co and Dead Horse Point in Moab, Utah. So we sort of became acclimated to high places. The hike up to Angels was incredible for it's beauty and views and amazing that they let just about anyone hike up there. While there were a few minor slips etc, there was nothing really to cause us vertigo or paralyzing fear. After the vigorous hike up the trail to scouts landing, the chains section was actually like a welcome change of pace and re-invigorated us. Our hike started at noon.

@@traveladventureswithTinaRico not yet. But we scored the lottery for 6/5. I am a little scared of heights but will definitely give it a try since I am very experienced hiker.

Great video! Awesome job by you both! My wife and I were there in Oct 2023 but only made it to Scouts Lookout since we didn't have a permit for AL. Safe travels from RI!

Thank you so much! We were so happy we spent the time to get the tickets in advance. The whole adventure was so much fun. I definitely recommend getting to Angels landing next time you go there. We still have RI on our list of places to go for adventures.

@@traveladventureswithTinaRico there's no way! I'm deathly afraid of heights and don't have the balance. I tripped on a small rock on the bank of the Virgin River and scraped up my knee. 😖 That's about as adventurous as it gets for me!

Good grief the drop offs would swallow me up my vertigo is so bad. I'd just look out over the first of them and fall forward into the picturesque abyss. I so admire people who can do this and get those views. You have definitely earned the right to look out on such unadulterated beauty. Well done to all of you.

Thank you so much for the kind comments. We were surprised at how comfortable we felt doing the climb. We weren't sure we could actually do it until we got there and didn't feel any hesitation.
