FYI Angels Landing is super chill! If you’re thinking about it, you should totally do it! Don’t let the other RU-vid videos scare you. 😅. Also don’t fall for those stupid spam comments.
I hiked it this past April. The permit system is seriously flawed. Long story short, I went into the canyon on the frist shuttle of the day. Then I just poached it. To bad the National parks made me feel like a criminal. I drove out there from Vermont I was not going to be denied. Glad I went to Zion, but never again. Way to many people for this Vermonter.
I've been really stuck in my life at the moment and just wanted to let you guys know that these videos give me hope that I can get to a place where I can live the life I want. So thankyou.
I made my wife hike up there a few years ago to propose to her. She hated and loved it. I bet it’s nowhere near as crowded as it used to be before the permit system. Glad you two got to see it!
So glad you guys got to experience Zion! My first time there was in March so probably similar conditions. I also went in with no expectations or knowledge about the park other than Angel's Landing. I don't think there is a single picture out there that can prepare you for what you'll see coming out of that tunnel from the east entrance. It's just absolutely unreal. We arrived in the late afternoon and it had been cloudy and raining. But the sun decided to make an appearance and the lighting was just something else. I will never forget that first drive into the park.
Thanks for sharing. Hazel looks so chill as you guys are gearing up. This really gives the experience of being on the rock, another great story told! I also like the “old school 8mm treatment “ to those sections too. Very endearing!
We really loved Zion, such a beautiful place to explore. Nothing is ever what you expect it’s certainly important to get out there and experience as much as you can in person but it’s nice to be able to have video since we aren’t able to do everything. Beautiful work!!
Jazz hands!!!! Lmfao!!! I can’t stop laughing!!! Zion is soo on my list. Have you guys been to City of Rocks Nat’l Reserve in Idaho? It’s about 7 hours from Minden. I’m not a climber but I visited a few weeks ago. Cool place. Gotta stop at the Alamo Outpost Steakhouse. Great burgers. Thanks for another great vid!!
Beautiful imagery and great storytelling, as always.✨ I love how you guys create videos with a slightly different mood sometimes, some of them are more "adventurous" and some of them are more "chilled and relexed" and I assume that reflects the mood you were in when you created the video. It feels so authentic, love it! You are a huge inspiration guys, keep live your life to the fullest and keep sharing your great Art with us❤️
We are in the process of living a life of simplicity and I think our videos are starting to reflect that mindset😊 Thanks for noticing and as always, thanks for watching! -V
Zion NP is one of my favorite places on earth! I spent a summer working in Kanab, Utah several years ago and would drive up to the park quite often on my days off. This is so beautifully put together! Excited to have just discovered your channel 😊
Climbing in the cold! I bet that's rough. Hopefully you work up a sweat enough to warm up. I like hiking in the cold but biking in it not as much, I never seem to warm up. I couldn't imagine climbing. Nice video!
Went this past April. So over run with people, looks like you picked the right time of year. I'll never go back way to many people. Nice job on the timing.
Amazing cody and victoria , your life style is so inspiring :D BTW, which luts from your slog 3 package is it ? :D and do you use phantom LUTS to convert to rec 709 ? Thanks one more subscriber for you
Hey Cody! loved the video. I'm actually going to angels landing for my bachelors trip and wanted to make a video out of it. How were you able to bring your camera to the hike?
you guys should put window covers up when you bring hazel to NP’s- usually they’re pretty strict about leaving your pet in the car despite any type of weather and can fine you for it! just a heads up :)
Killer video as always guys 🤘 Dunno if you’re still in Utah, but you should definitely check out Bryce Canyon too. Not really much climbing, but the views are pretty spectacular. Let me know if you want any recommendations, I’m a born and raised Utah native. Always happy to have people come and enjoy our parks/outdoors for the first time. There’s a lot of magic places here
Greetings from Canada. My wife and I did Angels Landing in March 2019 when we were in our mid 60's. We didn't need a permit, we just got up really early and cycled up the road from our campsite. When we went here was a LOT more people up there compared to what you've shown especially when we were on our way down. I'd really like to know the time frame of your videos, we always camp in the off season so it would be nice to where to go and at what time of year too.
So beautiful video. Seems like u stopped taking photos on Sony and fell in love with Fujifilm? Have you thought about for example a Sony FX3 for even better video?
I know nothing about climbing, but it appears that in some places someone has already drilled in “bolts” that you can hook to? All you have to do is trust them?
