I think my favorite part of this review already is the fact that not only is angerfoot getting a purchase, but the first game is too because adorable cozy city building type things are a mood

This game defied my expectations a bit. I thought it would be relatively simple, much shorter and wouldn't be this smart. Things like the changing city for example. I also appreciate a lot that it is not timed. Edit: I hope their launch went well, i have a feeling this will be one of the underappreciated gems, because it has individuality.
Yeah it has a lot more going for it then what I expected as well, was taken by surprise in a very positive spirit on this one :D I think your extremely right when it comes to this ending up being underappreciated, unfortunately :/
This is a real footin' fun lookin game. I like how it has sneakerhead culture as part of the opening 'plot' and i think that's the only time Ive seen it mentioned in a game. But watching the stream yesterday, this game has a lot more to offer than just references to obscure subcultures. The physics and interactivity look well considered, seeing you kick a dude into another only to see him gib instantly and kicking a lightbulb, then seeing little shards of glass twinkle away seem like details that reward continued play. And like you said, when a game is hard to describe but is compelling enough to recommend to others, that's a game I can put on my radar. One last random thought: the animation of the in-game map/level select is so cozy. Seeing the l'il cars stuck in traffic for example was adorable!
Yeah the physics really takes the satisfaction of the game to a new level, even in a room to room game like this that goes by fast. :D The level select absolute chefs kiss! :D
I Really liked the Demo! And what i see so far i think i will Love the Full game!🤘🦶 only the music is not my cup of tea! but i can overlook that in an otherwise good game! Next time i hope they use Gutalax for the Music😜
Looks cool and i like the art style. It's just coming out at a wrong time for me. Just bought a dozen of games cause of steam summer sale! it's on my wishlist now tho! haha
You can never tell with indie shooters anymore, it seems as though any of them with polish are critically acclaimed to the high heavens. I enjoyed the demo, but I thought it controlled a bit sluggishly. A bit unresponsive. But still fun. Seemed like a good $10, maybe $15 kind of game. $25 seems a bit steep to me personally. I'll get it when it's like $8 maybe. Same with Mullet MadJack. Like it's fun and polished, but then you realize 15 minutes later that you've played the whole game, and it's mostly spectacle and fairly shallow. The different shoes do look interesting though, I'll give it that.
This one compared to mullet has 4 different distinct enviroments, lots of middle sections, the shoes, different weapons, longer and shorter levels and so on. Its well deserving to be praised just as mullet as it absolutley nails what it sets out to do with really high quality, which is not something to take for granted :)
