Angerfist, official the king of hardcore. no doubt about it. Great mainstream tracks, Dark 'n Hard industrial/underground Tracks... and Masterpieces. I still thank my friend who once said to me: "listen to angerfist - megamix" 5 years ago.
@Tim D - Thanks for sharing your story that 1 video... Angerfist - Megamix... made you listen to hardcore from 2008-2013[-2023], that's the power of sharing a video.. Hm, I wouldn't pick that 1, although it worked 4u. These days, Angerfist has improved his arsenal, i.e. the " What Happened " music video in his official channel, which is a really top notch M/V. I'm also switching some people from 'crap music they pretend to like' to hardcore, however my choice of M/V is " Ophidian - Electric Resonance ", as that video & music is 'pure' hardcore, which captures 27,000 audience sizes with extreme passion, too. I'm not 'criticizing'; however Angerfist & Tha Playah are not pure hardcore, as Angerfist leans towards American ghetto style recently, and Tha Playah has a sensitive talent in finding vocals to sample [which is ok.. it's just his style becomes 'opera-hardcore' or 'female-vocal-hardcore' Etc.]。✔✔
I enjoy chilling to dubstep and trance just as much as I enjoy blastin Angerfist through the neighbourhood... A genre is just a name, it doesn't change what the music is about, it doesn't change it's sound, it doesn't change the feeling or meaning. It's a label that we slap onto a piece of art to categorize it with pieces that share certain similarities. Music is about sharing a feeling, not starting a clan war.
Most brilliant thing Will Smith has ever said combined with this sound... Now I can listen to life motivation and Hardcore simultaneously Deep respect for this!
Seconded. I love how this track is more melodic than their older stuff. I usually listen to Japanese instead of Dutch gabber for this reason, but now I see Angerfist is trying the melodic route, mad props for that.
many also know a lot of other dj's and producers than the above mentioned - but still prefer / enjoy listening to Angerfist?! Been into Hardcore for the past 7 year, but I still enjoy Angerfist's tracks. It's a matter of taste - Good or bad. never the less taste can't be argued or discussed. It's individual. Some people like black some like red. Why Question that?
I'am totally agree whit you. The history of hardcore is always the same: someone create the new step, and most of other follow that step. Angerfist whit Mutilate was one who create a new step. But he stuck on that step.
