vuaeco yup. Alexander and phasha(kreosan) is very creative guys, i highly support them. But please don't compare one another. Why not just complement them both? There's no better person in terms of creative entertainer/maker. Kreosan is a great channel, so does a king of random.
As owner of 1000w brushless e bike I do know how great it can be. 62km/h, wind in the hair and virtually silent. :p mine doesn't blow flames though. Nice work.
CME what are you doing watching an EV video then? Been there done that with motorbikes and cars. There are EV's now with up to 1 megawatt of power that would suck the doors of your car at the lights/track. Get used to it, as battery/motor tech improves you will be left further behind whether you like it or not.
It would also be a bit more tricky to get a speed controller for dc, of couse they could get one off of a cordless drill, but it probably wouldn't be able to hold up to a large amount of current draw for extended periods of time.
Since it is a brushed motor, get more batteries and run it using a speed controller and get rid of the inverter. It will be more efficient and you'll go farther per charge.
LOL!! nice idea. This shown how noisy an angle grinder is, compared to what a typical electric motor needs to be. Thats due to the gear that allows the disc to be turned at a 90 degree angle compared to the motor shaft. Also - you get pretty big power losses by putting a small roller against the tire that way (it creates a lot of friction). But anyway - a nice simple and cheap way to build an electric bike, that perform a lot better than the legal ones we can buy here in Europe :)
I had the same ideea two years ago. 👍:)) but wanted to use chain for driving the wheels.. and bateryes like the ones in the UPS.. Back then I also discovered an angle grinder can be used as a generator... you can test that by connecting a 100w bulb to the terminals of the grinder and use a drill to turn it in the Opposite! way it's turning when normal powered. So an angle grinder can also be used as an emergency generator.. and for the the electric bike I think with some modifications it can be used for regenerative braking and recharging the battery when going downhill.
Weld a sprocket on the other side of the rear wheel and have it chain driven so it's not scrubbing the rear tyre. It will get more from the batteries because there's not slip and if the sprocket has a freewheeling ratchet on it if or when it runs out of power it's not as difficult to pedal. Really cool idea and creative build. Good video.
I want to build about a 2000-3000 watt e bike. I can't peddle a bike. so I need power. with about 50ah lithium batts. at between 48&72 volts. but that's a dream. I don't think I'm gonna put my grinder on my bike. I have 250watt 350watt and 500 watt e scooter motors. I may use those.
If you use a galaxy battery it’s going to heat up and blow up and if you use an iPhone battery the battery won’t stay charged long(coming from a iPhone user) I was just kidding but please go ahead and comment something if you just need to.
kinda dangerous. but the motor can be used to power a home made go cart or cargo bike. i suggest or wish you create one, with your great and wonderful skills and talent. love to see all your inventions. may i know the technical specs for the battery power. i myself was thinking of using a grider as motor but the horsepower needs to be controlled I love what youndid for the speed controller, also for the grass cutter, may i know the design specs. I dont have the necessary equipment, tools, skills and funding. so far im gathering some info to get some ideas. love it love it loveit.

Great ebike. I'm going to do this. But my side grinder motor will run off dc power so i will try it with my 20 volt cordless drill battery. I tried my battery on a kids electric jeep and it runs better and faster than on a 12v ebike battery. I can eliminate the inverter this way.

Do not be stupid, wear full face shield with angle grinder, not just goggles. You greatly underestimate the force of a flying cutting disc. In fact, wearing a helmet while angle grinding seems a little stupid lol
battery way too small ... 10 minutes the most ?? , inverter efficiency loss it will kill that battery in a few minutes ,, why not rewind the motor for 12 or 24 volts and then drive direct from battery ??
Get a bike with gears and take pedals off and attach a drill to the side opposite of the chain...where the pedal was...and u will have gears ....you will keep up with cars on the highway if you use a powerful drill

It's working but too noisy using drill or grinder, also slippery when wet the contact of motor to rubber, much better to convert it to a sprocket or gear type its a sure grip.. but nice video
Couldn't you just use a speed controller or like a dimmer switch an then you can connect it to the rear wheel an get something with back spin so you can coast drive it with the gears

My electric front hub motor bike is quite smoother and better looking than your Frankenstein bike. Your so skinny when is the last time you ate a meal.
the motor will run on dc power so you can eliminate the inverter and rewire the battery for higher voltage. also makes your cables thinner and easy to route.
A all in one bike grinder generator etc. All the plans are right here. Go to the junk drawer. Get a bunch of cell batts a cheap inverter a grinder and a old bike.
You can just calculate the speed without messing up your bike tire. Circumference multiplied by rpm.. then you got centimeters/minute. Just convert that to km/h. And i think you’re putting more energy in burning your tire away than in the forwards motion.
Alex and crew I love this video. I love it so much I have retired an old work grinder and found a bike on the side of the road. Now for the question I have about 40 Remote Control Airplane batteries 3s and 2s. My question is can I combine them all and use an inverter to run my grinder, a es battery is 11.1 volts and a 2s is only 7.4 volts, so I dont know how I would get them to work in series to complete the project. I would love your help as I love you crazy guys. Thanks in hopeful advance from anyone who contributes. And I will post a video of build a death defying stunts if we can work it out.
