ive used the first disc demonstration with label facing upwards with no problems in 40 years , i prefer tightening down on top of the metal ring not the disc

Don't even use a cut wheel to begin with, use a thin diamond/carbide wheel like bosch carbide multi wheel And use a grinder with speed control, thr angle grinder is way too fast for some tasks

It doesn't matter how the front or back of the cutting disc is mounted. If there was a difference, it would certainly be noted on the disc.
