Seriously! I watch them through RU-vid on my tv but took time out to open up this online to leave them the same comment. France 24 used to cover African events more than most but they barely do now since their pulling out of Africa policy (but I also doubt their coverage more now seeing How the cover the hamas was ). Looks like DW is the only one left now that takes time to cover important world wide stuff and is careful not to spread misinformation while doing that

DW is purposely spreading misinformation because the EU supports the puppet dictator that is Paul Biya. First of all the war is not about languages, Ambazonia was an independent nation before being forcefully annexed by Cameroon with the help of France. We have a completely different constitution, different laws & a different education system. We are just trying to regain our independence after being ruled by 2 dictators in the span of 60 years. The current president of Cameroon is loved by France, Switzerland & the EU so he’s been allowed to be dictator for the past 40 years without the so called democratic west bothering him. Secondly this atrocity was not commited by the Ambazonian militias. The atrocity was committed by Cameroons army, they have been responsible for multiple atrocities in the past, one of them called “Ngarbuh massacre” in which Cameroonian military & supporting militias gunned down children. Cameroon & the EU will go at any lengths to keep Ambazonia from seceding because they’re desperate for control of Cameroon & it’s resources

As a fellow Filipino it’s shocking to see that when 2017 a massive shift for federalism happened which was to solve the heartaches of regions in the Philippines is still being put on hold, areas like Ambazonia or Catalonia declared independence knowing that even a federal structure won’t heal wounds that have happened… it’s 2023 and the fact the Philippines cannot give full on autonomy to regions is mind bogglingly incompetent.

@martin-paul-samba
@martin-paul-samba 10 месяцев назад
Just to be clear, it’s not a clash between Anglophone and Francophone Cameroonians. That will never happen. It’s a fight between Anglophone separatists and a corrupt, brutal, incompetent government that harms all Cameroonians. Granted, the government is dominated by Francophones, so is the army. But there are Anglophones in key positions including Prime Minister, Army Generals, etc. The vast majority of the population doesn’t partake in the conflict in any way - and that’s certainly a problem too. Widespread indifference might be the reason why the government is not trying hard enough to come up with a political solution.

Many fellow Indians also make the same mistake of giving importance of a non "foreign" language on the basis of not being "foreign", and then trying to make or "impose" Hindi over English as the common language of India on multiple different linguistic regions (incl my own Bengal). The essense or rather more immediate cause of the conflict of interest is that it is about the language which you're stronger in, vs a different language which the "imposing" majority (in this case, Francophones) is comparatively stronger in, and then making it an uneven playing field.

DW Thanks for covering our country news . It's 7 years now and more and the crisis keep increasing. The government is taking no serious measures to harness the situation and the worst of it is opportunist have set in. Most of the terror acts happening are cause by both parties and the poor are the once suffering. The government and all of us Cameroonians have to stand and condern evil deeds at all cost

DW Africa get their information from the perpetrators which is Cameroon government and their military. And also a DW journalist who is from french Cameroon called Mimi info those are their only sources of information because Cameroon government controls and restrict internal media and even humanitarian organisations from accessing the conflict zones. Cameroon 🇨🇲 military have created a militia on the ground who work with them and operate just like the Ambazonia freedom fighters. Their assignment is to kill rape, burn down homes of Southern Cameroonians (anglophones) how they like to call us, and then blame it on separatist, so that the people of this area will turn against the struggle for freedom and get the international community see Ambazonia freedom fighters as terrorist. That’s the reality DW fail to report. This is not the first massacre that our people have been killed in this gruesome way and it will not be the last. Cameroon 🇨🇲 government is evil and wicked

This has been going on for over 8years both the Army and rebels are to blame. There is zero trust of the police (armed force in general) who have been involved in kidnappings, theft, defamation, violation of human rights, village burnings, mass murder, etc. There is also a total dread of the Rebels who have resorted to kidnappings, theft, village burnings, mass murder etc. Under normal circumstances the Rebels (amba fighters) are terrorists but so are the armed forces (or those above them) we ( most Anglophones) can't condemn them since these terrorists are the only weapon we have against oppress, discrimination, repression, etc of french Cameroon.

Greetings, DW please, your reporter is very bias in his reporting. If he's from Cameroon, he should know the modus operandi of the Cameroon government forces. They are camped 5 minutes from the venue of the incident. If it were the separatists, they would have intervened. Besides, the separatists in the area couldn't kill families indiscriminately including their loved ones. Eye witnesses testify seeing Cameroonian forces pull off the road a few meters away from the crime scenes to change their gears and look. Like separatists fighters. How investigation has he made to make that conclusion?

Blaise Ayong, you and your agency are reporting falsehood about what transpired in Mamfe on November 6, 2023. If not, please share evidence of any report of fact-finding you or your agency conducted, which concludes that nonstandard armed groups are responsible for the massacre in Mamfe on November 6, 2023.

Republic of Cameroun deceived the world that Ambazonia is part of Cameroun. 1st January 1960 was the independence of Cameroun and 1st October 1961 was the independence of Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia). Can one country have two dates of independence? Ask United Nations to tell the truth.

One of Southern Cameroon's greatest mistakes was choosing to join La République du Cameroun instead of Nigeria in the 1961 plebiscite. Nigeria may have its issues, but Southern Cameroonians certainly would not have been harassed in the present manner if their region had become part of Nigeria.

When Cameroon military disguised as separatists and go after the very people who our brothers and sisters of what you called separatists then you turn around to report wrong information. How on earth do think that villagers can attacked members of their own village, false reports.

Their is no strategic economic interest among African leaders to side with Amazonia. If they are able to cease vital economic resources and control it then the ground would probably shift. For now, the separatist must hope and plan for a change of fortune.
