Angry Birds Remake: Everything Wrong 

As happy as we were when Rovio announced them bringing back Angry Birds, I was incredibly disappointed by what we got. When we asked to bring back 2012, we didn’t mean the way the game was back then. I don’t see why they could not just ad back all the missing content.

One point you forgot to add: In the OG version if you dropped matilda's egg on birds (both alive or carcass) the egg would bounce off on these birds unexploded but in the remake this is no longer true the egg explodes when it touches birds too

the game has the potential to be accepted back by the Angry Birds community, I particularly like it despite the many errors it has. When the game has most of these things mentioned in the video already resolved, I'm sure that later it can be really deserved to be a fair purchase to all people

Instead of removing the 2009 sprites they should have it in the settings so you can toggle them on and off even while playing a level heck they could have you choose what birds/pigs could have what sprites!

Another error is that when you were to launch a bird who has touched a bigger bird or the ground, they’ll turn into their corpses when you launch them, but still activate their abilities somehow. This is not the case for Bomb, Terence, Bubbles, or Stella because none of them have corpse sprites. What else? Well, if you activate a bird’s ability or when it collides with something, it stops making its flying sound for whatever reason. Oh, I almost forgot! The pigs don’t make their damage sounds (piglette damage a1-a8) when popped or hit by a bird. Instead, they make their collision sounds (piglette collision a1-a8). Aren’t those the sounds for when the pigs collide with the grounds or blocks?

With all the major problems not being fixed, I’m genuinely scared if they decide to remake another game, I think it’s clear to me now that rovio put very little effort into this game to make it superior to the original, and the result is essentially sonic origins, so imagine if the team remakes angry birds space or seasons, we’re screwed.

I was doing a 3-star 100% run for the game and when I got to level 17-4. I was unable to 3-star the level properly since Hals boomerang worked different. I litterally had to cheat the score by throwing Hal at the structures as if he was Red.

Honestly, I think someone could have the potential to mod Angry Birds Friends into another classic game. Because if that's what this RC:AB is based off, then what's stopping people with modding knowledge from making Seasons or other Classic episodes?

Did you mention that during a golden egg level complete the high score sound and Star noise is fused which isn’t in reloaded either

A big complaint I have is that some of the levels are WAY too hard or next to nothing impossible to get 3 stars

Oh hey! Another Angry Birds fan who uses Thomas music 🤟 I agree with your in-depth points. There are plenty of simple housekeeping things that need to be solved. With how Rovio is retuening to their roots like with plushes, hopefully they'll improve the reason of their success.

It really makes me wonder if any future AB games will implement these same tactics using old parts from other games. To me, this whole #BringBack2012 movement by Rovio so far has been nothing short of a letdown. To be fair, times have changed and the developers have changed in the office, but the narratives have drastically shifted as we the fans are the ones that now have more of a voice than the company itself. It's like being a New York Mets fan, but the fans are critquing a mobile game company instead.

Someone finally talks about the flying birds not making sound in the main menu when you tap them. I always loved that feature in the og game as an Easter egg. The biggest issue on the remake is that the birds are weaker and the pigs are stronger.

I really hope this issues get fixed in the future...

Great video! I unfortunately doubt we'll be getting anymore updates for the game as they've basically said it's not profitable and it was just a gift for the community. Sad that they couldn't make it the definitive version but I guess at the end of the day they're a business and they're gonna focus on what makes the most financial sense.

I like this game but it has SO many problems. It's honestly worse than the original, something that shouldn't be a thing with a remake. However given Rovio seems to be trying to listen to us I'm hoping that these issues are addressed

They need to listen to this, still many bugs and annoyances they haven’t even touched on yet. Ngl when I found out they said they couldn’t remake Angry Birds Rio, I was thinking maybe they could’ve put the Rio sprites in this game as an option as the Rio ones are slightly different from the chrome versions so why not just put the Rio Assets in the game

I think the biggest problem is it’s more of a remaster than the OG version. Angry Birds being one of my favorite games as a kid, seeing it for 99 cents, I thought, “oh what the hell”. And I purchased the game, only to realize just how many inconsistencies the game had. Where was Red’s Feathers? Or that one “lab experiment” world with bomb? I wouldn’t have cared, or even noticed all these random issues, but 8 levels? Come on! Overall I mainly just really hope this game gets updated.

I've seen it with some jank physics too. And not all chapters are even there (red's mighty feathers red's might feathers....)

Bad Piggies was meant to come to Rovio Classics because in the game files where found most of the item/stuff related of that episode

How did you change what the level was made of in that one scene? And where did the pigs become birds?

I want the old popping sounds of the pigs back they were so nostalgic to me and they haven’t been used since late 2013 but they have been used in mods so why can’t rovio bring em back by downloading them or transfering it to the game by RU-vid vids and they should also change the 5000 font to the og version that was used in seasons and in the og game as well

The pigs also don’t make some of their original sounds like they used to , For example when they get hit

While I do enjoy most of the video, I would have prefered if you used 2.1.0 as the og footage, as rcab is based on that version, but apart from that nitpick, great video! Pls rovio just fix this game...

My biggest problem of the remix is when the piggies just stare at you. If you have the last bird, the piggies just smile and stare at you but the original it doesn’t even stare at you. If you have only one bird, it doesn’t even smile level fail. That’s my biggest problem and I really want the hacks back.

Hey Foster, I found out something in the files of Rovio Classics: Angry Birds. There are sprites of Shockwave Bomb blinking, Shockwave Bomb squawking, Shockwave Bomb detonating, Slingscope, and two from the unused Red Potion all in the files of the birds released from 2011-2012 this means they got files from the original game, but due for the original changing their Pre-Chrome sprites to Chrome, The game being rushed and them never bothering to look in Seasons they had to find the sprites leading to 1. Bomb Chuck and Matilda not having proper squaking sprites until the game got it's final peace of polish. 2. Bomb using his minigame launch sprite instead of the orignal (that was probably removed for this squaking sprite) 3.Bomb needing to have his refection removed and not that good when brightened and 4. Rovio not having easy access to Chrome Terence.

When I found out the original game was coming back I was so hyped, and then I became extremely disappointed as a 2010 player the moment I played it. It's better than nothing I guess

Im gonna be real: These are major non issues. Most of this is stuff only the OGs would highly care for. Ther are a few legitimate bruh moments here and there, but overall, most of the issues listed are so small, its laughable. But hey, you do you.

Yeah this is the kind of pattern where the company is too big to execute on one focused thing throughly. Compare to the destroy all human remakes, that team is tiny in comparison and enhanced a (admittedly the originals ran on way older hardware) classic.

I feel like a lot of these issues are really minute and ultimately don’t matter. Seriously, this game isn’t as bad as you’re all making it out to be. It’s just a fun game to play when you’re bored.

I didn’t like the fact when Matilda got aggressive in the chrome era

I am glad that there are no power ups because now when I’m trying to watch an Angry Birds video, the power ups won’t take up like 99.9% of the video.

The physics are absolutely terrible and it's the main reason that I've completely stopped playing this version of the game. I do find most of this video is nitpicking especially if it's about menus not being exactly how they were in the original but I do agree this is not a fateful remake at all. Half the levels are missing and it runs and performs badly

Rovio continues to disappoint

Angry birds classic is a great game,rovio made 6 more games and golden eggs they had to see the point of the game and golden eggs were hidden in the game they had to hide the golden eggs they had to do something like that and golden eggs were hidden in hidden levels
