These tourists don't even have the minimum politeness to say "thank you" or "have a nice day" to the soldiers they constantly come to disturb. It's really sad to see this ...
It has got out of hand since the advent of those phones they all seem to have it never happened when for many years the tourists took our camera's and we never ever "mauled" either the Guards nor their horses's. The level of appalling behaviour has only happened because of those type of phones. and people with no respect or good manners
Well the horses are trined to tolerate artillery noise and warfare ….but these tourists make the horses frustrated rather than stressed. Frustrated and annoyed
It looks to me the horses are just fine. I love how “Joe cool” they are and how they humor the visitors. It is amazing how they behave with such crowds.
Too right. I would like to see them try it in other countries. Huge respect for the guardsmen and the horses. The trouble is this has got out of hand...tourists seem to think this is a little show put on for their amusement. It's time to restrict access.
Oh, tourists do the same here... and everywhere. Visit the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington Cemetery. Watch kids run around the graves, and people sitting on the tombstones to rest.
I say stop this circus. Allow people through for a set time 1 hour morning 1 hour afternoon. Walk through the arches and then shut the front gates. The police should stand next to the guards at all times to deter those idiots who would have been better visiting the fairground.
Ban the public from inside the gates. They show little or no respect to our serving soldiers. Their behaviour would not be tolerated in their home countries so why here? Horseguards is not a petting zoo.
Who are the guards guarding,,? I think more to the point is why are the horses and guards exploited for tourism. This is nothing more than a tourist spot. Tourism is big business in London and the royals and all of the pomp and ceremony draw tourism.
All this chaos that the tourists cause has got to stop and immediately. They can't be respectful and listen to directions . They get away with much too much with those soldiers and their horses.
When are they going to stop tourists being inside horse guards when the horse change over happens, it is disgusting the way these people behave when the soldiers and horses are trying to do their jobs.
@@elainebrown5586 Its a tourist attraction now. You can tell, otherwise they wouldn't allow the public to be in the courtyard. It wasn't that long ago that people were not allowed on the mall. There really isn't a need for the Guards anymore their guarding role has been taken over by the Police. Their kept purely to attract tourists.
This behaviour from tourists is appalling, it’s too stressful for the horses and guardsmen. Stop tourists from approaching them, no ifs or buts. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Aggravating to see the laugh when the Guard is trying to get his horse calmed down. They don't have a clue how stressful it is on Guard and horse or don't care just as long as they get their pictures
Strašný porad horší bez jakékoliv respektu k vojákům a koním.Poprve jsem slyšela zvednout hlad desátníka koně!!Myslim že mají dost toho otresneho chování turistů.❤
True. We Need Total Respect for Our Guards 💂Horses 🐎. Why is it too Much to ask for This Respect When these Heroes go all over the World and treated in this dreadful Manor. ❤love❤❤❤❤
@@Grimberian72 He will have completed full training and passed out to be accepted for ceremonial duties , around 6/7 years old . Just a little restless coming out of the stables .
Totally agree I love this guard firm when needs to be and always really attentive to his horse when he or she needs calming amazing to watch. Total respect ❤
When they change over don't let the people in their interfering with the horseguards and upsetting the horses. The horses are not happy. There laughing no respect.
If only people understood the historical uses of war horses as offensive weapons maybe they would be less nonchalant about their own behavior. Just because these horses do not trample people to death in a matter of seconds does not mean that their predecessors were not trained to do so. Respect the troopers both equine and human.
Never mess with Corporal of Horse, they have earned the right to shout and be loud! Also getting in the way of a mounted horse never ends well for the idiots that get in the way. They maybe a tourist attraction, never forget that they are serving soldiers/troopers on duty and your not funny and yes that pose you think is original is likely the 100th time that hour they have seen it. Stand back, watch and take photos but show some respect and listen to commands, in truth it’s for your safety!
I've not been watching these channels nearly as long as many others, but just in the time that I've been watching, it has exponentially gotten worse, and continues to on a daily basis. The tourists now seem to dictate how things go, and that's leading down a very slippery slope!
Can you imagine the Marine guard at Arlington taking half the flack OURS do? Once again, this is NOT Disneyland. They are NOT actors playing dress-up. They're serving SOLDIERS! If you're too entitled to show respect, don't come. Simple.
Ich könnte Weinen....die Pferde werden erschreckt durch diese Massen, sie möchten fliehen um dem zu entkommen und werden immer wieder "zurügerufen"....dabei wollen sie einfach nur weg.😢
Well done! This hasn’t been a fun for this Guard or his horse, too many idiots thinking they’re there to be ridiculed and disrespected for entertainment! I think all of them should be loud and aggressive when people ignore them or push the limits. These troopers have a lot on their plates right now, they don’t need this crap!😾🐎❤️
The Sergeant looks like a real hard arse who's not to be played around with. Looks like he'd have tourists on toast with a cuppa black tea & no sugar for brekkie !
His rank in The Household Cavalry is Corporal of Horse exclusive to Household Cavalry equivalent to Sergeant in other regiments . He is ready and willing to talk with respectful tourists but no quarter given to fools !
@@phillip9468 You're welcome , it comes from the days of Queen Victoria when members of the cavalry were of the nobility , she thought Sergeant sounded too much like servant .
If they were in the US and the military was doing a job marching they don't have to tell you to move they get the respect so do these people know they are on a job and working and not decorations
They're are so majestic for some reason. Intelligent with excellent memories. And imagine, these horses can communicate body language. They can sense good people.
I believe this could be more controlled if an entry fee could be charged and only visits for hour for a maximum of 50 tourists, all monies to the Guards fund. There could be strict protected areas around the guards and horses. This is a popular attraction because it costs nothing to visit Charges could help welcome more genuinely interested visitors and less idiots who delight in ridiculing the Royal guards and taunting horses. I've never seen the COH so angry.
No other nation would let tourist onto military installations, let alone treat the soldiers disrespectfully. I think they need to post signs about the yard horses and troopers being soldiers doing a job not for tourists entertainment.
I am 77 my Mum took me to see this often as we lived in London. Also Trooping the Colour. I took my son who was born in 1967 never was there a problem that i was aware of. We would walk down Downing Street no gates or fences then. Unfortunately not everything changes for the better. Respect appears to have gone from a lot of people. Imho
i have said it before in other video's and i say it again now. Why don't they paint the second white line red ? it will avoid any misunderstanding to what line exactly is pointed at.
Because if they ignore one line, they will ignore a second one. You do know they have been doing this for 365 years. Anything you can think of was tried ,tested and ditched long before your granny was born.
People are getting more and more stupid as the days go by!!! I cannot believe these tourists just stand there...the poor trooper having to shout and scream at them to move..really upset the horse!!! CoH Dan was his usual..calm, measured..in control self!!! xxxx
they should have a no touching horses rule and a barrier distance or a painted line on the floor, so you have to keep a distance from the guard and horse when having a photos taken
What’s that rolled up blue cord in the rear of the horse box for? Never seen it before. I can well imagine what will happen if the horse gets it over his hoof
I believe the guards & horses have lost respect because of such a casual atmosphere. No civialian should be allowed to touch the horses or stand close to either of the guards & their horses. They are military and on duty which should be stated and respected!
That horse was indicating by pawing at the ground that something wasn't right, with his tack or he was anxious or stressed. Should have been taken off duty. Hard to watch actually,
Perfect example of, Rules apply to thee, but not to me, until you get yelled at by the CoH, stable trooper AND a guard who is on duty. Then you are looked upon by the crowd as being stupid, when you've been shown, you could have been trampled by a huge horse. Champion horsemanship, getting that pawing beauty settled down.
The sooner public access is prevented from Horse Guards the better. I accept most "tourists" are good. However, there seems to be an increasing amount of ignorant, rude, odd and downright strange people in the crowds and to me, it doesn't look safe. I genuinely fear for the safety of the horses and guardsmen. It only take a nutter fanatic and there will be trouble for all.
It looked like the horse was following the Colour Sergeant at 6minute 34 and then he turned around and stared at the horse and it was like "nope I'm going to hide back in my tunnel until he goes away".
In the Household Cavalry his rank is Corporal of Horse equivalent to Sergeant in other regiments , there is no rank of Sergeant in The Household Cavalry .
Why is this chaos Still happening? Is the MOD waiting on an incident such as what happened at Buckingham Palace in the 1960s which then caused the change to have the soldiers behind the fencing for changing the guard/sentry duty. Also in 2014 further changes were made at Clarence house, St James etc for the safety of the guards.
These stupid people screaming and shouting around those horses they are a bloody nuisance and should be banned from horse guards no respect to these brilliant men and women who serve in the household cavalry no on the trooper who charged his horse at them I have nothing but total respect for our military and hate it when idiots like this act in this manner
They are NOT PROPS TO POSE BY OR ARE THEY FOR PEOPLE TO DISRESPECT OR ABUSE !!! IS THE HORSES props? Is it a zoo ? They are working they are doing a job!! Respect and keep your hands off your mouth off. An allow them to do the job they assigned to do. SERIOUSLY 😳
