This is so sad, I think what Parents need to do is to tell their Daughter the most important things she need to know about love. Don't let your Insecurity ruin the relationship you have with your daughter
being a father doesn't mean you choose what your child wants 😥 it's your child's decision, you made your own decisions when you were a teenager, so, let her be who she wants to be..😊
@@brewcity83 i think what they meant was less of "let your kid do whatever they want" and more of "Don't stop your kid from doing something Just because you dislike" like when a parent stops a child from watching a certain tv show or seeing a certain friend and the parent has no reason for doing It outside of "i don't like It"
Its also best that a father chooses whats best for the child. There is some situation where the child can or can’t decide on. Does not mean their freedom is taken. Its all about disclipining them, not discouraging them.
Having a Boyfriend or girlfriend is every Children's right. This father wanted to control her too rigidly, he didn't see the bond between them being so strong!!! Damn it!!!
It's not a right. Parents have the responsibility to protect a child and until 18 and that does include dating. Sane parents don't allow 13-year-old girls to date 18-year-old men, for example. Even at 16 or 17, that my include protecting a child from getting involved with someone who too old, into drugs, gangs, married, who got other girls pregnant, etc. In 2022 that often include online relationships with who knows who. That said, parents are responsible to raise children able to cope in the world. That includes being able to handle romantic relationships. Letting an 18-year-old out into the world with zero dating experience isn't a good idea either. Up to the parent to make decisions, but in this case she's 16, he's 17, and he'll coming to the door to meet the dad... probably healthy. Probably better he met the dad before "I love him"'s come out. The kick the girl out of the house and her being homeless isn't how the world (certainly the US) works. BF, a friend, teacher, someone's parents, etc. would call the father and ask WTF is going on and then call a relative and/or CPS. CPS would find a relative or foster care for her and dad would get a healthy child support bill every month.
@@BW022 yea in this case she was literally gonna be 17 in 2 months and not a 13 year old dating an 18 year old. Just cause ur kid is under ur roof doesn’t mean you treat them that way. Explain to them why, and meet their partner first to see if he’s allowed to be with ur daughter, instead of being a bitch cause ur wife left u and now you’re insecure someone younger than u has a partner Plus the double standards are so awful. More Men will be allowed to date at any age than women would. They’d have to wait till they’re over 21 but when it’s a man, there’s no standard for them. Either place the same standards or girls shouldn’t listen at all

Luis thank you for making this video! It’s not just veterans who go through this type of trauma, other ordinary people do as well. It’s perfectly fine to ask for mental help, it does not mean that your weak. You just need a outside person to help you deal with the pain & how to process those feelings when they pop up!
My dad used to tell me things I could never imagine to hear from him, I cried myself to sleep so many times. But I knew that his childhood wasn't so nice, he also was in military and saw some really bad things, and had some car accidents, so I ended up forgiving him every time, sometimes even apologizing, even if it wasn't my fault. Other times he would come to apologize... Now it's a lot better.
Well some people like to forgive so much and do like it’s a game. But not everybody is same. I won’t forgive to someone who causes me humiliation. Like never ever. It destroys my value and my creativity as an individual. It doesn’t only impact you right away but it does in future when you realize how much life is hard and how you friends parents treat their kids! You gonna find yourself as a bitch who takes them all and smile just to have a better day.. like you aren’t someone who’s ready to take a challenge and be ready for confrontations! Like you’re not strong! It takes more than enough in life to understand your purposes and your goals! Adding this to your mental health would destroy you.. thanks

We all have demons that we need to remove from our lives in order to become the person we are meant to be. It isn't easy, but if we let our families and friends in and are surrounded by love we can and will get through it! I can do all things through Jesus who strengthens me. When you become a parent and you have a child it's normal for a parent to care and be overprotective of their child but you also have to let that child be free and grow on their own so that they can prosper
Man that right there just broke my heart. I had somewhat of a similar incident when I used to date my ex girlfriend except her dad never kicked her out for dating me instead he tried to threaten me and my family just for me to even try to go out on a date with her. Sad thing was she never stood up to her dad. My family always supported me on it but her dad just wouldn’t give me a chance. At the end she ended up cheating on me and I was too heartbroken and mad I decided to break up with her. I kept having too many nightmares of her dad trying to hurt me. Man those were very awful times. At least this dad of his daughter ended up apologizing. My ex’s dad well he never even once apologized to me and my family and I’m so pissed off
Love this videos. Teenagers should be focusing on an education and choosing a career so they can have a great future. They will have their entire life to have many partners as they want once they are successful.
I’m not gonna say that dads SHOULD let their teenage daughters have boyfriends, but they shouldn’t stress so much as to ruin their relationships with their daughters.

PTSD...my cousin came back from Vietnam with this..The VA at that time didn't know how to handle it..all they did was keep him on drugs..he passed away in 2010..
My friend and her familly of 6 are refugees from Afghanistan. She is 11 and she has 2 brothers ( one is 9 and one is 7) and 1 sister ( she is 4). My friend got asylum and moved to us then to Canada. They don't have much but we are like sisters and I like the brother ( 9y one) because he is nice and kind. So yea this makes me cry 😢😢😢

So, when he was young and had girlfriends, their parents kick them out for dating him? The mother was kicked out for getting pregnant with his daughter? And in my state, I am assuming in all 50 of them, is illegal to kick out a minor!!! Good thing that guy recognized her!!!!
This is so sad being a single parent weather or not you are a mom or dad raising your son or daughter by yourself is not easy and it is even harder if you had a hard childhood or adulthood when you were younger but please teach your children that no matter what life throw at you that you will teach them the right way and never stop loving them teach them about love.
