His country is not literaly burning to the ground. Where the fires are, they are large, but isolated. In my part of the country, the skies are blue and the climate is mild. This is just nonsense dredged up by the media.These fires happen every few decades. And have been happening forever.

Truth is, things like these have been going on for a very long time except this time it has escalated to a much larger scale that everyone around the world is watching. I live in the Pacific islands, these kinds of stuff had just reached the attention of my side of the world....our government had issued us to make logos for climate change specifically for this crisis. It's we can do since our country is still developing in economy.....we pray for Australia

@@thepope2412 Yes they do but this massive inferno has destroyed those trees as well. The environment was exceptionally brittle due to drought, and very little rainfall. Climate Change. Green parts of the forest burned, places where back burning has occurred burned. Nothing could stop it! This fire season had temperatures up to 1000 degrees celsius in places. Everything in its paths was destroyed, including wildlife and fauna (Trees). Its unprecedented.

@@charki40 the reason why the forest burned is not because of climate change. They did not do enough hazard reduction which caused a build up of fuel in the bush. This is different than back burning.

@@thepope2412 I know the fundamental difference between back burning and hazard reduction. Fire hazard reduction is a forest management tool and back burning is an active fire management tool. Both were employed by our services before and during to no avail. My former partner fought wild bush fires in the past in Ash Wednesday.

@tubewatch59 Like not taking action on climate change. not properly preparing for the fires which the PM was warned about multiple times months in advance. Increasing the debt to a level that of all previous governments debt combined and then doubled. Allowing farming corporations to take so much water, from the Murray-darling basin that it killed millions of species, and made the area drier and more at risk of fires. Cutting funding to hospitals, schools, universities, and almost every basic service even though most of them were already underfunded. The list of reasons why the coalition is an irresponsible government is almost endless.

@tubewatch59 The reason I am annoyed at his increase of the debt is because he is spending all the money he has cut from the services on tax cuts for the ultra wealthy, and subsidies for corporations, which by the way has had very minimal economic benefit. Labor governments before him during the GFC one of the hardest economic crises we ever faced, managed to rack up MUCH less debt than him, while STILL funding services, his debt is a matter of his parties mismanagement and corruption, nothing more. All of those criticisms are valid, and the farmers taking water, is a result of his parties mismanagement, by lessening water restrictions and even refusing to enforce the already liberal water laws in place, so yes he (or at least his party) is to blame for that issue as well. And no I don't oppose back burning, and neither do most Greens, and even if the Greens did oppose back burning, the reason hazard reduction action hasn't been taken in NSW is because the state government cut funding from the fire services by a third, they simply didn't have the resources. The Greens didn't stop back burning, they are not and never have been in power at a state or federal level, and do not have the ability to restrict back burning like you and so many other Rupert Murdoch puppets claim. This government and PM is simply bad, every step of the way.

Bush fires and land clearing aren't bad when they're planned and controlled because it creates new life, they've been fighting for land clearing legislation for decades but the greens continue to silence them.

People are angry because he made the crisis worse by refusing to listen to scientists who predicted bad wildfires due to dry weather and climate change and cutting funding to firefighters. He went on vacation to Hawaii during the fires, dragged his heels in calling in the military to help evacuate, won't pay firefighters, many of whom have lost their homes or were volunteers and didn't get paid anything and some of whom have died. Now he's just going around shaking people's hands, won't listen to criticisms about their homes and continues to deny climate change and say environmentalists are alarmists, even as the entire country looks like the literal apocalypse. I'm pretty sure you'd be pissed if your prime minister/president ignored the expert warnings of a crisis, was off on vacation during said crisis, waits for people to die before calling in the army, now is going around acting like everything is ok. I'm amazed no one's chucked garbage and rotten vegetables at him, or dragged out the guillotine.

There are a lot of Australians who have noticed the chemtrails over the last few years, but we have been called conspiracy theorists. These bushfires are like nothing seen before and soil analysis shows high levels of aluminium, barium etc which have been acting as Fire accelerant.They are burning the bush so they can go in and rape the exposed countryside. Before you make inaccurate statements you should find out what the facts are. We are the driest continent and as such we have enormous water storage’s where it’s possible to do so. After a very bad drought they are low and in some places empty.

J Wigh “...All “you” can do is be fire smart and be fire ready”. All these families that live in these dry areas should have known to be fire ready as it is “still” fire “season”. They are accountable. Summer is pretty much our fire season mate. It doesn’t matter whos the PM at the time and it doesn’t matter what they’re doing when the fires happen. It’s not gonna change the fact that this is the kind of harsh environment we live in bud. So every individual that wasn’t ready is accountable for being caught up in it.
