@@LionofDawn Ah, well I assumed gaslighting is an action, regardless of the will behind it. Piccolo and Pan orchestrated scenarios that Gohan took to be true threats, though they were manufactured to manipulate his mental state. That seems pretty gaslighty to me.

@@GirkTheGoatpeople make the joke. Realistically Piccolo is actually Gohan’s best friend and was also basically a guardian for him at some points.

Piccolo took to the role of uncle very well and for Namekians it’s not as hard as you think they are extremely nurturing when necessary piccolo is from the warrior clan so he is a bit harsher by a lot of standards but when your raising men you can’t coddle the boy. And Gohan while he doesn’t like fighting is very capable he just slacks too damn much but after super hero I’ve noticed he’s finally pulled his head out of his ass. No more slacker Gohan from this point. Thank god Gohan is a great character but he gets to complacent as a warrior their is nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy peace but that requires one to be ready to defend that peace.

A lot of them, really, Cell just happens to be the one that Gohan could follow through on. Probably the most impressive is when he went from being destroyed by Recoome to having Second Form Frieza on the ground when nobody else was able to even scratch him until Piccolo showed up.

I think it's because Ki Sensing passively works like radar, he knows Piccolo is SOMEWHERE in his range, but that range, like the other Z-Fighters, has grown exponentially to the point where it requires specific focus to actually see where exactly a given person is within that range. Pan is still learning and so still can turn around and instantly recognize Piccolo in disguise because she sensed him entering her range.

It is more like Gohan can sense Piccolo's ki but didn't recognize him because his mind was busy thinking about something else. He was thinking about his research and now, he is thinking about saving Pan. It is like how you are so focusing on something that when you heard the voice of someone you know you don't recognize them. Happened to me a lot of times.

@@miyako1909 I have watched the movie. I just forgot the pan being trained part. Still though Gohan is much more trained and skilled than pan that if pan can notice it he should too. The moment he saw pan being held he should have been able to recognise piccolo there and then. And I doubt you have been able to sense kis. Otherwise what's my power level? Yeah thought so..

They really didn’t. The henchman was trying to act tough, but the moment Gohan got angry he’s asking Gohan to come and saying “please”. He thought he was tough until he realized how outmatched he actually was.

Beast is him supposedly becoming an enraged monster. Yet it's treated no differently than his attitude when he went SSJ2. Playing around, trying new stuff and waiting to get embarrassed. This is why I like Trunks.

And he'd been in polite society too long to have ingrained in him to have an incredibly strong leash on his emotions, he never lets himself fall into rage because that's just not normal social behavior.

And to be fair, that's probably the most interesting thing about Gohan. That his primary motivator has nearly always been rage. Remember Frieza boasted about having a power level of 1 million in his second form. But a 5 year old rage boosted Gohan went toe to toe with him and managed to floor him for some time.

@@newhybrid101 I think that's actually what's dangerous about him. As demonstrated here, he goes full throttle when stakes are on the line. Sure, he doesn't exert ALL of his potential power, but he doesn't hesitate to blow up that capsule plane to go right for his daughter. He needs a push to "go further beyond" his current limits, but that's a subconscious thing, I think. He's learned. But Goku and Vegeta and the others? They typically start a little slower (sure Vegeta doesn't QUITE have that much patience) but they live for the fight. They don't expel their power to match their perception of what the opponent's capabilities are. They want the fight to LAST. They want to get as much out of themselves to continue improving. Which is why they ramp up. They power up. They love training immensely. They take fights as an opportunity to train themselves in a real scenario, and even then continue to improve. Goku is ESPECIALLY susceptible to this. You know the saying, beware the good man. An evil man wants to gloat, wants to see you suffer, wants to watch as everything falls down around you before killing you. Beware the good man. A good man will kill you where you stand. Gohan started on the evil path when he started gloating at Cell. But he realized his shortcomings pretty fast when it bit him in the ass and changed his outlook on gloating and holding back and wishing suffering upon another.

They're not 100% robots I think that they're bionic fighters with metal type skin as Piccolo states that "you're clearly not a robot, you must be an android" seemingly segerating the two types of beings

He didn't rage until the end though. According to the movie, he was training. He has been for a long time now lol maybe pay more attention to other characters besides Goku and Vegeta and you would know that.
