"You're gonna have to EARN the good resources." Five seconds later. "So I'm gonna put the elves and dwarves right here on either side of the good stuff."
Hear me out. Big map, 18 immortal gods , one for each faction. The factions each have specific inherited traits. You let them fight it out while throwing in random armies of elves, dwarfs, and orks to mess with them. You may be thinking that sounds a lot like warhammer 40k. Yes, yes it does.
Love how it looked like Strong Bros made the first attack against Think and Stone thinking they'd win because of their strong trait, then Think and Stone decided to annihilate like a quarter of their entire population with 10 people.
"I don't wanna place anyone here, it should be earned" -> proceeds to put 3 out of 6 civilizations right next to it Following that thought, I would have placed no one remotely close to that spot
#SquadGoals. I hope you loved the map! I really didn't think that my map was really that good, but you showed me otherwise! I still can't believe that the one pixel I made between the two continents completely changed the entire game. Also, that's a pretty accurate pronunciation of Vriendeland! I'm just glad that the map actually is really good in terms of the geography, because had the nation of Goals not been connected to the mainland, or if the mountain range or desert had not been there, Goals would have possibly been wiped out during the game. Oh yea, so I saw a couple of comments that were saying that Vriendeland is dutch for Friendsland and Friendsworld; however, the strange thing is that I used Google Translate and inputted in Afrikaans for that name, and the name is just mostly because I was lazy and I couldn't think any other good name other than a fictional republic name that I had that was called, "The Republic of Friendsland."
@muis1498 well, I'm neither: however, I used Afrikaans because before, I was basically just smashing my head into a keyboard for names, and I figured that if I translated my English names ideas into a different language, I could find a name that I liked and what I figured sounded nice, and place it as a name for the map.
I know a lot of African words are shared with the dutch language. However, the pronunciation was not to accurate. In english you’d spell it like “vreenden island” i would think. Make sure to roll the R in the back of your troath, and dont replace the V for an F
@@gaatjegeenrukaangek6 Oh, I think I assumed he pronounced it fairly well as I heard the translator sound it out and I thought it sounded similar to what that translator was saying.
@@0dayswithoutincident934 If i put it in translate on Netherlands and African, it both sounds exactely the same and is pronounced as how I wrote it above.
TLDR- Worldbox housing crisis I have an idea- 2500 humans, 2500 elves, 2500 dwarves, no hunger, no old age, no settling new cities, and no breeding, just 3 citystates and a dream. Not only would there be a serious shortage of houses but also resources for armies and a stronger reliance on cultures. Elves get a slight boost because they are the only ones friendly to animals here. Hunger is off because everyone would starve to death in 3 years otherwise. I’ve tried this myself a few times and it was really interesting seeing what made the last standing cities successful
as a regular viewer, I can say that this one had it's own quality and fun. I really liked that. Sometimes simplicity is better you know. A big map, few traits and race. Big battles. All cool man keep going.
The elves made a critical mistake, of fighting dwarves over ore, thats how you encourage dwarves in this game, slam down some ore and they will make a bee line for it
The Humans may not have been the strongest,or the smartest, but they were the most ambitious. Their short lives meant they had more reason to breed and develop as a society, as well as to accomplish more.
I know the giant map videos take a long time to make but they’re really really fun to watch I wish he would do more of these but with even bigger worlds and just have enormous kingdoms fight it out.
Hey Gorg, sorry if this is a little off-topic but I am struggling to add mods to worldbox. Can you help? Love the video btw, brings me back to some of your older videos, like you said!
I knew for a fact the goals were gonna win from the start bro their strategic pacement really did a massive advantage on them and did you all notice that they were mostly attacked by boats
They need to make colonization less random! like dwarves head for mountains and crystal more. Humans go to ore locations. Elves head for forests and blessed. Orks are 100% random. The smarter the race the less likely they are to move into the more dangerous biomes. Like an ork will choose to send colonists to the spooky biome just as often as they will send colonists to a forest. It’d nerf orks and buff other races!
The reason why the Greedy Cog nation died because they started next to the savanna biome because the rhinos that spawned there, moved to that territory.
Is it possible to get a mod that stops people from getting random traits when they are born? If mixed with the mod that makes all kids from always inheriting all traits from their parents should make some interesting videos.
I like to turn on unli resources and when time has come spread spite all over the world watch everyone fight for their lives while avoiding hordes of monster and flame of dragons :)
do a video where you have 4 circular islands in each corner and every 20 years, a zombie will spawn in the center. the island where it goes to will have to deal with a zombie (not that big a deal) while the island diagonal to it gets a random negative trait. The two other islands get a random positive trait. random idea, but i thought it would be interesting
It's funny you say the Orcs are op, because boy are they dumb. 🤣 I have a playthrough where they just kept getting shit on bc every race was more advanced than them, even though everyone got an equal start on their own island. First the dwarves took over. I reset the island for the Orcs, then the elves took it over. Third time the I gave them MASSIVE advantages and the humans came, took the island and it's advantages and shit on the other two remaining races taking their islands as well. It all happened so fast. 😭
