@@DollSchmidt4429 thanks for the reply I completely forgot I posted this four years ago. And I agree with you but I think it's funny that they would rather fight than run lol
@@mistercarterceoofdoodlewor6468 unlike hamsters they are herbivores, hamsters are omnivores but lemmings not because their intestines are longer than hamsters and also their teeth are flat and blunt unlike hamsters that have more sharp teeth to an omnivore diet
I don't know. I think if they still made the same noises and bounced around the same way they'd still be too adorable to be terrifying. They'd be more dangerous for sure, but they'd probably still be cute enough no one would take them seriously.
You're not far off, wild European hamsters react quite similarly when they're passed off. They just growl more instead of squeaking so much. And they stand up on their hind legs instead of staying on all fours like this little dude.
Reminds me of my hamster when I had the audacity to make any noise during the day, or when I put him in his cage for a couple of hours when I had a visitor, or when I moved my foot while he was sitting on it, or when I plucked him out of the curtains he was climbing, or that one time when I wanted him to stop chewing my printer cable... Oh the memories...
My one hamster escaped from his cage during the night and went inside of our tumble dryer inlet, they used to try murder eachother and hated everything including me. Great pets 10/10
@@Demertech Hamsters will absolutely try to murder each other and other small creatures. Very solitary, they don't like other animals up in their business, including their own kind. Mine even has the audacity to threaten the cat on a daily basis, as does the gerbil.
I've seen two videos of angry lemmings in the last five minutes and ten minutes ago I didn't even know they existed. What is a lemming? How have I lived so long in ignorance?
I do feel like the lemming could run away if it was scared. It's probably in their genes where going agro was more effective than acting like prey and running away. @@00Athus1
@@GuyDude-hk8uy holy crap, a reply on a comment from 8 years ago. There's something I didn't expect. I'm not even going to bother rewatching this video to see what I was talking about, sorry.
No worries fren, that commenter was incorrect anyways. The lemming is simply scared and trying to scare away the 'predator', your original post was therefore correct!@@AGirlWhoseNameI4got
Can't you see it's backing off? It only lashed out when the cameraman got too close. And at the rate it was breathing, it looks like it could end up having a heart attack
Meanwhile somewhere during Canada during the 60s. Disney director: just chuck em off the mountain and say they're suicidal or something. Random cameraman: sure thing bud.
I kinda wonder if these were the inspiration for the Half-Life Houndeye. The little chortle at 0:21 sounds so similar. Just imagine it with a bit more windup.
Due to their color , animals associate them with being dangerous! (fun fact: lemmings are usually known to be brave and aggressive , although quite harmless , their set of skills help them ward of predators!)
Lemming: “FACE ME AND *_DIE,_* TITAN! BEFORE THE DAY IS DONE I SHALL HAVE YOUR BLOOD WATERING THIS FIELD!” Cameraman: “lol chubby lil creature is angy”
I never knew how accurate squeaky toys sounds were. I thought it was just a made up sound, but it's actually modeled quite well off these little dudes.
Being brave like a lion is easy. When you are a 400 pound predator with massive claws and teeth, it doesn't require much courage to stand your ground. Being brave like this lemming, standing your ground against a human a thousand times your size, is a much bigger deal.
