That what I thought. Especially given his history against Liverpool. Also, he comes from Great Manchester, the home of Liverpool biggest rivals. And also, I remember one ref I can't remember the name, he said he was never selected to officiate Liverpool games because he came from Lverpool city. But Tierney from Manchester officiate 20% of Liverpool games, with all the controvetials he cause season after season.

There's no point talking about ref's, theyre over protected by the fa and pgmol. The refs are so bad, in the Premiership and uefa comps that the lion share of results are questionable. Any team playing a spanish side in a uefa comp is being done every time. Var is just showing these refs are either completely incompetent or corrupt. There's no other way of looking at it now. They're not just getting one look at situations now, they seen replays. There's no excuse

Paul Tierney didn't see the Rodri handball in the Man City v Everton game last season as "clear and obvious" he is an incompet bias ref and i hope he got a premier league medal from City because those two points were the difference in them winning the league last season, what citys he from again? The "foul" from Salah on Davies at the end when he was pulling at his shirt that he adjudged from 60 yards away was abysmal. Two wrongs don't make a right so Simon Jordan cant argue the Jota red was in Liverpool's favor when Skipp should have been sent off in the first half

Everyone talking about the two non-red cards but Spurs’ equaliser all came from a free kick given against Salah when he was the one being fouled. I don’t believe in refereeing bias, at least conscious bias anyway. Every club gets decisions working for and aginst them. I just think a lot of them are incompetent. Salah was being pulled and when he shrug him off and was just about to get away, the defender threw himself to the floor and got awarded a foul. However I think it was the next passage or play when I think Milner committed the foul for Spurs equaliser.

This guy for second time did not give anything to a player with high tackle what near brike Diaz leg after last year near same as Kane .He give all free kicks to TOTTENHAM in midfielder and for absolutely same situations in our favour we did not get any .Mo Salah shirt was pulled for whole 20 yards ,and Salah did not stop or try to dive or anything and want to continue his run and for that Tierney give free kick to ..Tottenham and against us .Richarlison trew himself on the ground to dive obviously for penaltie like he have done it 100 times in his career and The crooked Tierney do not give him yellow. Why ??? Did he not watch football last 5 years ??? The worst referee in Europe .Probably. But this is not the problem. He is crock against Liverpool. He cost us the title last year as well .There is little doubt about that .He singlehandedly decides the title in City and Guardiola favour. There is no doubt that if Liverpool have same decisions as City in their favour Liverpool will win the title last Season by minimum 5 points.

The players arm is sticking out. The ball is prevented from going towards goal because it hits his arm. After hitting the ground, the ball bounces up and hits the players arm again. All this happens INSIDE the box. Don't know which letter of which law you have been reading. Even Steve Nichol on ESPN admitted Liverpool got away with one there.

There's always gonna be bias when working with human refs. They would have have a team they supported growing up and also managers/players they just dont like. its entirely plausible that tierney is bias against liverpool, especially since he's been pictured at united games in 2014.

@@Do27gg the ref was so close to the tackle on Diaz he coukdve smelled shipps aftershave...that's as shocking a non blatant red card I've seen since the Pickford two footed tackle on VVD THAT tore HIS ACL and thank God didn't end his career but what's the similarity in both instances? Of course they should release the audio but they don’t (mic the refs like they do in NHL), if they said tierney said nothing wrong, prove it! Jota got the ball and only had eyes for the ball, tho skipp dipped his head for the ball and Jota boot was high, as a red that’s an orange card for me, but if he got a red I wouldn’t argue against that saying that Skip should of been sent of the the tackle on Diaz who’s lucky he didn’t get a broken leg and end his comeback from a bad injury, Anyway Klopps getting a fine (club will pay it) and a 3 game touchline ban! Or the FA might get a strop on and give him the rest of the season to make an example out of him, but if they do they better give everybody the same ban that goes up to linesman’s face like that, be fecking consistent that’s all we ask!

I don't support Liverpool but agree that PL referees are a disgrace and they are biased, even if unconsciously. We should import referees from abroad.

Klopp's comments on Ryan Mason after the game are more of an issue than the antics with the officials. Ryan Mason had his career ended with a head injury and had every right to complain about that decision on Jota. It was a red card offence and Jota ended up scoring the winning goal. Klopp should have done his homework on Mason and controlled himself. His comments on Paul Tierney were also weirdly personal, the major decision in the game and the result both went their way. Klopp is used to going scorched earth, he lacks an empathy and tact that even Alex Ferguson possessed. The club should accept any ban and issue apologies to Mason, Tierney and the fourth official. Klopp's ego is becoming an issue and the club have a history of rallying behind their beloved figures rather than owning up to their faults.

This comment section is the reason Klopp deserves a massive ban. Not only did he conduct himself in an aggressive manner towards the fourth official, he publicly questioned the _integrity_ (not just criticising a decision) of a referee without any tangible proof or substantial grounds, knowing it will stir up social media and have all his Liverpool fans siding with him and attacking the refs. ...After a game in which the scorer of Liverpool's winner should have been sent off. Disgusting machiavellian behaviour. He should stick to criticising the opposition for not playing in a way that would suit his team. That's embarrassing but at least it's not immoral and offensive.

I don’t think you can compare Skipps tackle with Jotas kick in the head - clearly Skipps challenge was right on the margin both ways because he touched the ball - yes it a foul and yes sometimes a player might get sent off for it but I think it’s one of those where reputation can come into it too - if it had been Romeo he probably would have got sent off but Skipp is usually a clean player - that said I do think that he was probably lucky not to get a red - but to compare it to Jota’s foul is just mad - under what circumstances could it be right for him to even think about kicking a ball at head height? - not in the middle of the park for sure - he took a risk even if it was unintentional and he cut his opponents face open - this was totally irresponsible and it was dangerous play beyond any shadow of a doubt - Klopp is just an embarrassment to himself and to Liverpool for ignoring it - it is one of the worst refereeing decisions in terms of foul play for a long long time and both the ref and especially VAR should be made to account for it

Reckless endangerment of an opposition player's health is the definition of a red card for serious foul play. Just an incomprehensible bad decision by Tierney that ended up deciding the game. How VAR decided that it wasn't a serious blunder that the referee should review is even more baffling. If Liverpool were to still qualify for the CL, it will be courtesy of that decision.

@@gustaaf1892 well the good news is that Liverpool won’t qualify for CL so we won’t have to put up with that Wally Klopp in what is for me miles and away the best football competition to watch bar none - the bad news though is that VAR is a total disgrace - there have been more arguments about referee decisions since VAR began and all it does is disrupt the flow of the game - fans are parting with serious money to put up with their crap - if we were getting demonstrably better decisions on a regular basis then fine but we are not - it’s time to bin it

Liverpool could easily win all their remaining games and United are capable of dropping points against anyone because they don't score enough. Plenty of banana peels amongst Brighton, West Ham, Wolves, Bournemouth, Chelsea and Fulham. I've got the feeling United are running on fumes with their small squad.

Jordan is so biased. He always has a go at Liverpool, never misses an opportunity to do so. Even when the point is about other teams....Jordan mentions Liverpool in a derogatory way. The main point however is this.....Skip only tipped the ball but the follow through was a leg breaker. So, if Skip had been sent off (which was the right decision) the game would have taken a different route completely. Tierney is biased against Liverpool, period. No way should he ref 21% of our games.

I have never understood what managers think they will achieve by effectively attacking the 4th official when they are unhappy about a decision made by the referee. The 4th official isn't going to change anything, but could potentially cause the manager to be red carded if the language is considered to be abusive. It is a no win situation for the managers, but they continue to do it.

Simple bring the rules from Rugby, nobody is allowed to speak to the ref only the captain. Anyone approaches or mouths off straight red, regarding hearing the referrees it works really well in Rugby. Ive been to many rugby games and when the referee is talking to players and TMO you cant hear the conversations and its frustrating because when you watch it on telly you hear them and its great

Paul Tierney blew the whistle early when Mane was through on goal vs Man U. 1 min added on, it hadnt even reached the 46th min of the half and it was literally a goal scoring moment. Paul Tierney let Harry Kane get away with a reckless challenge on Andy Robertson that was a clear red card. Paul Tierney gave Andy Robertson a red card for kicking a player and not getting any ball. Gini Wjinaldum was fouled and Paul Tierney didnt give anything so Klopp went up and told him he doesnt have problems with any other referee only him and Tierney replied " I missed it Jurgen, im like the players, im going to make mistakes, i missed it, get over it" There has been plenty of instances where stuff like this has gone on. Yes Jota was lucky but 1 decision in Liverpools favour doesnt counteract all the bizarre decisions against, particularly the early whistle when we were through on goal. That was unforgivable against united of all teams, Manes 1 on 1 with de gea about 10 seconds to go till the minute added time is up and he blows! Ridiculous call.

Jota's challenge was debatable. He's going for the ball and Skipp's head comes down to meet his boot, it's clearly accidental and could go either way depending on the Ref. Plus Skipp's challenge from the first half was dangerous and clearly *not* accidental, so he shouldn't have even been on the pitch to get a boot to the face anyway.

The Liverpool fans had good points. The pundits however are as delulu as English refs. Doesn't know why there's a fourth official there. Thats in case any official gets injured. Thinks the refs can make a disturbing number of mistakes but its okay because theyre just mistakes. Doesn't work like that since players and coaches get punished for their mistakes. Some of these 'mistakes' are literally title deciders like Sterling offside and Rodri handball. Also didn't even know that in Germany refs talk to the media after games unlike in England. Incompetent nincompoops everywhere smhm

Liverpool complaining about refs after getting a dodgy penaly against Fulham, while Fulham's claim for a penalty was (yet again) waved away, is laughable. The refs and VAR have become a bad joke. No club has been on the receiving end of so many poor decsions this season as Fulham have. It's a miracle Mitrovic didn't throttle Chris Kavanagh at Old Trafford.
