It been done. I have such a trap. It has a analog timer that releases a side door so you can be safely at a distance when they exit!! I think it’s from Havaheart.
Just heard a growl when I was taking out the trash. Scared the s*** out of me. That’s why I came here - trying to figure out what made the snarl. Now I know!
The things are vicious, I actually searched this vid because I just had two in my coop a couple minutes ago. Haven’t got the nerv to kill the things, but I sure beat the heck out of it with a huge fire stick (trying to scare it away for good) Hate these little guys, but I want to trap them instead.
I heard growls like this from a patch of tall grass in my backyard last night while trying to get my sister's dog, but I thought it was an opposum on account we only ever have those and armadillos in our yard at night.
Was outside around 10 PM tonight, neighbor lady leaves cat food and corn out, which pisses me off because of all the raccoons and possums it attracts. Never heard the raccoons fighting before but tonight two of them were going at it with eachother pretty bad only feet away from me. Things sound evil so came to RU-vid to hear them. I love animals but hate these things.
a racoon was under my deck too and my dog barked at it 3 times but now its out and the deck is fixed and my dog didnt get hurt but the racoon was big but its ok now
raccoon do get much bigger indeed but in big cities. i was in British Columbia , canada 20 odd years ago and saw the size of animals there. the whole area had alleyways behind houses for garage access and for garbage trucks to go through to stay off main roads. there fore it is a rural highway for Coyote,Skunk,Deer,Raccoons etc... from 2 am- 4 am. One night i saw a skunk that made me stop the truck i was driving. it looked the size of a pregnant raccoon. the raccoons were twice the size of most forest raccoons.
@@demonorse That's saying a lot, because me and my parents are raising a group of baby raccoons, and when they crawl all over you, it hurts because their claws are so charp.
If you want skunk you some kind of meat. Chicken works pretty good. I can't believe you let that Feller go. I would have put him in the pot. Very tasty.
@@cheri6360 I've been eating all my life and I'm in my 50s. So I'm guessing it's probably safe. It's not good to harvest them in the hotter months. We only Harvest them in the winter time when it's cold enough for him not to have any worms or any other bugs. When you catch him live it's just like any other animal usually you can get a sense of whether they're healthy or not. And then when you're processing the meat it's just like any other meat. After you've been around it a while you can tell whether it's and good shape or not.
