Captkeel got mad at me cause he decided to rock up on a reaper 5 with champ streak galleon who had recently sunk the whole server and then expected it to go well when he got a couple holes and all 4 of us hopped on and he said we were spawn camping cause he kept bucketing and dieing

hey, so update. gave him a chance again about a month later. as of a few days ago, he fucked up again and broke one of the very few rules i set if he was to even breathe in our general direction again. its honestly sad. 3 months is all it took.

One time I set up a ladder on my roof and used it to launch myself to Cptkeel's house and as I flew over it I threw firebombs and he got mad and threatened to report me as he bucketed water onto his house. Pretty crazy guy, ngl.
In order to silent board, you must get on the ladder in the exact 100 milliseconds that you get the prompt, if you do not, it will still kind of work but they will still be able to here you
One thing that fascinates me the most from this vid is how good in-game speech-to-text system is. I couldn't understand most of those soundboard sounds these guys played, but STT got it all clear

its an exploit, half of the community is like "noooo dont do that, i dont know how to do it therefor its hacking and you should be banned!!" and the other half is like "haha funny ladder launch go brrrrrrrrrrrr"

Does Rare actually ban people for using that ladder glitch? Would be a really dumb decisions instead of just focusing on fixing those bugs. Even Valve is faster by fixing exploits in their 16 year old hat simulation game.
I don't think they have banned anyone for just ladder launching. Theb keeps getting because he streamsniped like 3 years abo before even being on youtube and they have been banning all his account for ban evasion ever since.

Everyone can do it and it isn’t 3rd party that someone can’t replicate. Just have to know how and the skill field is leveled, just like everything else
Since everyone is so vocal about their opinions on glitches I might as well say mine. I used to think that ladder launching, silent boarding and any other glitch is extremely unfair and should be bannable, but with time I saw that Rare is completely incapable of fixing them, while also actively working towards babifying PVP and ultimately the entire game for new players. And since nobody seems to share that ideology of mine I just completely stopped caring, and I will use anything to my advantage so long as it doesn't put my account at risk. I'm also ok with people using FOV now because Rare is intentionally choosing to not add it for no good reason despite what they're saying, even though I don't use it.
Silent boarding was a glitch that everyone in game could use... lander launching isn't. Anyone who uses it is a cheater and should be banned. It's a massive unfair advantage that not everyone can use.
That launch thing is cool and all but i really hope you don't do that to everyone, I play this game to chill and when i run into players like you i just think your hacking, first time I've seen that be used, i really hope it gets patched it makes running away pointless and i suck and have no friends so running is my only hope.

@@bredleyperekuper3492 they always say they patch it but they never do. You pretty much just spam it until you get stuck then it launches you out. You this all over rocks too. They tried to fix this with the black screens but if you can jump out of them you can get stuck then launch out.

Personally I'm not a fan of exploits and I can see why old mate was pissy about the ladder launching. But they were dogshit and you guys were going to roll them anyways. Solid video.

They aren’t cheats, they are bugs rare absolutely refuses to fix . They have been in this game for 5 fucking years, he isn’t a bad guy. He does it to be funny.
I mean, Rare has had years to fix this. Not one year man, they’ve had years of people doing it. If Rare doesn’t care then oh well. It’s a video game. It didn’t even affect this fight regardless. Theb should have been devastated by the galleon’s broadside but they fucked up every chance. Fuck ‘em.
I really do not understand the mindset behind "exploiting == hacking". Rare has done nothing to remove loads of known exploits for 5 years now. How is it Theb's fault that they exist and can be used? It's not like he needs some external client or scripts to pull it off. You just grab and ungrab the ladder at a funny angle and jump. If Rare are so against ladder launching, why haven't they put an ounce of effort into removing it? If a 4 man crew is frightened of and running away from your sloop, why not use the tools available to catch up to them? If anything, I think exploits like these are what create the skill gap within SOT. In the video, the galleon crew happily quickswapped throughout the fight. That's also an exploit. Why is that ok but ladder launching is not? By their logic, they also cheated. This whole mindset is so immature and just an excuse to disguise how shit they are at the game. The temper tantrum at 34:02 is very indicative of this. If you refuse to learn the game's mechanics and quirks, then expect to get washed by crews that have. Blame Rare, not Theb.
I agree that Glitching is not hacking but it is cheating and should be bannable regardless of who does it, Especially if its the Mast Glitch, Keg bumping, or Ladder Launching
@@nightwolf7231 90% of these exploits have been in the game since day 1. That was over 5 years ago now. At what point does this become Rare's fault for not patching them out? They are very aware that they exist...

Its both theb and rares fault, if you found and exploit to break tha law and get away with it does it mean that now the state is at fault and not you since they should have taught about it?
