Well, I think they're shocked because you know the first ep it says that "rainbow color is unique", and how nobody has seen it until Helen shows them that she is one of them without knowing it herself. But every time when she shows her form, only some people are around, and it seems like there are no rumors going around that she is a unique deer from the people who know about it. So basically not many people know that about her, and that's why they are so shocked... well for me.
